New to the neighborhood and finally tried this place! Love it! I had their iced Oaxaca mocha latte with oat milk, so creamy, not too sweet and definitely hit the spot. I'm a fan of almond croissants and really enjoyed theirs (they warmed it up too!). Love supporting women owned business and dog friendly spots. Their seating area was really cute and relaxing. Their coffee is so expensive I can't justify coming here again. It was $10.50 for 2 small cold brews that were so bitter I was only able to drink half of mine. I'm used to cold brew and string coffee but this was way too strong. The biggest pro is the courtyard with ample seating in the back. It's really spacious with tons of benches and large tables. It's a shared space with a couple of food trucks so it probably gets busier at lunch/dinner time. Overall, the coffee was too strong and over priced. read more

Hi, I have a confession to make.... I'm OBSESSED with Cafe Santo!!! So, Cafe Santo made its way into my life via IG. I was immediately intrigued by the fact that they offer Oaxacan mocha latte's and Oaxacan hot chocolate. I was satisfied with the balance of flavor and sweetness in both drinks. For my latte aficionados, we know a good latte and this place DOES NOT disappoint. The Oaxacan mocha has Oaxacan chocolate that's blended with almonds and cinnamon. It's delightful! I recommend you stop by on a Sunday so you can also try the DELICIOUS food! They have memelas (omg, it's like created by gods..soooo GOOD!), pan frances ( aka French toast), and chilaquiles rojos. The french toast is to die for and the chilaquiles almost tore my family apart. My husband had the audacity to say that the chilaquiles are better than my moms! Listen, they were very delicious but my goodness don't compare them to my moms cooking. (If you know, you know..) Needless to say, I'm a regular here now and I hope you become one too. The customer service here is horrendous. I wanted to support a Latinx business but never again. A woman was taking orders 15 minutes before closing. I asked if all drinks were available and she was just rude "yeah" no eye contact just looking at the pad. I gave her my order and was so put out. I cancelled. I now it's petty but somehow just seeing it labeled would have made me feel special. The chilaquiles are terrible. They look picturesque but do not taste like anything that you'd get in your abuelitas or madres kitchen. If you're latinx and want spice from chile not paprika or cayenne then do not eat these. Just make them yourself and you'll know they'll be good. My eyes and stomach were so excited but once that nonsense no taste heat started we were forced to throw both plates of chilaquiles away. Y yo no desperdicio comida, jamás. So they're at the CMC building in DTLA for Farmers Market Wednesdays, which has me always excited for Wednesdays now. I always order an Iced Vanilla Latte with Whole Milk, and it's always perfect. I don't need to add sugar, don't need extra milk or espresso. Sometimes I drink it too fast because it's too easy. Their roast is deliciously smooth and not bitter. You can tell they carefully craft their coffee and espresso as they make each order one by one (and usually only on person because it's small booth at the market). Wow, what a great find. I haven't tried all their coffee's as yet, but what I've tried I really enjoy. I try and pick up a cup before I head out. Love their danish options. Had to head over and support your local Oaxacan peeps. Their Oaxacan mocha is the best either cold or hot. It's not super sweet especially because they used Oaxacan style chocolate. I would recommend their chilaquiles, they have great flavor and good level of spice. My partner often gets their French toast and you have to love their custard. It saddens me to have to write this review since I never write negative reviews. This review is solely for the customer service I received at Cafe Santo. We just opened a business down the street from here so I came here to order some coffee and breakfast for myself and my partner. After 30 minutes of waiting I noticed some people behind me had gotten their orders so I went up and asked them the status of mine. They were extremely confused and said they will get it started right away, then told me they gave my order to someone else? had already been waiting for over 30 minutes at this point and was on a time crunch to get back so I politely refused and asked to be refunded. As a business owner in the area I'm shocked at the service I received. I understand that mistakes happen but it's not okay to make customers leave without what they came in for. I had to return back to the office empty handed without any food. I noticed that they had messed up a couple orders prior to mine as well and had a few people waiting for a long time. It would have been nice if they had offered me something in return for waiting that long rather then letting me leave empty handed. I won't be coming back for that reason. read more

I used to really like this place when they first opened but now it's a little disappointing as a local. I ordered two chilaquiles, 2 dirty chai's and a bagel and that was close to $60. It's definitely overpriced. The chilaquiles were pretty big and they were good however, the dirty chais were disappointing, you could taste that the coffee beans were burnt. read more

We booked Cafe Santo for my brother in law's wedding and they are awesome!!! We loved the look of their coffee cart and how they were able to cater so many drinks to the wedding guests!!! (Wedding size was 160 adults!) It was especially nice to have because the wedding reception was outdoors and in November when it was cold. So hot drinks for most of the guests!!
