A hidden gem near bayside! We wanted some brunch and happened to come across this place which is currently hidden by construction. They have a multitude of brunch/breakfast options to choose from. I got the standard American breakfast and was pleasantly surprised with how quick it came out and the freshness of the food. The lady at the front is very kind and makes sure you enjoy your time there. Inside is decorated with florals and neon lights with cute sayings. I recommend everyone come try out this place!

My wife and I took a trip down to Miami to renew her German passport. The appointment was on a weekday in the morning so we travelled down the night before. In the morning before the appointment this place was literally around the corner from where we were staying. It's a quaint little place with probably about 10 tables. Scaffolding from the construction obscures it a bit. The woman working the front counter was the only person working the front of house. You order at the counter, take a number to your table and she brings it out. She was quite busy. We got there when it opened and more people came in shortly afterwards. But she was keeping up just fine. My wife got the Papillon Omelette Sandwich. She was expecting it to be smaller than what she received, and so in reality it was probably as large as one from a sub shop, so a pretty good deal. She liked it and couldn't quite finish it, so ended up picking out some ingredients at the end. I got the Huevos Rotos, and they were pretty good. Served on a sizzling plate. The aioli had a good flavor to it. My only nitpick would be that the potatoes, while good, were a bit too salty for me...and the eggs probably could have used some of that salt instead. Oh, and they have fresh squeezed OJ for about $5 for a large. I always enjoy those rare occasions when a place is serving that, so we both got one. I do recommend the place. It tastes home made. But the pastries looked like they may be store-bought, so we skipped those.

I came during Valentine's week so there are specials and decors specially for that. The French toast was alright, kinda ate dry that I had to wonder if it even had been dunked in the custard. For the price point, it's a little high for the return so that's one thing to keep in mind. The space isn't that large but the outdoor seating area is an option. The service is great and very helpful. It's a bit of a letdown though because it's more pomp than taste, the foods look great and inviting but while the fruits were fresh, overall the taste didn't match the looks and even the drinks were more aesthetics than actual flavor.

We looked for a spot to have breakfast before a cruise and stumbled upon this place. In typical Miami fashion, parking is horrible. So we paid $10 in the lot and walked a block to it. It's small inside, very cute, but small...like 3-4 tables inside. Initially we sat at the first table we could find, as no one told us anything. We then noticed people lining up to order. Someone finally came from behind the counter and handed us a menu as we lined up. The menu is plentiful, but not descriptive. So thanks yelpers for your pictures! We tried the breakfast burrito and super breakfast wrap. We did not expect rice and beans in the burrito. We also didn't expect potato sticks in the wrap. But as I stated, we could only go by the pictures and welp, that wasn't steak! All in all our wraps were pretty good. Service was meh. Prices were decent. And it got the job done.

Been here many times first review. Food is always SO GOOD! Service is Great!! Latte with Carmel is a little much for a coffee cup. NEED BUTTER for you bread you put on the plate. STILL I Highly recommend!!

This place was absolutely amazing! I celebrated my 35th birthday with a party of 9, including 4 little ones under 10, and it was a blast. The food was incredible, especially the eggs Benedict , and the atmosphere was super intimate. The service staff was amazing and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. We had such a great first experience that we came back multiple times during our vacation.

Before my meal arrived I was planning on giving them a maximum of 4 stars, but the food was delicious and so the wait no longer mattered. If you are like me, you can taste the difference between fresh and frozen or processed food. The fresh OJ reminded me of what I loved most about Florida. Those fresh oranges right off a tree must have come from a tree nearby. The vibe was nice with a good Latin flavor.

Just posting this a cautionary post... don't order the Italian toast online, you're not going to get what you're expecting. It wasn't bad, just not what I wanted. The place was nice and it was good but not what was advertised.

Gross!!! Everything about this place was disgusting. It started with a weak cold cup of coffee. 1 person serving food AND clearing dirty dishes at the same time. Women's restroom closed. I had to ask for butter & jam for the bread. I ordered my eggs over medium. Eggs were like rubber & hard, bacon cold & a few measly potatoes. In my opinion they blew it on the stuffed banana French toast. They added allot of candied nuts to it. Way to sweet & the heavy sugar coating was grainy.

Skipped the crap restaurant at the Holiday Inn and came to this great cafe under the construction scaffolding. Best choice of our trip thusfar! Great food, great coffee, had regular, latte and cappucino. Very nice employees, cant speak highly enough of this little gem.

CP is on the side street of my socio de negocios condo complex, Vizcayne in DT Miami. They offer bfast & lunch and are open until 5 pm. They do not offer lox & bagel, so I opted for the smoked salmon on baguette. The baguette was fresh, and nice and chewy. In addition, there was a fair amt of smoked salmon. However, half was cut at an angle, the other half was cut straight. I'm not sure if this was on purpose, but it looked odd. Regarding the ambiance, they have indoor & outdoor seating. You order & pay, and your food is brought to you. The staff is friendly, and the food came out quickly. All in all, a very good experience other than the common issue w/ dining out in MIA: The prices. The sandwich and a cafecito w/ tip was more than $20. I thought $15 would have been a fair price for what I received.

Pretty decent food and value for the price they charge. I live nearby and went to have breakfast recently. I ordered a Super Breakfast Wrap, it comes with eggs, avocado, tomatoes, pretty yummy. I was kinda bummed to find out the breakfast items don't come with a side of potatoes(like many places do for breakfast) but no big deal. I would come again to have another one of their breakfast dishes. read more

I downloaded this app specifically to publicize my disappointment with this place. They falsely allege they serve breakfast all day, however, upon arrival (over one hour before close), I was instructed that they wouldn't make breakfast at that time. Specifically, they responded, "yeah, no. We're not going to make you breakfast at this time. It's too late." Then why advertise that you do?. I'm sure the owners are completely unaware of this clearly employee-implemented strategy to avoid the burden of having to crack and whip eggs at night. Def won't be coming back, regardless of the time. read more

Been using Yelp for years but this is the first time I'm leaving a review because the service at this place is absolutely horrible and slow. They care more about getting their Ubereats orders than the customers that actually take the time to go to their restaurant in person. Been there 3 times and each time I have waited for over half an hour to receive my simple order. The food is great. But bring something to eat with you in the meantime while you wait for your order. Along with myself there were 3 other customers who asked to get their orders changed to to-go because of the wait time. read more

OK food, but awful service...and the space behind the counter was a complete mess. I don't speak Spanish, and though the cashier seemed to speak English well, she totally screwed up my order. VERY SLOW, so don't go here if you're in a hurry. I was in line for 10-15 minutes and it wasn't because the line was long. I sat down at my table after ordering wondering if I'd even get what I ordered... I doubt I'll be back any time soon. read more

Slowest Delivery ever. Took over 90 min for an omelette that was promised in 30 min. When I called restaurant said they couldn't locate their own driver. Order finally arrived (fried eggs and an omelette) and it was disgusting. Not only cold, but stale French bread, eggs were not cooked fully and omelette was filled with unfresh vegetables. Stay away from this restaurant, both customer service and good are horrible. read more

Stopped in for breakfast and it was very good! The fresh squeezed oj was amazing, coffee fresh and fantastic flavor, and the omelet was amazing. We were worried because there were no customers there at 8am but the place filled up and I heard several comments about how great everything was. A definite return if I'm ever in Miami again. read more

The food was trash. I ordered a beef empanada and chicken tacos. The beef in the empanada was dry, also it had no flavor, no juice, no onions or anything. It was literally just shredded beef inside. I took one bite and threw it away. The tacos weren't anything amazing either. I asked if the soft shell was corn or flour, I was told corn. However, I received flour tortillas. There was barely any chicken in them, it was mainly cheddar cheese and lettuce, I had to pick it off it was so much! I gave them 2 stars because the chicken tasted like it was seasoned well. Overall I would not come here again, or recommend it to anyone. read more

Great coffee and breakfast, the staff is really lovely and the Mocha Frappillon is the best. You can sit outside and enjoy the lovely Bayside area view or inside and listen to good music at all times. The Orange Juice is the best i've tried in my life. I found this place while working downtown Miami this week. The staff is very friendly and the coffee and food is delicious. If you're here for breakfast/brunch get the breakfast wrap! Had it 4 days while here and each time it was great! Good background music and has a nice vibe. read more

Torn between 3 and 4 stars but gave it the benefit of the doubt. Not sure I understand all the hate towards this place. Pretty extensive breakfast menu and all seemingly at a decent price. Breakfast wrap was on point. Latte was good. Kale smoothie was so so, but it's kale. Fresh squeezed OJ and 3 dollar mimosas, how can you beat that? I will say the one caveat could be service. Have a little bit of patience and this place will treat you right. read more

We were staying at the Holiday Inn Port of Miami. Took a stroll and found this little cafe. Good breakfast food, served quickly by very nice staff. Went back the next day. We were warmly greeted and the food was great again. Very small inside but the offer outside seating as well. read more

Terrible experience. Took an hour to get our food and it was a plain breakfast meal. It wasn't busy but simply no hustle from the kitchen. Think we saw 3 meals come out of there the whole hour we were waiting. I spoke to the owner and asked what was taking so long and he was very dismissive. There was no check-in once or apology for the wait once the food finally came. The main reason I usually come here is because of the convenience since it is so close but when the convenience is no longer there, I don't have a reason to come anymore. Would much rather spend my money elsewhere. read more

Cafe Papillon = sex in your mouth. I don't know what magical genie or wizard they have in the back cooking up, but he/she knows what they are doing. Bottomless mimosas for $15 is one of the best deals in Miami, and they taste like the nectar of the gods. I can't wait to take my girlfriend's mom there and hopefully get lucky. This place is a hole in the wall but produces bold flavors. Better service than E11even. 10/10 would go again. read more

We loved this place, we went twice (we're travelling from Australia). The service was great- everyone was extremely friendly and helpful and they even remembered us a few days later after our first visit, welcoming us with a giant smile and friendly greeting. On both occasions we ordered the grilled chicken baguette and it was AMAZING! All the ingredients were fresh and it burst with flavour. Would definitely go back again if we weren't leaving Miami tomorrow, thank you :) read more

We come here regularly for breakfast. The morning crew is awesome and they are always pleasant. We usually order the super wrap which is so good!... whoever thought of including little fries inside of a wrap is a genius! The fresh OJ is delicious and you must always order the extra chipotle mayo sauce... still trying to figure out the recipe! Other menu items that I have had that are solid: The Veggie Omelet, the french toast and the Papilon frozen coffee. read more

Cafe Pap is just bad. Every time I go there, months apart from each other from the food to the service it's just bad. Unfortunately I'll never go there again. Having the same order get messed up more than twice in the same sitting, waiting 35 minutes for an egg and avocado wrap while the lady behind the counter is touching and running her hands through her hair then going back and touching the food... It's just gross. There is no professionalism existing in this establishment. It's in such a convenient location but the execution just isn't there. Maybe one day they will get competent people in there that have the slightest idea about working in a cafe/restaurant. If 0 stars were applicable they would get that from me. I'm hoping my review will save people from having their day ruined. There's plenty more options in that area and cafe pap should NEVER be one of those options. read more

Went here for a "quick" bite and they took absolutley forever.... For a cup of soup and scrambled eggs...lol. When the soup FINALLY came it was the wrong kind. Waitress was absolutley unapologetic about it, acted like it was our fault she brought us the wrong soup. We said it was fine because we were in a rush but she GRABBED it out of our hands to change it despite our refusal. And of course replacing the soup took another 15 minutes. Food sucks, service sucks, and its overpriced as hell. read more

First time 2/29/2016 12:00pm Horrible Horrible. Waited 30 minutes for a turkey sandwich (1 slice of turkey) and a Frapillon. The blonde hair lady mixed my order with several customers. I would never go back there again! My co-worker ordered a salad (processed chicken, not fresh at all!!) Zona Fresca is cheaper, fresher and they also advertise their student special! I will pass my experience on to other students at the college as well! read more

Though the food is very good, there is this one young girl at the register with long Black hair that is as cold as ice!! Ruins the whole vibe of this cute restaurant. Please remove her from interacting (or the lack of) with customers. She looks and acts like she hates the world. We went twice and both times she was very unfriendly, didn't say a word or respond to anything we asked for. Just handed the bathroom keys, or our receipt, to us -not a dam word!! read more

This place has potential but service was slow. i understand that it's a new place. But staff should really know their menu if we have questions. Lunch for two was about $45, pricy but to be expected for locAtion. Which included one cranberry chicken salad, one spicy chicken wrap and a bowl of fruit. All decent tasting but again nothing to write home about. read more

If I could eat Cafe Papillon every day I would. For lunch, the grilled chicken sandwich on wheat is my absolute favorite and for breakfast, the french toast w/ fruit.... delishhh. The location is perfect and they have super quick delivery. There was one time I couldn't get through on the phone and another time I was delivered the wrong sandwich but come on, we're all human here. It's not about the mistakes we make, it's about how we correct them. Cafe Papillon rushed my order and of course got the correct sandwich to me after many sincere apologies. The staff is friendly and it's always a pleasure dining in. (when I have the time to) Oh, and the prices are VERY reasonable, especially for their location and the food quality is great. Two thumbs up from me! read more

All they needed to do was make the mascarpone sweeter and thicker, and use sweetened condensed milk mix for the milk then soak the lady finger in espresso or sprinkle espresso on top. I was so disappointed it tasted like snot in a glass with matcha on top to me. The manager was very nice, she asked me if I liked it and I was honest with her she replaced my drink with a strawberry matcha. They took forever getting my strawberry matcha to me, it was getting busy but our server never came back to our table to give me my new drink. He was awful. The ambiance was decent, the table will ruin your clothes. The cocking glue melted off onto my partners pants. Sit inside if you can!
