    Frita cubano, everything breakfast
    Caitlyn S.

This place has the best coffee I have ever had. You have to order the cafe con leche because it's amazing. We got the everything breakfast which had the perfect amount of cream cheese and perfectly cooked bacon. We also got the frita cubano and warning: it's pretty spicy!

This is a small place on the edge of Soulard with friendly staff, reasonably priced drinks, really good sandwiches, and amazing tater tots. The bacon, egg, and cheese on a brioche had a a good amount of bacon - usually places skimp on the bacon. I've also had that on an English muffin and it's also good. It took me about 15 minutes to get our two sandwiches and order of tots. I wasn't in any hurry so I just enjoyed my drink. There were a couple of orders ahead of mine, but I could tell that they made each order when ordered. Nothing reheated. I'll add this to my list of brunch places to frequent.

This place is small, but cozy, and the staff welcomed us with smiles. Girl, that bacon egg and cheese bagel was so damn good. Salty, hot, crisp. Everything I want for a breakfast sandwich. The warm cream cheese took me a second, but it was too good to care. I wanna come back and try the coffee!

Such a cute little gem! We just needed a quick bite and caffeine before hitting the road--and this place delivered. The food was tasty, the coffee was strong (bless), and the service was warm and welcoming. Honestly, it felt like a hug in café form. Will definitely stop again when we're in town!

I love that this shop exists in STL. I went to college in Miami and this is a real mix of Cuban and Colombian style breakfast that I experienced. The prices are very reasonable and the Guava Pastelito was AMAZING

Cafe Miami is a delight! It definitely has a nice, bright vibe to it and I'm definitely kicking myself for not stopping in sooner. I wasn't planning on eating since I had just had lunch, but definitely plan on doing so next time. I was greeted by an employee at the counter, he was warm and welcoming and gave me a little history about the spot. He also offered me key lime pie samples while I waited for my coffee. It was SO good and tasted so fresh with the lime taste. I keep thinking about it! My coffee was great- I highly recommend! Looking forward to stopping in again!

So, based on the reviews, I was expecting a tad bit more flavor. Got myself a Bloody Mary which was okay. No accoutrements at all though... I ordered the Ropa Vieja and it was good, but not great. The tater tots had the most flavor (probably the oil...). It's a pretty small place and they served everything in bags, as if they're wanting you to take it to go. I saw an old Riverfront Times article on their wall where they were listed as one of the 5 best breakfast places in St. Louis, and I just don't get it. IMO, good, but not great. Glad I tried it though.

We wanted a more savory breakfast option and Cafe Miami provided it! (Thanks Yelp) Street parking is available for a limited period and we were able to park in front of the restaurant. The interior provides some seating and a couple of tables are on the patio. Very friendly crew upon entering and exiting. Menu options clearly stated on the board. We picked up an everything bagel with cream cheese and a couple of breakfast sandwiches. Plenty of drink options and we appreciated the jug of water to help yourself. Relaxing, casual space for our family and the boys enjoyed a game of checkers. So happy we found this place! Lunch menu also available.

Very small Hispanic sandwich shop in Soulard. Only open for breakfast or lunch. Many sandwiches from which to choose, all with a Cuban, Caribbean flavor. Prices are reasonable and they do offer a cocktails menu. Wasn't expecting frills, but also wasn't expecting my lunch order to be brought out in a paper sack. Friendly service. Food not disappointing.

    BLT Hurricane and Mojito

Great little place in Soulard! Stopped quickly for a bite and a drink while house shopping before the 4th of July festivities begin this evening. We shared the BLT, I had a Hurricane and my wife had a Mojito. The BLT was Devine!!!!!!! Absolutely delicious! The drinks were a 7/10. We will be back!

Songbird - Combo Breakfast Sandwich with bacon, egg & cheese on toasted sourdough.

Songbird is the Dolly Parton of St. Louis breakfast: bigger stage, brighter lights, same voice…read more I've followed this operation since it was a sandwich pop-up at the Tower Grove Farmers' Market, through the brick-and-mortar in The Grove, and now into its larger home in Tower Grove South. The quality has not wavered once. I ordered what I always order: The Combo (fried eggs, maplewood smoked bacon, cheese, brioche toast), extra egg, extra bacon. Most kitchens treat a fried egg as binary (runny or ruined). Songbird has mastered the middle register: lacy edges with a yolk that stays glossy and intact right up until the first bite. I ordered them over hard, and they came out a bit closer to over medium, but they were just as good as I wanted them to be. The bacon carries real smoke. This is a decadent sandwich, big enough that half of it would make a light breakfast; I wasn't remotely hungry after one, the second half was indulgent. The service made the move too. The hostess still recognizes returning customers, and the bigger room finally lets the dining experience breathe. The service at the table could have been a little warmer as we've had it the past, but it is still professional. I was there with two close college buddies, one of whom declared his latte excellent. I keep meaning to get adventurous with the menu, but it is genuinely hard to find a bacon, egg, and cheese toasted this perfectly, and I'd go twice in one day if given the opportunity. 4.8 A full five arrives the day when I can arrive first thing on a Saturday without a 30 minute wait, honestly, it's hard to get a reservation here because of its popularity. Good for them. Cheers to you, Songbird. Dolly would be proud

*Not accessible *Not kid friendly…read more This location has a lot of improvements to be made. The menu is bland and they deter you from making modifications. I wanted my toast's jam to be on the side and they said no. It was a thick tasteless brick without the jam. The items are not as traditional for a breakfast spot, and when I asked the server what they were known for she said the drinks.... They also run a tight turnaround time so they will make you feel uncomfortable when its time to clear your table and pay the bill because they will tell you the next reservation is in 5minutes. The plates were all different and my guest who got a sandwich had her food come out in a plastic fry basket instead of the nicer plates. Odd. As I mentioned earlier, they are not kid friendly as they don't have a kids menu or kid friendly items like fruit and pancakes. We ordered a side of avocado and chicken sausage as those were the safest for us. Also there are no changing tables in the restrooms. Accessibility note: the entrance is a giant multi-slope and 1 turn ramp into a cramped lobby. The men's restroom is the only one on the main floor and female restroom is tucked far in the backroom inaccessible due to a steep step in the back. It is not wheelchair or walker friendly.

We tried to come on a Saturday after visiting the Gateway Arch, heartbroken that they were CLOSED! No sign on the door, so we had to figure out a backup option. On Sunday, we tried again and because there was no number listed online, we took a chance and thank goodness they were open! It's a small diner with patio situation and we were informed there would be a wait which was fine with us. We were quickly sat at the (covered) patio on a gorgeous sunny day and enjoyed the views of people walking to see a game at Busch Stadium. Kelly was a wonderful server! Both the Bloody Mary and the Espresso Martini were excellent! The deviled eggs were a delicious appetizer. Hands down though, that biscuit breakfast sandwich was what breakfast dreams are made of! Kelly recommended the sausage which was rich and flavorful. The over-medium egg was perfection! Potatoes were well seasoned and mouthwatering. I'm going to be thinking of Fleur STL for many years to come and hope to visit again someday!

We were pleasantly surprised they weren't super busy, selfishly it was nice, but I hope it's not always like that because they deserve the hype. We sat at the bar and had great service the whole time. We started with a house made Bloody Mary (it had fantastic flavor) and an espresso martini (should we say the best in the city???). A piece of candied bacon came on the Bloody Mary and I'm still thinking about it. Then the food. I got a cheeseburger and fries and it was freaking fantastic. So juicy and tender, tons of flavor, one of the top burgers in St. Louis in my opinion. My husband got a special which was a braised beef Benedict and he was VERY happy. He likes a good burger and still said his meal was the best. They plate everything so beautifully, this is like a high class culinary experience in a (clean diner) with great prices. And the small menu is very preferred because it doesn't take you an hour to decide. And the fries - so fresh and crispy. This place deserves all the love. I was so impressed with it, it doesn't look like much from the outside but it is so worth it.

The Fleur-de-Lys is the epitome of a luxurious getaway. Whether it is the quaintly appointed guest…read morerooms or the delightful library and parlor, each area of this former residence is unique and meticulously maintained. While it is not likely the norm, the owners, Mark & Leslie, met us at the front door, quite literally inviting us into their establishment. It was simply the most welcoming manner in which to be introduced to this treasure and Leslie quickly engaged us with the history of the home and how she and Mark had recently become the owners. We chose this destination based upon the significance of the Fleur-de-lis to my love, a native New Orleanian. Given St. Louis' rich French heritage, the mansion was originally outfitted with four chimneys that feature the fleur-de-lis design and the pattern is repeated throughout the home. While we enjoyed a quiet morning coffee in the back of the property, a lovely shaded patio area, she noticed how many places the symbol was present. She actually made mention to Mark & Leslie that they could make an activity out of counting/finding all of the fleur-de-lis around the home. What a fun idea! We were fortunate enough to book the Tower Grove Park room, a spacious room fitted with a king-size bed and a two-person jacuzzi tub. There is even a 'fainting couch' for that extra French touch! The bed was amazingly comfortable and the decor and accoutrements were exceptional, right down to the pocket doors and writing desk. But a B&B is set apart by the fare served in the morning, and this is where Mark, a chef by trade, and Leslie, a self-taught baker, knock it out of the park. That morning's menu included a fruit starter, fresh juice, Leslie's home-baked sourdough toast and home-baked English muffins, and Mark's egg and sausage soufflés with country potatoes. The entire breakfast had us completely over the moon! We felt so at home that we wanted to clear our own place - so we did! The rates are competitive and well worth every moment spent here. There is parking behind the property, as well as across from the property, and each guest is allowed a unique security code so as to gain entry while you are enjoying your stay. I can't say enough about how much we enjoyed this getaway, and Mark, Leslie, & assistant Sammy made us feel like family from the moment we crossed the threshold. We'll be back - and you should give Fleur-de-Lys a try!
