If you are looking for good ambiance and delicious italian food, check out Cafe Luna. It is tucked in a corner of a strip mall in Carmel Mountain. Reservations are recommended. We did not have reservations but they were able to accomodate us and was seated right away. The staff was friendly. They offer a good selection on their menu and also a daily special. Same with the wine, there was quite a number of selection on their wine list. I went with their Malbec wine and it was a good choice. For dinner, we had Salad, Cioppino and Bolognese w/ Gluten Free pasta that I requested to switch out the regular pasta. Their foods were flavorful and delicious. Quantity was enough to make us full so no there was room for dessert. This restaurant is a good place to go to celebrate a special occassion or a nice dinner.

I don't know why it took me so long to finally eat here. It's amazing! This restaurant has been here for a really long time & I can see why. The indoor & outdoor seating was so cute. Our server was really nice & made sure to bring plates out in good timing. We tend to order a lot & our table gets crowded with plates, but she made sure that didn't happen. She recommended a champagne bottle (I forgot what it's called) but it was not too sweet which we liked. Luna Antipasta: This was a good size charcuterie board for 2 people. You can never go wrong with a charcuterie board! Caprese: The caprese was fresh & gave a good balance with the other items we ordered. Arugula is my favorite type of green & went so well with the cherry tomatoes & burrata Tournadoes Gorgonzola: I love how this was portioned out. Often times I want pasta & steak, but always get too full to finish or even enjoy the other plates. I enjoyed this dish a lot. Cioppino: My husband absolutely loves cioppino, & he really liked their's. It was flavorful & had a good portion of seafood in it. Organic Sweet Potato Gnocchi: This was probably my favorite dish. So simple, but packed with flavor! I could probably eat 4-5 plates of these alone. Next time I come, I'm definitely ordering this again. My husband & I had a total food coma after. Everything was good & I can't wait to return to try other dishes.

Becky was more than kind throughout our stay, she was quite knowledgeable on the menu and gave solid recommendations. The restaurant itself was nice and had an upscale vibe to it, wine bistro feel if you will. We started with a salad of mixed greens with poached pear and a balsamic vinaigrette dressing, delicious! My entree was quite delicious. The veal was lightly breaded, tender and moist. The sauce and cheese ratio was perfectly balanced, a lovely dish! Hubs loved his veal with a Marsala sauce and mushrooms but said he preferred mine. All in all it was a hit, we can't wait to go back! Kudos to Becky for her recommendations and service!

We came here for dinner on a Friday evening. It was our first time here and glad we made reservations because this place was busy. We were seated outside since the weather was nice. We enjoyed their patio seating - cozy and comfortable setting. I like that it was fenced in so you are not distracted by the outside. Good menu selection. We got the lasagna and Chicken Marsala with the Fusilli Umbriano. Both were good and the portion size was perfect for us. We came kinda hungry so this was enough. I got the gluten free version of the fusilli and thought the pasta was tasty but a bit much on the al dente side. I do like that this place is willing to make most of their dishes gluten free upon request. Anyway, overall the food was good. Slightly above average. Service was very good. Our server was friendly and very helpful in making suggestions. This place is located in a strip mall so parking was easy. Would like to return and try other d

We spent Christmas Eve at Cafe Lunar, and it was the highlight of our holiday season. From the moment we walked in, the festive decor and warm lighting set the perfect mood. The food was 10/10, the atmosphere was magical, and the staffs went above and beyond to make our night special. If you want a memorable holiday meal, this is the place to be.

I have turned all my friend's onto it & I am so thankful to have such nice & kind people running this winery. They have always been so generous with their pours & they have always figured out a way for me to get my hands on my favorite wine. I also visit this winery when my family participates as a vendor during their craft/vendor fairs a couple times a year. I bring my daughter with me & sometimes a friend of hers & we always have a really great time. I have been here several times, well, more than several times. Though I am not a member, I sure feel treated like I am a member. I have attended & held fundraisers here & I have been here for live music or just a quiet place to have girlfriend talk. I love that there are different things happening different days, but it isn't overwhelming like other wineries that get so incredibly busy that they lose their charm completely. I appreciate Koi Zen for the zen it brings me. I would 10/10 recommend if you are looking for a place to enjoy wine with friends and/or family. Looking forward to my next visit, even though I just walked out with 3 bottles of my favorite wine tonight! Lisa & Darius & their staff are all great & deserve all the kudos. The staff was very warm and welcoming, though throughout the evening it definitely felt like they may have been short staffed and stretched a bit thin. Since we were headed to a movie after dinner, we decided to keep things light and share appetizers plus dessert. We tried the Fried Shishito Peppers, Veggie Potstickers, Grilled Broccolini, Rosemary Garlic Fries, Whipped Burrata, Garlic Noodles, Salmon Poke Tacos, and Lamb Chops. Overall, the food was decent but nothing especially memorable. The lamb chops were cooked nicely but could have used more seasoning, and the poke tacos were tasty but tiny -- literally about the size of my pinky for each taco. We were disappointed they had sold out of both the Crème Brûlée Bread Pudding and the Budino, which were the desserts we originally wanted to try. Thankfully, the Butter Toffee Cake completely saved dessert for us -- absolutely delicious and easily the highlight of the meal. Overall, a cute spot with good vibes for a girls night, but the food itself didn't quite live up to the hype for us.

Our server recommended a special habanero roll, and my friend ordered the Hawaii rolls--both were excellent. Another friend ordered a burger and really enjoyed it as well, so the kitchen is definitely doing something right. Where things fell short was the service. Our server started off great--friendly and with a good vibe--but as the evening went on, things slowed down noticeably. The host was not very attentive; we had to ask multiple times for items, and drinks were delayed until our server eventually followed up. It felt like no one else was stepping in to help. There were also a few mix-ups. We ordered crème brûlée and cheesecake, but were mistakenly given bread pudding that belonged to another table. It took about 20 minutes for the server to return and let us know about the error. While it wasn't added to our bill, there wasn't much effort made to make up for the inconvenience. I also ordered another glass of wine that never arrived--though, to be fair, I wasn't charged for it. Toward the end of the night, service became even more inconsistent. We were ready to pay, but the server disappeared for a while, and when he finally took our card, he seemed distracted and took extra time chatting with another table. Overall, it's a nice spot--especially for a summer dinner--and the food is definitely worth trying. However, the service needs improvement before I'd consider coming back.

Our first visit in January we ordered the Lamb Chops which were amazing and cooked medium rare as is proper for Lamb Chops. The Salmon was cooked perfectly. Not over cooked. Skin was crispy. For appetizers, the lobster bisque was sultry and the grilled shrimp prawns can with two huge prawns with roasted vegetables. The pork chop was cooked perfectly and not dry at all. It is easy for restaurants to make thick cut pork chop dry. Not at Avant! We also ordered the Beef Wellington (a special that was not on the menu). We didn't realize the Beef Wellington was sized for two people, hence the huge up charge. Beef Wellington was cooked medium rare which how its supposed to be prepared! The crust was more like a pipe crust than puff pastry. The pate is mushroom with swiss chard. I need to address another Yelp User's review of this restaurant complaining about the Beef Wellington: 1) If you dont like your beef medium rare, DO NOT order the Beef Wellington. Ask Chef Gordon Ramsey! Medium is considered over cooked in a Beef Wellington. The meat gets dry and tough. 2) The Beef Wellington is a special (typically on the weekend) with limited quantities and is not on the menu all the time. I heard the restaurant manager let other tables know the limited quantities and he needed to know ASAP if a diner was considering the Beef Wellington. 3) Please also note that Beef Wellington takes to 30 to 40 minutes because there is a 15 to 20 minute rest time. So be sure to order appetizers also to tie you over! The service here is fantastic! Blaine was great! The atmosphere is nice in dark woods. Just the right lighting.
