Really Instagram worthy café. I love all the décor and the employees were super sweet! We originally wanted ice-cream from Bonchon since we went there to pick up dinner but their ice-cream machine was broken so we came here instead. A few of the ice cream flavors can be hit or miss which i understand since it's made in house and the business is still fairly new. I wasn't really a fan of the cookie dough Ice cream. The vanilla ice cream didn't taste like anything and was slightly freezer burned. There weren't much chunks of chocolate in the cookie dough either so that combined with the flavorless base of the ice cream, it was kinda bad and i ended up just tossing it. This review is strictly for their service. 3 out of the 4 times I have gone here, they have gotten my order wrong or they gave it to the wrong customer so I had to wait longer. It's one thing if the taste of a drink isn't what I expected but if I paid extra to get a certain topping or ask for no ice, etc, it should not be this difficult. A new bubble tea/ice cream place just popped up in the Woodbridge area. It is literally in the shopping center across from the mall. There are a wide variety of milk teas, fruit teas, ice cream flavors (including durian!), and toppings to choose from! Coffee drinks are coming in the near future. I've tried a few items from the menu and enjoyed them very much. Everything was perfectly hand-crafted and very tasty. They do have great Covid pre-cautions in place and currently have a limit on dine-ins. Orders can be placed on their website in advanced for pick up. The coffee in the Coffee Milk Tea was great! There was no need for any additives such as cream or sugar, and most importantly, it wasn't bitter. I've been to quite a few boba shops, and this is one of the few that don't offer you a choice for sweetness or ice levels, but I did enjoy both levels for my drink. I was a bit bummed that there was no design on the cups like on the ones advertised in the photos. While the coffee was great, I'm lowering my rating because the boba in my drink was overcooked, and a lot of the boba pieces were stuck together, which made the drink difficult to sip. I got the passionate dragon green tea with no ice since I planned to drink it the next day and didn't want it to get watered down by the ice. My drink ended up having ice in it which was disappointing but since I went 30 minutes before closing, I can understand that the workers were probably eager to close for the night and go home. I ended up discarding the ice at home so the flavor wasn't affected overnight. The flavor of the drink was pretty good, not overly sweet and a nice balance between the taste of the fruit and the green tea. The drink was also made fairly quickly but they weren't too busy when I was there. The interior was decorated very prettily and there were a good amount of tables and seats available. 4 stars only because my drink came with ice even though "No Ice" was clearly written on my order. Went here with my girlfriend in the afternoon. The staff was friendly and inviting, giving samples of the ice cream--they have a lot of flavors. I got the Almond Milk Tea and my girlfriend got the Honey Oolong, we also tried the Viet Coffee + Early Gray coffee scoops! The ice cream is quite decadent. Almond milk tea was quite sweet with the honey boba added in, but you can ask for sweetness adjustment if needed! I love this place and I'm glad they're in Woodbridge. I love their honey boba and my kids love their mango frappe with popping bubbles. I love them but we won't be going back UNTIL they decide to get a cash box and accept cash. My kids have various lessons in that plaza and we're there 4 days a week. We've been to Cafe Miki maybe 10+ times(?). I would have been there more but with the weather going from needing my winter coat to just a light jacket, there have been times when I've parked in front of cafe miki and realized that I left my credit card in the other jacket. Each time, I had cash...and I'l paid exact cash 2 or 3 times...but on other days..i only have $20s...sorry, but I want my change back. Im not willing to pay $20 for 1 or 2 drinks. So instead of being there 20ish times, I've been there about 10 times. They use a credit card reader for payment...but even then, customers are touching it. We insert our cards and we touch the screen to indicate tip/no tip...How is that stopping the spread of Covid?? Also, if they were so strict about their no cash policy in order to minimize the spread of covid, they shouldn't even be accepting exact cash or doing this you-can-pay-in-cash-but-we -won't-give-you-back -your-change, thing that they are currently doing... sorry, thats lame. Other businesses (like their competitor Kung Fu Tea) accept all forms of payment and Cafe Miki should do the same. Although this is a more convenient place than Kung Fu Tea in the mall for me to get our boba fix, I refuse to step back in until they decide to get a cash box. Cafe Miki, I also want to point out that you're in an ideal place to bring in more business because there's the pull from kids ((eith cash)) from Kumon, Americas Best Tae Kwon Do, Music &Arts, and Swim Kids...as well as from families who finish dinner at Sakura, Bon Chon, pho, and several other restaurants, who want to get boba/ice cream afterwards...you should make yourselfknown. Finally a decent boba place in woodbridge. Kokee didn't cut it. The review is based on the options and quality of my product. I had requested the owner make me a coconut/taro slush that was not on the menu. They were hesitant but nonetheless made me the drink. It was smooth and delicious. They let you control the sweetness. Here's a tip, if you get boba, lower the sweetness on your drink because the boba is soaked in honey and it'll add a lot of sweetness. My drink I ordered was a bit too sweet despite asking for 25% sweetness. Next time I'll request that they drain the boba well to remove extra honey. The boba was just boiled so it was still soft and yummy. Always ask when they last boiled their boba, cause if it's been awhile then don't add it as a topping! I got to sample their ice creams as well. They have yummy flavors that they make in house. Your standard generic cookies and creams, chocolate, etc. as well as ASIAN FLAVORS! Matcha, durian, Vietnamese coffee, thai tea. Yum! Im SE Asian so my taste buds got excited. And they were indeed delicious and creamy! I would suggest that they add other unique flavors as well, such as Taro or Ube. Now my review was just based on the product. I don't want to rate them on service just yet since they just opened. I will note my experience though. When we walked in we waited in line behind a large family ordering ice cream. That family took forever as ONE person helped the family and three others stood around. The other end of the store front was the cashier and the boba production line. We just wanted boba and could have ordered the boba at the cashier rather than wait for the family ordering ice cream. It literally took 10 minutes until it was our turn. My suggestion, if a customer or party is taking forever picking out ice cream, have the people next in line who want boba order the boba. Because there were three other workers standing around they could've made boba while the other guy helped with the ice cream. Again, the store just opened so maybe they're figuring out how to best be efficient with service and production lines. Covid safety- they require masks yes, but I'm not quite sure how diligent they will be with cleanliness. I say this because the seating area, though there can be spaces between customers, the tables and seats/benches did not get wiped down after each party left. We sat there nonetheless knowing our risks. However, it would be nice if they had one of the three people standing around come and wipe down surfaces after each party leaves. Covid or not, that's just better business practice ya know? Anyway I think they will be more diligent as they literally just opened and are probs still figuring things out. I will be going back in a few weeks and I will provide an update on my rating. Next time I'll also account for service and cleanliness. read more

I'm so happy that there is another bubble tea / ice cream place in Woodbridge! Kokee Tea was not doing it for me. The owners are so nice, they are accommodating and really care about their customers. Their current menu is vast and can serve a broad audience so you can take everyone here whether they prefer fruity teas or milky teas. I think everyone needs to try their durian ice cream. It's a delectable in Southeast Asia (depending who you ask lol). Their durian ice cream is so good because there are little chunks of durian in it, they don't just put the artificial flavoring in like some boba places. Very friendly staff who can customize any drink to the sweetness/flavor level you want. The flavors have Vietnamese influences and are really tasty. I ordered the Taro Milk Green Tea and it has a deliciously earthy flavor that I've only ever tasted in drinks I've ordered in Bangkok. They are currently doing a phased opening plan, so bathrooms are closed and coffee isn't available yet, but they should be fully operational in March 21. Definitely recommend! read more
