This is my go to spot. The staff always welcomes me with a smile, especially the manager. I try to get something new every time and can confidently say everything on the menu is incredible. I love the burrito bowl as it is a generous portion and never disappoints. I would also recommend the BLT and for breakfast, the Eggs Benedict or breakfast wrap. We popped in here for a quick breakfast and were surprised by the amazing quality of service and tasty food!! We had the #69, breakfast wrap, complete with eggs, bacon, and more. I'd eat here everyday if I could, but being we are only visiting for one week, I'll make sure to come by at least once more before our departure. I work in the area and frequent Cafe Papillon for lunch. I usually get a soup and 1/2 sandwich combo. The tomato soup is my favorite. It's got lots of flavor and is perfectly thick. My favorite panini is the prosciutto- i've never been disappointed. The bread is fresh and toasty and all of the ingredients taste great. My only piece of advice is to call ahead with your order, whether you're dining in or taking out. The kitchen takes about 15 minutes to prepare most lunch entrees. read more

I visited the place on 3/14/15 during the Formula E in downtown, this place claims to be french! I have to tell how disappointing I was when they DO NOT KNOW how to prepare a real coffee, I requested a real espresso coffee and charged for it and they gave me a regular American coffee! The croissant were old and no taste at all, happens to be that I lived in France so I know what I'm talking about. So I requested something more american, a cream-cheese bagel and they brought me a burned, old and hard bagel :( Really bad place to eat and drink coffee, they should change their name ... and business for that matter read more

When I came in, the employees greeted me with genuine kindness. They maintained a smile on their face throughout the whole order, and made sure I was constantly attended to. Bagel suckage! Weird smell when you walk in. Ladies serving us with a smile however when cook admitted the bagels were stale and should be tossed, they continued to serve them! My husband and me were on our way to a concert in the area and decided to stop in for a bite. It was our first time and we were pleasantly surprised. This is my favorite breakfast spot. I come here at least 3 times a week with my fiancé. My favorite item is the super breakfast wrap. It is made on a whole wheat or white wrap. I live right next door and walk past this almost everyday. Today, we decided t try it. What a mistake. This place deserves ZERO stars. I ordered their special omelet and a water. Well, the server forgot my water altogether until I reminder her when she brought my omelet. I touched the omelet and it was cold. How can an omelet that is made "fresh" be cold? No apologies on the server's part. I sent it back for another one. The second one came out hot but looked microwaved. I pulled it apart and the cheese was melted to an almost water consistency. I told the server that this was clearly a prepackaged and microwaved omelet. She denied and stated it was fresh. It was anything but made fresh. I requested my money back. At the register what I guess was the owner came to open the register. He never said a word to me and walked away. The server refunded my money. Not once an apology. In the end, this place sucks and no one should go there. Then again, I rarely see anyone in thee which should have been a red flag to me. To start with, service is terrible. Waiters need to pay more attention to customers. Food is ok, but overpriced. Can't believe i payed almost $6 for two slices of tomato with mozzarella on top. Last thing, there's nothing worse for a business than dishonesty. I had been to the place once before, and I remember that during payment, they give you an option to give tips. However, when they swiped my card, It took me straight to signing and tips appeared as $0. When I finished eating, i was looking at the receipt and i was charged extra $2 for "extra cheese" when I NEVER asked for it. Lol, really? Went in during the morning when it was a little busy. My order was taken in a timely manner and arrived in a reasonable amount of time. I had a cafe con Leche with an Omelet #52 on the menu. It tasted good for the price, in total it came out to 9.70 plus a dollar tip I gave because of the fact that the attendant prepared a decent coffee. Overall the pricing was affordable but of course there are cheaper places around. I am a student at the nearby college and did not mention the student discount and was therefore not granted one. I understand they might not advertise it for business purposes but they should as it would create better business. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a decent prepared meal and who doesn't mind paying a little bit extra for better quality. Do not come in here expecting 5 star service and food. It is a cafe and compared to neighboring businesses of subway and Zona Fresca I believe the food is more fresh. The staff was reasonably attentive and they bring your plate out to you which is a plus. read more
