Chicken Shish Combo, came with a small salad that isn't pictured.

Little hole-in-the-wall mom and pop type restaurants are always my favorite little gems to find. Cafe Saffron is probably my favorite of those types of places in Norman. It's super small and kind of cluttered feeling due to the size. Their kabobs are always amazingly seasoned and you get large portions. We usually get it to go but we actually sat down to eat in the store today. The owner was nice. We chuckled to ourselves as you could hear the older couple who runs it bickering in the back. When I want great kebabs or shawarma, this is one of the best spots to get it.

Best place in the whole Oklahoma state! Mom and pop are great at making food! It's a small place but with a full blast of flavors! The service is great

This small restaurant is right across from campus. The food was fresh and hot. The spices and flavor were spot on! The baklava was delicious and sweet. Give yourself a treat and try this place!

If you don't like really spicy food let them know before hand because the normal is a little spicy. The yogurt sauce does help cool it off. The lamb shank is good and well cooked.. only one guy at the shop taking orders and preparing the food but he is very friendly. 2 portion is alot so maybe enough for 2

Had the chicken shawarma plate. It was OK. Eating in is not recommended. Foam plates, plastic utensils and no AC. The place may be fine for ordering out. The chicken had some flavor but the tzatziki sauce did not.

Small shop that gives off mom & pop vibes. Super delicious and super yummy. For sure a place you have to check out when in Norman.

Wonderful, little spot that always serves fresh and amazing dishes. Never have I had a bad experience. I recommend the kubideh.

You can get Mediterranean food in many places these days. Falafel is good everywhere, right? WRONG!…read moreFalafel is good almost everywhere. Then, you find a place where falafel is excellent, and you realize you never really knew falafel at all. Cous Cous showed me today that I did not know falafel. And the same can be said of every dish I consumed there today. Authentic, fresh, beautiful. In 3 countries and 15-or-so states have I tried Mediterranean food, and each establishment has been found wanting now that it is pitted against Cous Cous Cafe. Divine.

We were in town for an all day battery of tests at the Baptist/Integris doctor's complex for hubby…read more I scoured Yelp for an interesting ethnic restaurant. Finally I spotted Cous Cous and was so excited because we had visited Morocco in 2019 and LOVED it! The owner greeted us warmly and was pleased to learn we visited his country. He brought us Moroccan tea which he served with a flourish. I ordered the lamb plate and hubby ordered the mixed grill. The lamb was plentiful and very tasty without the odd taste I've encountered elsewhere. Hubby's mixed grill was very generous (for only $1 more) and he loved it. I was annoyed with myself that I did not specify couscous instead of rice! That's what I get for talking instead of paying attention. They also have a display case with some delicious looking cookies and desserts. We each ordered something to go to give us something to look forward to after the hour trip home to our ranch north of Chandler. I didn't get the name of my cookie but it had coconut in it and was so-so good. We will go back for sure!
