    Sausage Egg & Cheese Croissant
    Beryce G.

I'm not sure why this place doesn't have more reviews on Yelp! The food was well-portioned, affordable/reasonably-priced, and, most importantly, delicious! Food (4.5/5) - I ordered a medium cappuccino, sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich, and a chocolate croissant - The sausage, egg, and cheese for me was the highlight of my meal. I loved the creaminess from the egg and cheese and saltiness of the sausage. The portion was also generously sized for the price (I believe it was about $6)! I also like how they cut the croissant in half and packaged it, making it easier to eat. - The chocolate croissant was also good. I think I would have enjoyed it more if it was toasted, but I would say it was a decent croissant and still yummy by itself. - The cappuccino was also good as well. I prefer thicker/creamier cappuccino but this is good if you're in a rush - the best part about this meal is my total was around $16 which is pretty good for 3 full-sized/generously-sized items - For my vegan and gluten-free friends, they also offer GF/Vegan pastries! I think they also have quite the selection as well Service (5/5): - No complaints here! I was the only one in the cafe at the time so they were very patient and quick with me Ambiance (4/5): - They have a few tables right outside of their cafe with some cute decorations (plants, a lamp thing that doubles as a radio) - There's no seating inside so keep that in mind - Overall, this is a great place to grab something quick, maybe catch up with a friend or two - Probably not good for large groups since seating is limited I will come back when I am feeling hungry again and in need of a quick and delicious meal :)

It has the kind of cozy neighborhood vibe that makes you want to relax and savor your meal. Our server, Annie S., was fantastic--friendly, attentive, and very easy to talk to. Her service struck the perfect balance and truly enhanced our experience. We shared the Sailor Gin Martini, which was beautifully chilled, bright, aromatic, and finished with a lovely dry note. It was refreshing and absolutely delicious. For our appetizer, we shared the quiche. It was so good that we completely forgot to take a photo before finishing it! For our entrées, I ordered the cod and my husband had the burger without the bun. The cod was honestly one of the best I've ever had--perfectly cooked, incredibly fresh, and full of flavor. The pea purée that accompanied it was equally delicious and complemented the fish beautifully. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his burger, and I couldn't resist helping myself to some of his fries, which were excellent as well. Every part of this meal was enjoyable, from the drink and food to the warm hospitality and comfortable atmosphere. Needless to say, we both left very happy.

We ordered two appetizers with distinctive sauces, and when our plates weren't cleared after the first course, we made what I thought was a very reasonable request for fresh plates. That simple request seemed to send our server over the edge. At a restaurant of this caliber, I would expect fresh plates and silverware to be brought automatically between courses. Instead, the staff insisted that we keep using the same silverware throughout the meal. Later in the evening, I sat with an empty cocktail glass for quite a while. I tried making eye contact with our server, who appeared to avoid our table by turning her back and refusing to look over. I suspect she noticed me in her peripheral vision because she abruptly said, "I'll be with you in just a moment." I wasn't waving her down or trying to interrupt her. I simply wanted a wine list, which could have been dropped off in seconds for me to browse while she continued helping other tables. Instead, after I asked, she prioritized several other tasks before eventually bringing it over. At one point, my friends joked that "the food is great in Brooklyn, but the service is rude." That honestly made me sad to hear because it doesn't reflect the Brooklyn I've known over the past 14 years. I've always found it to be warm and welcoming. I'm not sure what happened to Sailor, but this experience couldn't have been more different from my first visit, as reflected in my previous review. Before dismissing this as someone being overly critical, it's worth noting that I worked in the service industry for 17 years. I know restaurants get busy, and I don't expect perfection. But basic hospitality, attentiveness, and professionalism should still be part of the experience, especially at a restaurant of this quality.

I highly recommend getting an assortment of dips and small plates - 2-3 dishes per person was just right for us. I can't pick a favorite item of the evening: The Israeli Salad Hummus was some of the best/most flavorful hummus I've had, the Whipped Ricotta was perfect and so fluffy, and the Matbucha & Labne are also great additions to the table. They make a really good Falafel here, and the Crispy Cauliflower were perfectly crispy and well-sauced. The Chocolate Babka dessert is a great way to end your meal, and they do make a solid espresso martini for those wondering. The only thing I was not a fan of is their drink menu - all of the cocktails are spicy or smoky. Although you can sub out different alcohols, it would be nice to have a few other options.

I thought it would be quite heavy but when paired with the pita bread it was just right - light and fluffy with a light drizzle of honey made it a great ricotta - however, ive had better ricotta before at theodora lamb shawarma ($20) - i wasn't expecting it to be a dip but it was delicate and delicious anyways - this is probably my fav dish out of all 3 - the dip was strong and smooth; tasted unique but not anything too impressive either - the lamb was super tender but it was quite strong; i dont think people would've been able to handle it if theyve never had lamb before rating: 4/5 - everything we ordered was good and the quality is definitely there so it's a solid 4 but nothing really stood out - ive had better and more innovative dips elsewhere - the vibe is cute though! It's a perfect brunch spot decorated with plants; feels like a cozy little tree house - quick service; nothing to note IG: @nom.noms.only

The food was solid and service was pretty good. Good beer options, had the happy hour margarita. They are strong! You've been warned.

We came in on a Monday night, delightfully busy but not too full and were able to just really sit and relax without feeling rushed so that was much appreciated. Drinks ordered: Rosemary Negroni (Mezcal Negroni with a bit more sweetness) and Sicilian Daiquiri (refreshing, citrus but definitely one for those who prefer sweet drinks). Both were enjoyed. Food was a little hit and miss: The Smoked Salmon Deviled eggs were interesting but I don't think I'd order them again. The Burger & Fries were good, but we thought both were over salted and weren't too big a fun of the large tomato on the burger, though without it I think the bun would have been too hard.
