    Orange Bourbon Bundt Cake
    Dan A.

I was traveling for work and my customer recommended Cafe Paradiso. I took the suggestion and I'm so glad I did. The restaurant is quaint and even on a Monday night almost every table was full. The decor is simple and inviting with plenty of light. My server Eileen was helpful, gave good suggestions, and made sure I was happy every step of the way. The $2 up charge for Caesar salad was well worth it as it could be the best Caesar salad I have ever had. The table bread and butter were so flavorful and delicious. I tried the carbonara and it had a nice little heat to it and was a perfect portion. I was getting full, but the Bundt cake sounded too good not to try. I'm glad I did. It was moist and had plenty of orange flavor. The honey sauce was perfect. I highly recommend, you won't go wrong.

Reservation are not required but at 7:30pm it was full and it only took 15 mins if that for people to get a sit that didn't call ahead. Waiter was so very nice and accommodating. The food we ate was top notch. It was like we were in Italy. The decor was Italian setting even the sidewalk seating outside.

A great small town gem. Creative take on standard Italian fare. The Freshwater Farms trout is AH-MAZING!

Will for sure be back to this place. It was good place to eat, just a little pricey for small town food but decent quality.

Freshly baked bread & a plate of roasted garlic olive oil was placed on our table. It was heavenly & we had to remind ourselves not to eat too much or there would be no room for our entrees. Hubby ordered the mixed grill while I got Chicken Parmesan & a chopped salad. The salad was a typical Greek salad & was good. The Chicken Parmesan was huge & took up almost the entire plate. There was a side of spaghetti nestled next to the chicken & it complimented the dish nicely. The server brought a plate of freshly grated cheese & put most of it on my entree. Yum! Hubby really liked the skewer of steak, chicken & shrimp along with the typical veggies of bell peppers, mushrooms & onions. At the end of our meal, the server brought us a lovely chocolate dessert with a strawberry on top for our anniversary. We will definitely be regulars at this restaurant from here on out!

We decided to try it once more just to see if ordering something different would yield a better experience. Nope. The food is... fine. But it should be half the price since it's very obviously premade food service nonsense. I feel like Richmond seriously lacks good upscale(ish) restaurants and so people think this place is good due to lack of options. The place also looked rundown and dirty. We won't be going back.

I got the house wine and my fiancé got the beer and an espresso martini! All great! We got the crostini (mushrooms and ricotta) as an app - very delicious though the flavor profile wasn't exactly what we expected. The complimentary focaccia that came out was also delicious! For dinner we split the rigatoni (very popular per our waitress and we can see why - delicious and the short rib was tender and plentiful) and lasagna (special for the night and also quite good)! The restaurant was cute, smaller but not too small they couldn't do larger groups. Overall, delicious and would recommend!

My wife and daughter shared the Caesar salad and it was very good. I had the Fra Diovlo lobster special and it was excellent although it wasn't remotely spicy which was disappointing. My daughter had the sweet potato ravioli and it was excellent. My wife had the salmon and she really liked it but my daughter and I didn't loved it. It was very citrus forward . The service was fine but nothing more. We did not like our table as we felt like we were at the kiddie table between the bathroom and kitchen with no lighting and lots of traffic. You could tell it was an afterthought for added seating at a popular restaurant. I was also unimpressed with the wine options and I didn't love the one I ordered. We will go back for sure.
