Really enjoyed my time at Elise! A pretty penny but would recommend for an elevated date night before heading to the high museum or going to see a show at the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. The decor is elegant, minimal, and chic. I enjoyed the smoked oysters, clam and linguine, and the halibut. Everything I ordered I shared with a friend. They also do the simple things well. I enjoyed their bread service and their water menu. Cocktails were pretty good including color theory and the green curve with gin. Didn't have any issues with service, they were attentive but we did have to rush things along at the end so if you're in a rush - I'd keep that in mind.

Just went to Elise for the first time last night and it was fantastic. I'm not sure what those two negative reviews are talking about. First, the ambience was simple but elegant, red drapes over the window's and dark lighting gave the place an almost gothic mood. Second, the food was incredible, I wish I took more pictures. We started with a sourdough which had a wonderful finishing salt and a lightly whipped butter. Then we tried this mixed gazpacho with parmesan ice cream (I know it sounds strange), but it had such a unique flavor and felt so novel, a must try. Finally, I finished with the duck breast in the picture, which was one of the most delicious things I've had in a long time. The blackberry reduction it came in was absolutely incredible. This is fine dining, so do expect the cost to match, but for a special night give this place a try!

Went to Elise after getting engaged and loved it! We had the bread and cornbread, gazpacho, risotto, and dunk breast. They were all tasty but the duck was the star. Would definitely recommend!

The service was amazing, especially María, who truly went above and beyond. She was incredibly kind and made us feel at home the entire time. It felt like no matter what we needed, she was genuinely happy to help, and that's something you really appreciate when dining out. The restaurant itself is beautiful and has a great atmosphere, especially at night. It's perfect for celebrating a birthday or going with a group because they have a QR code system where everyone can pay for their own items. No splitting checks, no awkward math, just super easy and convenient, especially for larger parties. Food wise, everything we ordered was delicious. I shared a charcuterie board with three friends and it was really good. We also ordered the tuna carpaccio, which was amazing and came with natural potato chips that were honestly a 10 out of 10. We ordered a pizza as well, I don't remember the name but it had mushrooms and it was so good. For drinks, my go to cocktail is an espresso martini and even though it wasn't on the menu, they were able to make it for me. It was perfect, with a strong coffee flavor, which I personally love in an espresso martini. Overall, Ecco Midtown was an incredible experience. Amazing food, amazing service, and a great atmosphere. If you're looking for a great place to celebrate with friends and enjoy good food and cocktails, this is definitely a great option.

I also had the goulash which was good but honestly I prefer the crappy American version with the noodles lol. We arrived 15 minutes before our reservation, but were told our table was already ready, so we were seated. (The restaurant tables are very close together, so be aware that if anyone in your party is wheelchair bound, it may be difficult for them to maneuver around.) The restaurant is kept very warm inside, and I'm usually someone who feels cold easily, but even I was rather hot. A woman brought water glasses and a water carafe to our table and said, "If you want something besides water, just let me know," and then walked off. So, in my mind, that woman was a food assistant or a food runner. Turned out, she was our waitress! She later stopped by, didn't introduce herself and didn't ask if we'd ever been there before, but did ask if we wanted an appetizer. We ordered Potato Pancakes. She also asked if we wanted bread service, so we said yes. We did notice from other conversations at the very close tables near ours, that many of the customers are regulars and have their favorite waitstaff. The manager had stopped by a table to regrettably inform a couple that their favorite waiter was out for 2 weeks. So, that did give us hope that if they have regulars, it must be good. The Potato Pancakes were delicious! (I didn't even stop to snap a picture because we were very hungry!) My husband ordered the "Bier" + Cheese Burger ($16.95), and I ordered the Pork Shank "Schwweinehaxe" ($34). The waitress said she had to check the availability of the Pork Shank, so I told her that if it wasn't available, to put in Chicken Wienerschnitzel. Then she didn't come back to let us know what the kitchen said. My husband flagged her down to find out if the pork shank was available, and she said she'd forgotten to come back, but that it was. He also told her that it was my birthday, so she brought out a cute birthday tea light for the table. The food was absolutely delicious, and for the price point, you can easily see why people are regulars there! The pork shank was enormous! (We ate off of it 2 more times after we took it home. The restaurant gave us extra gravy at no charge, too.) The rosemary mashed potatoes were very good! The presentation was lovely! My husband really enjoyed his burger. Then for dessert, our waitress brought out a slice of tiramisu with a wedge of chocolate cake over it, berries, whipped cream, and a little birthday candle in it. Turned out really wonderful! Will definitely go back to this unique spot!

I visited with a friend who had been dying to try it, and we left very happy with our experience. Our server was fantastic and extremely helpful in navigating the menu and assisting my friend with a cocktail choice she really enjoyed. I opted for sparkling wine with a splash of St. Germain, and I loved that they brought the St. Germain on the side so I could customize the "splash" to my liking. It's those small details that make a difference. We shared a few different dishes and everything was executed well. My friend's chicken was incredibly moist and flavorful, and my Branzino was pretty good. Our accompanying sides were the whipped potatoes, broccoli, and the patatas bravas. Parking in West Midtown can be a headache, but there is valet right adjacent to the restaurant in the Cottonwood Westside apartment complex. There are other decks nearby if you prefer to park yourself, just be prepared for a bit of a walk. Overall, a wonderful dining experience with great service.

Yum Yum Yum! I mean what more can I say?! I was very impressed with my experience here. From…read morethe food to the service, everything was amazing. The bartenders were very attentive; even with the busyness of the bar because of happy hour. I didn't order any food items from the HH menu but I did order a cocktail which was the limoncello spritz. It was good. A little tart for my palette. I tend to venture more on the sweet side but decided to order the spritz since it's springtime. The star of my visit was the Caesar salad which they call the grilled gems. There's 3 whole wedges of lettuce, grilled and drizzled with Caesar dressing and a hemp of Parmesan cheese. And they did not skimp on the cheese. And honestly that's how you're a Caesar salad is supposed to be. I would've LOVED to have croutons or maybe almonds just for the crunch but it was still good. I'd definitely come back just for that. I didn't order a full on entree but I did get dessert. The Crème Fraiche gelato to be exact. The olive oil drizzle sold me. While I don't think this is gelato, it was still good. To me, the texture gave regular vanilla ice cream. The olive oil gelato at Iberian pig is still number one in my book. I definitely want to try their garden menu which is exclusive to the patio area and the bread pudding. I hear it doesn't have raisins.

We were a party of 5 adults and six kids ranging from 1 to 10. First they put a drink very close to my 1 year old and spilled it and took a while to clean it up. I had to move my toddler away so she wouldn't touch the spilled alcohol. Our kids were excitedly talking as kids do, but at one point, some patron patronizingly stuck her face among our kids and shushed them very loudly and they got a bit scared. I said to her that if she thought our kids were loud, she could tell us and we would quiet them down. She got in my face like three inches away and started rambling about how she was a teacher and it didn't seem like we knew how to control our kids. She was clearly not sober and getting belligerent. I repeatedly told her to go back to her seat and don't try to discipline our kids again. She finally took her seat but I have never experienced anything like that at what's supposedly to be a nice restaurant. Service was also slow and the restaurant was half empty. The kids' food came out first and my son's pasta was barely cooked and very hard. And then they also forgot one of the meals; so, one of the kids just sat there for 30 mins without any food; waiting. Her food eventually came out after we asked our server multiple times to get her food. Our apps came out and we finished them and were just waiting on our entrees and we just kept on waiting. I had to change my 1 year old and there was no changing area for her and asked the manager if there was somewhere to change her. He first pointed to a very small and wobbly table, and I said no bc it didn't look safe to change her there. He did go in the back and bring out a push cart that I was able to change her on. I asked him if they weren't very kid friendly. Response was we don't get a lot of kids, but we try to cater to all ages. I told him about the episode with the belligerent patron and he said sorry that happened. We got back to our table and our entrees (burgers, which are the fastest things to make) still hadn't arrived even though we ordered an hour ago. We asked our servers and her response was that she had to clear our app plates before she can bring our entrees. Our app plates had long been empty and just sitting there. We told her to clear the table and get our entrees out. At that point, she told us that she had to put in our order. We waited a bit more and the kids were all done with their food for a while and started to get restless. I asked the server to get our burgers to go and her response was I didn't know you were in a rush. I didn't know expecting to get your entrees over an hour after you order means you're in a rush. The manager did come over and say to me that he hopes that we would return even though it wasn't the best experience and handed our burgers to go. They did take off the spilled drink and the delayed kid meal. Some of the burgers were dry and one of them severely undercooked. Suffice to say, I won't g back.

We split the rigatoni alla vodka, fettucine ai funghi, and tagliatelle bolognese. All were perfection. I loved the creaminess of the alla vodka, which had a kick of spice from the chili oil. I loved the herbiness and freshness of both the ai funghi with its sage and the bolognese with its rosemary. The tiramisu was the only dish that was just ok. We did arrive here a bit early for our reservation but were seated right next to the open kitchen, so it felt quite crowded and cramped. It's a very, very small restaurant and it was freezing where we sat because we were under the vents. Our server, Mary Catherine, was a treat and she took good care of us. She took our drink orders, though I didn't drink tonight. For appetizers, we started with the calamari and stuffed clams. They also offered complementary bread and olive oil basket that was served warm, yum! Our food orders came out pretty fast actually. The calamari was not your typical fried calamari - it was delicious and loved the mix of raw onions in it for that fresh bite. I'm not a fan of clams so I didn't try this, but heard it was just breading and can't really taste the clam taste. For my entree, I ordered the spaghetti pomodoro with meatballs. I had been dreaming about this since making the reservations and it did not disappoint. The pasta was cooked al dente and the sauce was wonderful. I did think the meatballs were a tad too salty for my taste and I'm glad I opted out of the freshly grated parm because I feel like that would have made everything saltier. After our meal, they brought out free dessert for the birthday celebrants. Nothing but raves were said after our dinner here and we're definitely looking forward to coming back here again.
