Absolutely love the food here. This is my favorite Indian place for a reason so so so good. Their dal is amazing.

BF and I are huge fans of Indian food and were curious about Turmeric ever since it opened. I was also very sad about Mykonos closing, so we postponed our visit. Finally we found ourselves in the area and decided to just do it and stop for a meal. We tried their veggie chilly momos and found them good, but not spectacular. They felt like a pre-made item with a sauce addition. BF had the korma entree and enjoyed it very much, although we did note that all the sauces were slightly different than what we normally have had. This might be a regional difference and didn't take anything away from the flavor profiles. My malai kofta was also very good, just with a different sauce. The menu is a little all over the place and the drink menu has some just plain odd combinations on offer. But the service was warm and friendly and the atmosphere was cheery.

The Vindaloo curry lamb dish was delicious with the spice level I requested, the fragrant basmati rice was excellent and the garlic naan bread was a perfect complement to the dish. I also enjoyed the lentil soup on a cold evening in Milwaukee. Akshay, my waiter was kind and responsive. I enjoyed the experience. The dining tables are getting a little beat up but that didn't spoil my meal.

I used to come here when it was a Greek diner. The layout of the building is the same but the decor is bright and cheery. The sign outside says there's a lunch buffet. The buffet is available from 11-2. I was there later so I ordered off the menu. I was hungry and the reviews recommended the naan. I got the butter chicken which was delicious, with plenty of sauce to mop up with the naan. It was made with tandoori chicken that would probably be pretty good on its own. The naan was superlative--pillowy and buttery. Portions were generous. Service was friendly and there were cricket matches on TV. I was there at a quiet time of day but I saw some people come in to order takeout. Hopefully word of mouth gets around.

This used to be a fun Greek greasy spoon. Now it is transformed into a really lovely Indian restaurant. But one where there is a beautiful fully stocked bar and the ability to watch cricket matches while you dine. I imagine this is what a mom would dish up for the kids but with a fancy flair. Everything is beautifully prepared and full of flavor. And the naan was pillowy soft - I will be thinking of their naan for a long time. The presentation of the gulab jamun was perfect, with a dusting of coconut on top. Hubby enjoyed falooda with ice cream. I want that next time. Very nice staff - we will be back.

Came in for the all you can eat Lunch Buffer from 11AM-2PM. The service was kind and the food was pretty good. The Chicken Tikka Masala was a bit on the sweeter side, but still enjoyable. The service even asked me if I would like anymore food before they packed up, which was very considerate. The bathroom and overall place was very clean. For $16, all you can eat, this was a good deal.

In Milwaukee for a few days. Came here tonight for dinner. Firstly. The staff are so rad. Very friendly and talkative. Enjoyed the conversation. The food was spot on ! Spicy lamb tikka masala was delicious! The mixed pickle was so good. Some of the best naan bread I've had in a while. Hope to be back

Ordered the Samosa Chaat, Chicken Soup, and Veg Biryani, all were fresh and flavorful. The chaat was tangy and crisp, the soup light and comforting, and the biryani aromatic with well-cooked veggies. The staff were very helpful and cheerful, making the experience even better.

my mom & i got takeout from here yesterday for the first time; yesterday + today they are celebrating their one year anniversary with 25% off your order, which was perfect timing since we just found out about the place! we got the fried cauliflower to share (it was AMAZING. didn't taste gross/deep fried in the slightest, it was perfect!), and she got the chicken tikka masala while i got the lamb korma. the portion sizes are great, (the pictures i attached are our leftovers, ate all of the fried cauliflower and have tons of food for the next day or two!) some of the best indian food i've had, and the customer service while placing the order and picking up were incredible! we placed the order ahead of time, and while i was on my way to pick up they even gave my mom a call to let her know it was hot & ready! we had a busy day so we were unable to sit down to eat, but the inside of the restaurant looked great as well! 10/10 recommend!!!

Colorful little place with a bar and about 20 small tables indoors. I had great expectations after reading reviews and the website menu. We arrived midafternoon, while they were taking down the noon buffet. Reality did not live up to expectations. The paper menu was different than that on the web. I've had many potato dishes at Indian restaurants but never one that was French fries drenched in a sweet chili sauce. The dal was good. I ordered a beer and was served a different kind than what was in the menu.

**July 2025: Wednesday Lunch Visit**…read more While I was researching iconic food in Wisconsin I came across an item called Butter Burger which sounded so decadent and delicious. My friend and I were only exploring Milwaukee for a day so we wanted to make sure that we picked a good spot to try this region favorite. AJ Bombers came up consistently ranked on top for really great burgers. We came on a weekday so parking was pretty easy, but it is metered street parking. The restaurant is located at the corner of a large building and since we arrived right at opening we were seated right away. We ordered the following -Cheese Curds $9 - These were delicious. Nice and crispy, almost had an airfried texture to it so it tasted healthier than others that I've tried -Bomb Butter Burger $14 - The meat was very juicy and overall a good burger -Milwaukee Burger $12.50 - This was a fantastic burger and I think I preferred this to the Bomb Butter Burger. The flavors were more balanced IMHO -Tater Tots and Fries: The burgers all came with a side and I enjoyed both! They were freshly fried and served hot. The tots made me feel really nostalgic since those were things I remember eating growing up. The unfortunate news is that this restaurant despite all the accolades will be closing later in 2025. It's served Milwaukee for 16 years and while I'm bummed that they'll be closing their doors later this year I'm glad that I got enjoy one of Milwaukee's best. If you get a chance to check them out their decor also has a lot of personality.

I haven't been in years, but it was sad to see that they don't give out peanut like they used to and they were not all over the floor. There was a singular waitress there but she was nice and checked in on us. I ordered the Milwaukee Burger. I loved the onions on it and added tomato to it. I thought the burger itself was ok. Not too much flavor, I wish it was a little more pink. It would've been better if the bun was more toasted as well. I ordered onion rings, fried pickles, and cheese curds. Cheese curds and onion rings were really good, but the frickles were huge and every time I would take a bite the pickle would come out of the batter and I would be stuck with the plain batter alone. Overall loved the ambiance and I was miss Aj Bombers and its history.

It is a ln old school, classic vibe. I enjoyed all the sports decor and memorabilia on the walls. Right off the bat, one of the things that stood out to me was how incredibly affordable this place was! Looking at the prices, I was surprised that you could get a burger here for around twelve bucks including fries. That's like fast food prices. Most restaurants charge way more than that and don't include fries, so this place is an amazing bargain! We got their cheese balls, which were cheese curds. These were not bad. I do prefer a more beer battered curd, but I didn't mind these. I also got a bacon cheeseburger called The Loser. In reality, it tastes like a winner. The bread bun is amazing, so soft and fresh. The burger is juicy and flavorful. It's also not too crazy big where all the toppings fall apart. The fries were also crispy and tasty. Our server was also very kind and attentive. She gave us sugar cookies at the end of our meal, which was a nice treat. Overall, I enjoyed coming here. I would come here again to catch a game and enjoy a drink and some bites. You get a decent burger that is also a good bang for your buck.

Saw this place on the walk back to our car and stopped in for a couple drinks and some appetizers. We were very happy we did. We sat at the bar and it was fairly empty at the time, which was a Thursday around 1pm. The bar is so beautiful with all of the copper details. It feels very clean with an upscale look but doesn't feel like it's too fancy to stop in on a regular day. Our bartender was awesome and she was training a new person that day so she was happy when we chose some fun cocktails for the newbie to make. Our favorite was the Beet Marshall. Oh my gosh is this a delicious cocktail! Unique too! Very refreshing, light. And fantastic color! My partner tried the Rhubarb Negroni which was also very good but we both decided Beet Marshall was the winner! We had the fresh pork rinds for an appetizer, came out sizzlin and poppin! Yes!! We also had the Cajun dill curds they were really good, not too heavy with just enough seasoning. I think this place is a great spot to check out anytime! They had tvs at the bar so sports fans could see their favorite games while enjoying a drink and some food. Nestled among a lively stretch of bars and restaurants, it has a fun atmosphere that makes it easy to settle in for a few hours. I stopped by during March Madness, and despite it being the middle of the day, the place was buzzing with fans watching the tournament. The bartender--who was the only one working at the time--did a phenomenal job keeping up with the crowd. While drinks occasionally took a little longer, she handled the rush with professionalism and a great attitude. One thing that really stood out was the bar itself; it's impressively long, possibly the biggest I've seen in a venue of this size. The food was exactly what you want from a sports bar: satisfying, flavorful, and the perfect complement to an afternoon of college basketball. I'd definitely stop back to watch another game.

While other restaurants in the district had hour and a half plus waits, we practically owned the place sitting wherever we liked. On event days they have a reduced menu. As they were slow, the kitchen gracefully allowed us to place a regular menu Crustless Grilled Cheese with Tomato Bisque order for our kiddo. I ordered the LP Burger with bacon ($14 + $2.5 - double smash, sharp american cheese, shredded lettuce, fresh tomato, shaved red onion, LP sauce, potato roll) and my wife ordered the Potato Chip Crusted Chicken Sammy ($12 - honey mop glaze, mayo, shredded lettuce and pickles). The bar has a fair amount of good bourbons and at decent prices for being in the deer district, such as the double neat pour of Stagg I had. There was one bartender/server for the place, but she knew how to hustle while still being super friendly. The interior could use some art on the walls, but is bright and clean otherwise. The food was delicious and presented very well. That bacon I paid extra for? Oh my goodness. Thick cut, perfectly cooked, so dang good. Usually I regret adding bacon but here it is a must. My 8-year-old kiddo, who is practically a vegetarian at this point, devoured her grilled cheese and half of the big bowl of soup. I never even saw my wife's chicken sammy, so you know it was good when it goes down that fast. Thankfully as our food arrived the place started to fill, as they deserve to be filled! I want to come back on a non-event day to try the shrimp poboy, their house dry rub wings, as well as on the weekend for their brunch.
