Every bite was amazing. Service was quick and servers were kind. Small location so be prepared to wait if arriving after 9am.

A classic downtown Santa Fe breakfast spot. It's a great place to start a day if you want to walk around downtown. The decor is iconic, they take reservations, and you can close the check via mobile too. The food is good, but it IS very expensive.

Grilled Nopales Cactus Salad and Wild Shrimp Cocktail Mexican-Style

This is an eclectic and interesting space with a very fun and energetic vibe. It is small, so you definitely need a reservation. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. The Mia's Silver Coin Margarita was delightful. Not too sweet. I think that the cocktail menu there is a bit different than what I saw online. I'd give a 4.5 if I could. Overall it was a great spot, I think I just ordered poorly and things weren't exactly what I expected. I just wasn't in the mood for most of the menu choices. We shared the Wild Shrimp Cocktail Mexican Style, Grilled Nopales Cactus Salad, and the Mole Enchiladas with chicken. The ingredients were all very fresh. The shrimp was nice, but it comes in a glass and has a lot of tomato juice and it is more of a salsa with some shrimp, avocado, and veggies. It was just a little too acidic for my taste. The nopales cactus salad was really interesting and pretty tasty. The chicken in the enchiladas was flavorful, juicy, and tender. The mole sauce was okay. It was fairly bitter and overall I found the enchiladas a little bland. The corn torte and orange & Jicama Salad that came with it were tasty. Worth giving this place a try if you're in Santa Fe!

I love this place! This is only our second time. The first time was a few years ago and we had brunch. I remember being pleased with our experience so today when looking for somewhere to eat on Valentine's Day I lucked out and found a 5:30pm reservation as someone had cancelled! Woo hoo!!! The restaurant opens at 5:30pm so there was a line at the door and we all got seated quickly. I had a glass of Gruet Rose and my husband had a beer. I ordered the conchinita pibil and was not disappointed!! I made 2 little tacos with my corn tortillas, pork, veggies, crème fresh and habanero pickled red onions! So so good and I had leftovers! My husband got the special au poivre ribeye and ate every bite! For dessert I had the Meyer lemon cheesecake with coconut crust and my husband had the layered honey cake. Both were wonderful! I also had a cup of hot peppermint tea! We had a lovely waitress and the ambiance is eclectic and cozy as it's small and lovely. All the staff are so kind. This is a place I will always return to! Come check it out when you have time! Make a reservation!

Adding more photos to my review.... Didn't realize all the descriptions were there without the dishes! So sorry about that! Oh, and here's the dessert menu that we couldn't enjoy (being stuffed like the chile relleno)!

Semifreddo. A standout dessert in a food town.

There's a reason this place is an institution. Solid New Mexican flare with some unique takes. The BLT of course had green chile but the bread was a corn bread grilled to perfection. Paloma's were excellent and the dessert was a standout in a trip full of good food.

Outstanding! The host squeezed me in I was able to be seated at the communal table nice to sit with others n chat if ur social. Met other diners from every area of America and my neighbor was town over by my home. Food was delightful got a mocktail to start was delicious n looked like an alcoholic drink despite a lemon mocktail. Pear salad to start , fish entree with bok choy and cheesecake to end with. I was so full it was nice to walk back nearby to my hotel. So yummy also service was impeccable

Had a seat at the share table, and that was a treat in itself meeting new faces and hearing their stories. Honestly, I forgot what I ate as I was more engrossed with the spontaneous conversations. All I remember was that it was hearty, yet refreshing.

If I could get back on a plane every morning just to go here, I would. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. While small, the bathrooms were incredibly nice. They were in this tiny hallway but the bathrooms were so well done. I started with the pineapple ginger juice and ordered the hashbrowns, turkey bacon, and scrambled eggs. They make their own gluten free toast! Man. Everything was amazing.

Fantastic! Worth the wait! We went for lunch the Saturday after Thanksgiving. It's a small place that doesn't take reservations for lunch. We waited and it was well worth it. Everything is fresh and inventive. The staff is super friendly. It's a quaint dining experience in Old Town Santa Fe. It's a must.

Plato Supremo with chile relleno, chicken mole enchilada, Oaxacan Tamales, and cilantro rice.

Came here based on several recommendations, on my only night off during a work trip, and it was unique and memorable experience. Quaint, cozy and bright, Cafe Pasqual's is conveniently located a stone's throw away from the plaza. I was able to make a reservation for 1 on a weekday and scored a seat at the community table with 8 other diners, with whom I made polite conversation. When I arrived at opening, there was already a line around the corner, but all were seated promptly. Although I made a reservation, others at my table informed me they were able to walk in. Eager to try local cuisine, I ordered the Plato Supremo with chile relleno and a chicken mole enchilada, and the restaurant kindly let me substitute the steak skewers with the Oaxacan Tamales. I enjoyed every bite and hoped to savor it as long as possible, especially the chile relleno which was rich from the cheese and covered in a delectable savory peppery tomato sauce. This is a meal I won't soon forget.

I had a great lunch at Pasqual's - the waitstaff were all wonderful, the atmosphere cozy and delightful, and the food tasty! A great place in Santa Fe to try!

Make reservations early as it's a popular place and quite small. This is a local fave, and two different people recommended it to us. They knew what they were talking about as the food is delicious and it has a cool and friendly vibe. The food was excellent, although we were led astray a bit. I was told that the Oaxacan Tamales was an appetizer size, so ordered that with the Arctic Char. It was actually an entrée portion, as it's a heavy dish, and that would have been plenty for my full meal. As we were in a hotel, I was not able to take anything home with me. So I ate two dinners! The fish dish we both ordered came with a cilantro lime sauce that was spectacular. The fish was a lighter dish, and the snap peas that came with it, as well as the roasted red chili pepper were scrumptious! Too good to leave behind! My dining partner ordered the flourless chocolate cake for dessert, which was very dense and rich. One bite was enough for me, but he enjoyed it immensely.

Unfortunately I was highly disappointed by food and service. I ordered fish and shrimp taco. The food wasn't bad but it's didn't come with a side of salsa or any sort of sauce. I was surprised to find them close even though online says that they are open at 11am that day. I checked on google and it was suppose to be open. I called and they said that they are open but waiting for alcohol to be delivered at 3pm. Did they assume that every customer coming in is ordering alcohol? As far as I understand this is a restaurant that serves food and alcohol and not a bar. Shortly after my arrival, there was a large tour with 12 people showed up. I could see that the waiter was a bit flustered because he also had to tend to other customer as well as the tour. I guess this is where the tour take people for authentic taco experience. In my opinion these are more toned down gringo tacos. My taco didn't come with a side of sauce like everyone else. I also noticed that the tour all received a side of salsa which I didn't. I'm not sure if the waiter forgot. I had to flag down the waiter a few time because he also forgot my drink. I also ordered an agua Fresca watermelon and it wasn't made of real watermelon but flavor syrup from the bar. I wished I had known that it wasn't real melon. 2.5 stars for the food and 2 for service. Again food wasn't terrible, but certainly wasn't close to be the best.

It sounded like dinner service would have meant waiting for a table, so this worked out perfectly. The bar area struck a nice balance between lively and intimate. The tables had cute lanterns filled with coffee beans, and the abundance of plants throughout gave the space a cozy, nighttime greenhouse vibe. As instructed, we ordered at the bar and everything was brought to our table. Unable to decide between two desserts, we ordered both: the Hot Fudge Sundae and the Cheesecake. To pair with dessert, we went with the Spiked Coffee and a glass of Santa Fe Spirits Apple Brandy. We'll go from bad to good: neither of us cared for the cheesecake. The sour cream vanilla topping overpowered both the cheesecake itself and the graham cracker crust. My wife, however, really enjoyed the spiked coffee, and I thoroughly enjoyed the apple brandy. It was incredibly smooth, almost like drinking apple pie. The surprise winner of the night was the hot fudge sundae, and what made it exceptional was the fudge sauce. It had this rich balance of dark, slightly bitter chocolate with just enough sweetness to keep it smooth and indulgent. Overall, we had a great experience and would absolutely come back to try an actual meal sometime.

Apparently moles aren't all dark chocolate spicy sauces ... ?!?? Loved the education and samples. I'm typically not a mole fan, but they were fun to try. We were seated immediately but waited about ten minutes before anyone greeted us. When our server finally arrived, he wished us a happy anniversary--even though it wasn't our anniversary. While not a major issue, it's the kind of detail a restaurant at this price point should get right. After ordering drinks, water, and our meals, we were told everything was available except the duck. My wife ordered the sopa de amora and the halibut special. I ordered the frijole negro and attempted to order the Popocatépetl, only to be told it was unavailable that evening. Instead, I was offered a $90 Wagyu steak. For a restaurant of this caliber, the menu should be updated or guests should be informed of major changes upfront. It felt like a bait-and-switch. Our drinks arrived, but after finishing our water, we were told more would be brought out. It never arrived until dessert, when I had to ask again. The frijole negro was excellent--the best dish of the night. Unfortunately, my wife's soup was disappointing. We were told it had to be eaten from top to bottom or bottom to top for the flavors to work properly, and this explanation was delivered in a somewhat condescending manner. Despite being described as "the best soup in the state," the flavors simply felt off. For the entrées, my steak was good, but the rice was overcooked and mushy. My wife's halibut was completely under-seasoned, and her rice was equally inedible. Dessert was better. The crepes were enjoyable, though the walnuts were noticeably burnt. I don't usually nitpick, but when a restaurant charges premium prices, the food and service should justify the cost. Unfortunately, both were mediocre, and the overall experience fell far short of expectations.

She had the Cadillac Margarita and I ordered the Hibiscus Margarita. Both were very good. We ordered the yellowtail ceviche with the blue corn tortilla chips. The presentation and portion was impressive. This was put together very well and the freshness of all the combined ingredients were spot on. What a great start. We ordered our entrees and inquired about the wine by the glass selections. Unfortunately, this is where things started to go South. Our nice young server (first night serving) didn't know anything about the wines. They had wines from various regions that we were unfamiliar with the names and profiles. My wife chose a Malbec from Argentina which we are somewhat familiar with and I rolled the dice and selected a Sauvignon Blanc from Baja California. We asked for a sample taste of each and our server left and didn't come back until 5 minutes after our entrees were served. Fortunately both wines were good so they came back soon after with full glasses. My wife ordered the elk chops with crimini mushrooms and bacon on top of a black garlic mash potato. The presentation was beautiful. Her first bite and instantly her face looked like she was about to hurl. Apparently the first bite was grissle. She reluctantly pushed on and was careful on the next bites and said the elk was chewy. This is not how elk should be. I cook game proteins often. Elk should not be chewy. I checked it out and saw one chop was a little overcooked (medium) and the other chop was cooked proper with a hard sear and medium rare. She did say the few mushrooms and bacon she had were good. LOL! I had the whole fried red snapper with crab risotto and broccolini. This was impressive looking when it arrived and the fish was fried perfect. Unfortunately the risotto under the fish was al dente, pasty, and a little dry.. The cook did not use enough broth to cook the rice through gradually and reduced down and repeat with the broth like a good creamy risotto should be cooked. My wife hardly ate her meal and was still hungry and ordered their churros. You can't go wrong with homemade churros. When they arrived, it looked promising, but that first bite was very sweet and the exterior was over fried and the interior was doughy and not a good texture. If I had to guess, the oil was too hot when they fried them. What a bummer. Everything seemed disjointed and not executed correctly after the cocktails and appetizer. Perhaps it was an off night because there are a lot of good reviews. I wish we could have gave a good review because everything was presented so nice.
