Strawberry cake
Gretel Y.

Met a friend here for a late lunch on a weekday. I asked for a table for two and although the restaurant was very busy, to my surprise, I was seated right away. I had a great view of the cakes and pastry case! The space is cute, charming and bright. My friend was running late, but the staff didn't seem to mind. They even said it was fine. I ordered shots of espresso ($3.75) and a slice of strawberry cake ($5.95) while I waited. The staff checked on me several times. Once my friend arrived, we ordered our entrees. She, too ordered a slice of cake to start then a sandwich for her entree. I ordered a small caesar salad ($4) and a slice of the mushroom and leek quiche ($8.25) The cake was divine!! The slice was huge and every bite was perfect. It was moist and the strawberry (maybe cream cheese) frosting complimented it. I'm so glad I ate the cake first. The quiche was fluffy and delicious and the caesar salad was tasty. Even though I ordered a small, it was plenty for a lunch entree. I was full. My friend enjoyed her sandwich, too which was massive by the way. The staff was pleasant and attentive throughout. Very quick to respond. I would definitely return if I'm back in the area!

Super cute cafe in the Peachtree Battle shopping center. I love the decor and the service was wonderful but the food left something to be desired. The dishes are fairly simplistic--soups, sandwiches, and sides--but the quality and the ingredients just weren't there. I had the famous walnut chicken salad sandwich and there were no walnuts or raisins to taste. The bread was crinkly on top and did not replicate the taste or appearance of high quality French bread. The carrot salad side was interesting but had too much vinegar. I finished off my lunch with a slice of strawberry cake. It looked so fresh in the case and wasn't even cut into so I got the first slice. Unfortunately, the slice was hard and dry for what should be a moist slice. The flavor and icing was good however, and I could taste the real strawberries used in the icing. The cafe is very cute but the dishes need improvement.

i went to cafe lapin all the time growing up. this was my first time back in a few years. we called for reservations and they were very accomodating. we came on a friday for lunch and it was packed so im glad we made reservations in advance. there was a little mixup with our order but we got it all sorted out in the end. i got the le lapin salad sampler with capered egg salad, apricot chicken salad, & curry chicken salad. i loved that they had this option on the menu it was perfect for me! it comes w a scoop of each on a bed of a mixed greens salad with side of balsamic dressing. everything about it was really good (even the mixed green salad) but the apricot chicken salad really stole the show - it was to die for! my family ordered potato soup, BLT, turkey apple brie sandwich, and turkey melt sandwich. the consensus was the BLT was a favorite as well as the oranges & beets side item. i NEED to try a slice of their delicious homemade cakes next time.

This French eatery is simply the best! My wife and I dined there the very first time on a cozy rainy Tuesday. Getting seated was fast and courteous. We were given a choice of seating as we had our two small children along. The menu was simple to read, but replete with delicious-sounding items. I chose the apricot salad, and my wife the ham & cheese panini along with soup of the day. Every item was scrumptious and served promptly. Our server was Mitch, who was a courteous and delightful human being. We will 100% return to this quaint, comfortable spot. Everything here, service included, is Top Notch Dr. Leigh & Family

My family and I came here to celebrate Bastille Day this past Saturday. The environment was a little uncomfortable. We had made a reservation, but it probably was unnecessary. I will say they did seat us at the nicest table in the restaurant - it had a large chandelier. The restaurant seemed understaffed, one waiter and one young woman to help bring out the food. The website said it was BYOB, so we brought our own prosecco. However, there was in fact a wine list as well as a bar. The food was so-so. I enjoyed my entree of the Croque Madame with fries. You could tell the fries were homemade. The sandwich also has a delicious bechamel sauce. I had ordered the quiche lorraine as an appetizer and found it to be dry and underwhelming. Some of my family noticed their food was a little cold when it first came out. Overall my experience was strange. I enjoyed my sandwich, but I'm not sure I'll be visiting again.

While visiting Atlanta, we thought we would experience some great meals. Unfortunately this place…read morewas a disappointment and a waste of our hard earned dollars. I have never been to a higher end French Restaurant that only offered three white wines by the glass. Pushing bottles perhaps? The only white that even sounded half way decent was a boring Chardonnay at $17 for a 4-5 ounce pour. Insanity. The room we were seated in was fine, drapery everywhere which I'm sure was used to create a cozy intimate atmosphere - but the result missed the mark. Our server was gracious and attentive to start, but then became a bit absent once more guests arrived. My husband started with the much touted onion soup. No French chef would incorporate such a mass of cheese and salt to this classic preparation. There was nothing epic or outstanding about it. (even after our server said something like "the NY Times said it was the best in the country.") Yeah, right. For the mains I went with the duck confit accompanied by potatoes sarladasies. The spuds, if correctly prepared, are supposed to be garlicky and crisp after being pan fried in duck or goose fat. Mine were limp and bland. I have no idea what was in their sauce verte - as it added nothing flavor wise, and sadly just soaked the potatoes. The duck was OK. Again, nothing memorable. My husband ordered the $34 burger after hearing the $70 plus price tag for the Dover Sole Meunière. Lunacy. I mean the beef patty was tasty, but nothing better than an old fashioned cook-out one grilled in your own backyard. The frites were just weird. We have been to France on several occasions and never encountered such a preparation. Would we ever go back? Nope.

One of my favorite things to always get at any French bistro is their croque monsieur. This one was light fluffy really delicious with a side salad. I just finished playing pickleball it was thirsty and the server filled my glass up every time it was empty probably about 10 times. Really great attitude too. I never think of this place for business lunches but I am in the future. Just a really relaxed at home casual kind of atmosphere. It's a standalone build and not part of the shopping centers. Upon walking in, it has an elevated feel with White table service. We visited on a Thursday for lunch and it was fairly busy and the service was a little slow. From a food perspective- around the table, we had a couple of seafood orders, a salad, and a couple of sandwiches. Admittedly, it was just ok. The fish dishes were very dry and the salads were overdressed. The sandwich options received better feedback from the group. For lunch - there are better options. If I was going for an occasion (and for dinner), I might give it another shot.

I visited with a friend who had been dying to try it, and we left very happy with our experience. Our server was fantastic and extremely helpful in navigating the menu and assisting my friend with a cocktail choice she really enjoyed. I opted for sparkling wine with a splash of St. Germain, and I loved that they brought the St. Germain on the side so I could customize the "splash" to my liking. It's those small details that make a difference. We shared a few different dishes and everything was executed well. My friend's chicken was incredibly moist and flavorful, and my Branzino was pretty good. Our accompanying sides were the whipped potatoes, broccoli, and the patatas bravas. Parking in West Midtown can be a headache, but there is valet right adjacent to the restaurant in the Cottonwood Westside apartment complex. There are other decks nearby if you prefer to park yourself, just be prepared for a bit of a walk. Overall, a wonderful dining experience with great service.

Little trick is that if you decide to use the valet in the little square area, they will validate your parking. However, since it is located in Buckhead Village parking can be a challenge at times, however very cheap at two dollars an hour. This is significantly cheaper to downtown Chicago or any other section of Chicago equivalent to Buckhead Village where it is over $14 an hour on the street parking. Anyhow, let me say that Pedro our server was fantastic. He is so full of personality and courtesy and super patient with us. I've read many reviews to talk about slow service and I have to say it is not slow service. It is simply them telling you that they are not rushing you through a meal that is to be enjoyed in an amazing ambience. And they let you move at your pace, which is fantastic. You can tell by the photos we ordered quite a bit of food and everything was absolutely delicious as there were no leftovers whatsoever My only complaint about the place is first the velvet chairs and benches make it very hard to scoot on in or get off Further, you have to pay for bread service here, which I do not believe in. Considering the prices, the bread, even if it was minimal bread and butter should be complementary. I will definitely be coming back here again, whether there be this location or their other locations in the south or even New York This is a must stop and worth every penny!

However ... five of us made a reservation, for 5:30, our plan was to eat a celebratory birthday dinner ( two birthdays) then catch the sunset on the roof. We should've known there would be issues from the drink order: A vodka tonic order yielded a vodka soda even after she confirmed he wanted tonic, not soda. The other drinks came out at different times. We ordered bread and our salads and entrees. Then the server brought out a plate of deviled eggs " a gift from the chef!" How nice. They were good, we appreciated it. Our entrees were OK: Short ribs were rich and meaty, redfish was good but a bit overcooked and dried out, pork was OK, mussels were good, but the bread wasn't grillled and was slathered with almost inedibly salty garlic butter. The salads were meh. We had wine and water and asked for our checks so we could make sunset. She brought back one check for two couples and a single. We asked if she could split it. She came back a few minutes later, after we sent the birthday folks to the roof for sunset, she said we could "just throw a card down" for the combined check. We reminded her that we wanted to split the check. She completely forgot. Several minutes later, we go our checks. Those deviled eggs that were supposed to be a "a gift from the chef?" They were on one of the checks. Thanks so much for the gift. Anyway, we quickly paid and made it upstairs before the sun was below the horizon. The roof is awesome. But Tiny Lou's is a one and done. Not worth the price. Not special. Would rather just eat at home post-sunset.
