    Chicken sandwich

We arrived during the Pineapple Festival. We just moved to the area and know nothing about Bellfontaine. I get it's busy. We walked in. No reservations. Didn't know they took them. Because we had no reservations we were asked to sit at the bar or outside along the bar/window. Fine, we opted for the outdoor bar/window. We waited 15 mins for a server to come. We received no napkins or silverware. Had to ask for those. My husband was drinking water and they brought the pitcher of water to us. No glass for him. Had to ask for a glass. I was asked if I wanted a refill on my Pepsi. Sure, the waitress asked for my glass and it was literally 10 mins later before she returned with my refill. I knew we should have walked out when we were not acknowledged for 15 minutes. Our food arrived it was fine nothing spectacular. A manager came to our table asked how things were. We are not looking for free or discounted items so we told her it was fine and she gathered our plates and said she would get our check. 5 mins later we receive the check. Took the waitress another 10 mins to return to take the check so she could run our card. This resulted in a 13% tip. We rarely tipped that low, but my husband was frustrated. I don't think we will give it another try.

    Excellent Brunch!

The brunch is magnificent with food and service. The need for a reservation is a must. We had reservation at 10:30 and they were ready for us to enjoy this venue in Bellefontaine. This was a very pleasant drive from Columbus and parking is no problem. Music was playing in the background and Lindsay our server was on the top of her game. The bloody Mary was the vegetable creation and the fresh, seasonal dishes were outstanding. This was an outstanding experience and will return.

One of my favorite dishes! So delicious.

I am OBSESSED with this restaurant. The food is delicious and service is always top tier. I'm a frequent flyer and will continue to show my appreciation to these amazing servers and cooks. The ambience is laid back.

Great place to relax and unwind!

Great food and drinks. The staff is above and beyond great. They are full of recommendations and very attentive. I would definitely try the shrimp and grits/ my favorite!

Huge mushroom pieces inside my omelet :)

We visited on a Saturday afternoon and sat out front facing the street (they have indoor seating and outdoor seating out back as well). They were offering brunch so of course I went for a breakfast option, and my companion did as well. I ordered a coffee and chose their veggie and goat cheese omelet - it came with a side of potatoes - and my mom got their fried green tomato and fried egg BLT (sans egg). She subbed out the fries for sweet potato fries (up charge) and said the sandwich was good but the fries were seasoned with something a little spicy which she did not care for. I thought the spice was good but just an FYI if you aren't a fan of spicy things. The omelet was really good. The goat cheese looked like it was squeezed in so it was spread out within and not in pieces. The mushrooms inside the omelet were huge as well which I enjoyed. The potatoes on the side were good too! I didn't really like the coffee but everything else was solid. And our server was really good! They have live music there often also but sadly not on the day we were there. I would check them out again though. Thanks for a nice brunch, The Syndicate!

    Buttermilk Fried Chicken and Waffles

What a great restaurant in our small town. The food is amazing and the wait staff is so friendly and attentive. I believe our last visit our waitress's name was Rochelle. She brought out some warm rolls with some cinnamon butter. Delicious! For our main meals I got the Buttermilk Fried Chicken and Waffles. There were two large pieces of chicken that were cooked to perfection. The chicken was so moist and tender. The waffles were delicious. My wife got the Baked Burrata Stuffed Ravioli. She really enjoyed it. The only complaint she had was she didn't care for the bread that came with it. It was grilled and almost tasted burnt to her, but some people may enjoy it. We also got a couple of cocktails. The Syndicate Sangria and the Strawberry Peach Bourbon Smash. Please be advised that this is not an inexpensive restaurant but you get what you pay for. Excellent!

I had a hangover burger. It was cooked perfectly and the over easy egg on top was too! The fries were fresh and delicious as well. I went with a group of six for brunch and four of us got the burger and all liked it. The other meals were the chicken and waffles which were a hit...she said the waffle didn't have much of a sweet potato flavor which is good in my opinion. And someone else had the breakfast burrito which was huge and looked very tasty. Kaz was a great server and took care of us very well. The environment is swanky and pretty. I loved the living plant wall that we were seated next to.

I ordered the Manhattan and husband ordered a bourbon neat; the Manhattan was classically tasty, but the bourbon was a very small pour (though the prices are very reasonable). Kiddo had the lavender lemonade which was tasty. Husband and I both ordered the chicken fingers, he with the pimento Mac and cheese, and I ordered the jalapeño cornbread. Kiddo had eaten already but we ordered her the biscuits. The chicken was fantastic- seasoned well and not overcooked. It was served with tasty vinegary greens (wish I had more!) and thin-sliced watermelon. The Mac and cheese was good but light on the pimento; we enjoyed the Old Bay seasoned Ritz cracker crumble. The jalapeño cornbread was lacking heat but tasted good. I tried the biscuits and could eat the orange marmalade-ish jelly forever, though our kid didn't care for it. We came back the following week and this time tried the catfish and grits. The catfish was seasoned perfectly and very good; the grits were average, needing more seasoning and some cheese. It was busier this time but still great service. I enjoyed a Negroni and husband had a whiskey (better pour this time). Overall we've been impressed by the menu, service, and price. We'll be back and Hope this business can keep it up to offer some local variety in Marysville.

Pray to the waitresses sales pitch for the pour your own tap gimmick for beers. They need to warn you ahead of time that the beers or are $10-$12 each for us 12 ounce glass of beer. You pay by the ounce maybe some of the other choices were even higher than one dollar per ounce. Ended up having three beers that cost $30 My total for a simple meal plus beers plus tax plus tip was $59 just for me myself For just simple bar, food and a couple beers. That's a little extreme in my book. I am from out of town and will unlikely never be back ever. I just wanted to warn anyone else.

We arrived and waited over 10 mins before we were acknowledged. Once they were ready to seat us the girl asked "will you be leaving by 630?" Considering it was almost 5 pm my response was "I guess it depends on how quickly the kitchen and staff move..." The food was decent. Not great, but not terrible. My husband said their wings were actually really good. Our kiddo got a burger and said it was average. I ordered their "nachos" which are just potato chips with toppings. They were just okay. Considering this place has been open for years and we just went last weekend, I don't think we'd return on the simple fact they're charging nearly $4 for a soda and we felt like the food portions were small for the price. It's not our vibe as we aren't frequenters of sports bars or drinking.
