Thai Peanut Cauliflower & Pinot noir (we were twins!)

This is a go-to spot for me, I've never had a bad dish. They used to carry Dante Merlot wine, which I liked; but whatever Theresa recommended was a good alternative. She is the sweetest waitress ever, and takes great care of us every time. I like that they have outdoor seating when it's nice out and I've had groups of up to 10 here without issue. Everything is vegetarian so this is not for a strictly meat & potatoes guy- but if people are a little adventurous, all of the food is delicious.

SPINACH ARTICHOKE GRILLED CHEESE with garlic brussels sprouts

Cafe Manna is our go to vegetarian restaurant and is quickly becoming one of the only vegetarian restaurants in the area. They always have a great variety of dishes including some monthly specials and an everyday menu with some of my favs. I tried the Spinach Artichoke grilled cheese this time and it was awesome. Lots of flavor with fresh ingredients and a nice addition of roasted asparagus. Love the combination of provolone, mozzarella, parmesan and cream cheese. And grilled perfectly on Rocket Baby Bakery bread. It was still nice out so we were able to sit outside on the patio which I never realized they had. Bonus. I also like the fact that they have a nice selection of craft beers and wine. We finished our meal with the GINGER PLUM CAKE and OMG it was to die for.

Omg this place is amazing! I wanted everything on the menu, so I did what I always do and just got something off the "seasonal specials" - the Orecchiette Pasta was pan roasted zucchini, sweet corn, cipollini onions and fresh arugula are combined with orecchiette pasta and tossed in a parmesan truffle cream sauce, finished with tomato confit and micro greens. It was so good. It was way too much food, but I was able to take it to go, and it made for wonderful leftovers when I was hungry again later. I also ended up getting lemonade and tea, because all the options were too good to pass up on. Our server was phenomenal and even took a photo of the three of us because it was a little reunion of ladies I haven't seen in a long time. I absolutely would love to come back and try everything on their menu, including that dessert menu.

The restaurant is very clean, it wasn't too loud, the service was great, and the food was fantastic! Simple seasoning of food is often overlooked and instead chefs focus on the latest trends. Cafe Manna offers delicious food without being pretentious. I had lunch here and I will certainly return!

Crab Cakes, Guacamole Potato Skins, and extra sauces

I was only in town for a couple of week and was excited to find this vegan gem. Crab Cakes - served with a garlic aoili were very good. I got extra aioli because I'm saucy and I always do. Would order again. Potato Skins - these are basically little guacamole boats and I loved them! I never ate cheese and haven't had pork since I was a wee thing, so I've never had a "classic" potato skin, so their version was perfect for me. Served with a sriracha aioli for added flavor. I do feel like it's missing something, but I don't know what it is. (It also comes with a pico de gallo, which I omitted) Cherry Rhubarb Crisp - served warm with a vegan gelato. The fruit was so fresh, as if had just been picked before it reached my bowl. That vanilla bean gelato was so creamy and sweet; it was exemplary. Fresh food. Exciting flavors and creative plates. Service was great, especially with just one server working her tushy off. There is a lovely outdoor patio, which was perfect during the late summer weather. I would 100% recommend and will return when in the area again.

Came by for lunch. Service was great, ambiance pleasant and the food was STELLAR. Having had experienced Michelin rated establishments, I can honestly say that this place is deserving. Menu options are creative and every item we ordered made an impression. Can't wait for our next visit.

I searched on Yelp and came across Parkside 23. It sounded perfect. When we pulled into the parking lot, it was very crowded. I called in to the restaurant to make sure they'd have room for us, and was told that yes, they had just had a cancellation for a table for two, so come on in. We did, and we were seated almost immediately. From the minute we walked in the restaurant, everything was perfect. Hostess Heidi was lovely, our server Sara was amazing, and the food was incredible. My friend had the meatloaf, and crème brûlée for dessert. She said both were great. She's not a drinker, but did have a couple Shirley Temples, which were perfect. I have the pretzel crusted veal with spaetzel. I asked for them to hold the asparagus, which is usually cut up in the spaetzel along with mushrooms and onions, and they did it perfectly. The veal was especially amazing, and the spaetzel was very good, too. I tried the Mr Manhattan, and had another one as my dessert. I'm always delighted when my usual craft cocktail is one of their classics on the menu. It was well-made, if a bit small for the price point. We've already decided that this will be our go-to place for lunch whenever I travel up from Chicago to visit my friend. I'm also making plans to bring my husband up there sometime, because I think he will love it, too. A great find!

And all of them raved about it. And now I understand why. The atmosphere is fantastic in the main dining room, which is where we were seated. It wasn't overly loud. The cream corn appetizer was out of this world. I didn't know cream corn could be so amazing. Service was wonderful. As was the brownie they brought me for my birthday with candles. Top-notch service amazing food. We will definitely be back again. And I can't wait. Thank you to Parkside 23 for making my birthday dinner Wonderful.

Our server, Adam, was quick and attentive. He was funny, suggested items for us to try, and was very tentative of our friend's food allergy. We started the night with a few drinks; #39 non-alcoholic Paloma, #129 non-alcoholic sbagiato, and #33 Sherry Pear-Y. All of which were absolutely amazing! Then we ordered the Chili Crisp Deviled Eggs (comes with two pieces), Crispy Thai-Style Oyster Mushrooms, Cappelletti, Slow-braised Bison Cheek, Cha Ca La Vong (Catfish), and the Wood-fired Bavette Steak. Where do I begin? First off, everything was fantastic! Delicious, creative, and memorable. Some dishes even had us ordering seconds! First the Chili Crisp Deviled Eggs: so creamy! We ended up ordering another plate of them (four orders) because one wasn't enough for the four of us. The Crispy Thai-Style Oyster Mushroom: insanely seasoned! It was crispy and the kick of the Thai chili peppers, made it our tables favorite (we ordered another plate of this)! The bits of crunch rice mixed in was also a pleasant surprise. The bits of green beans and cucumber was a nice way to cool the kick of the spices. The Slow-braised Bison Cheek: It was very interesting. Very soft and when paired with the polenta cake, mozzarella, and carrot, it tasted amazing. Cha Ca La Vong (Catfish): Also very interesting. It tastes very similar to a Vietnamese catfish soup! The pineapple fish sauce paired amazing with the glass noodles. The only complaint I have about this dish, was that the glass noodles weren't fully cooked, so they were a bit hard. The Wood-fired Bavette Steak: My god, this was amazing! It was perfectly cooked, the dark chocolate bordelaise paired with the mushrooms and steak was incredible. Like I said, everything was amazing! Our table was blown away with the creativity and quality of the food. The service was amazing, everyone was very sweet and helpful. The atmosphere was lovely and quirky. It was fun spotting all the duck decorations. Honestly, cannot rave enough about this place, I look forward to the next time I visit!

The roasted veggies were tender, and the thai basil pesto had a bit of spice to it, which paired wonderfully with the subtle sweetness of the curry. The portion size was perfect, satisfying me but not leaving me full. I also tried the Ginger Tepache, which was extremely refreshing and delicious. The Superbad is perfect for anyone looking for a little spice to their burger, and yet isn't too powerful. My friend ordered the Mozz Sticks, and we admittedly were pleasantly surprised by how delicious they were.
