No matter who is working here the staff is always kind and friendly. They have delicious and unique pastries. One time I got a pistachio croissant that was bursting with pistachio cream. The vibes here are very laid back and chill. It's like your little local coffee shop. Love it here!

This cafe is so comfy and can be on the more quiet side. The vibes are casual. This is a great place to catch up with friends or work. The drinks taste delicious. A go-to drink I would recommend is the Sapienna. They have milk alternatives (which does cost a bit extra), like oat milk. The Lox also tastes great. There's some outside seating, but more so inside seating. There's plenty of parking - think plaza parking. Service is quick and friendly. They also give great recommendations.

Made it to CS just in time before they closed today. We were craving a bingsu and our Oreo bingsu really hit the spot. It was chocolaty, smooth and silky. Most importantly not overly sweet. They prepared one order in two to-go cups. Worked out perfectly for us.

Delicious bingsu comparable to chains like sul and beans but without the wait, crazy parking and loud noise! We had the mango shaved ice and it was delicious. My goal is to try all the flavors by the end of year haha. Cute little mom and pop hidden in a plaza with many parking spots. I'm looking forward to trying their lattes/drinks too!

Solid cafe in the Oak Park area! I've been to Cafe Sapientia for a Yelp event (their bingsu is quite good), but I surprisingly haven't been back since. I have since realized why - Yelp has this place labeled as "Not a A Good Place for Working", which I personally disagree with. There's actually a decent amount of seating and outlets. Anyways, for my second visit, I ordered an Iced London Fog and a Tuna Sandwich. The tea was okay, pretty average quality for the London Fog. The Tuna Sandwich was actually really good and is something that I would order again. If you are looking for a cafe in the area with good food, drinks, and dessert, and is also a suitable place for getting things done on the computer, give Cafe Sapientia a try!

This place is so nice. The snow creme ice is so good! We bought one for to-go, they put it into 2 cups so it's easier to eat. Service was a bit slow considering there were only 4 people working (2 front and 2 in the back) and there were always customers coming in and out. But, overall the service was great, they were very nice. There are a lot of tables for people to hang-out/study/work. Overall, it's a great place to go get desserts. Would definitely come back!

Cafe Sapientia is a hidden gem! Tucked away in a quiet Oak Park shopping center, it is very unassuming on the outside. As soon as you walk in, many tables are filled with folks studying, chatting with friends, or just relaxing with a latte. It is a very chill vibe and friendly atmosphere. The baristas are always very friendly and accommodating. The selection of drinks and food options are solid, packed with flavor and variety. I love the tuna sandwich, paninis, herbal teas, and lattes. They also have delicious desserts and baked goods. Every time I come here I always have a positive experience. Highly recommend this local neighborhood spot!

This place absolutely lives up to the good things people have to say about it. We went at about midday on a weekday, and it wasn't too crowded, and everything came out relatively quickly. We got the avocado toast with lox which was excellent, as well as the chive cream cheese taiyaki which was also quite good. Drinks didn't blow us away, but they were both quite solid (matcha latte and hazelnut latte). Not the cheapest, but that's to be expected for the area. Definitely see myself coming back here!

Matcha is my best! My hubby likes original. Their shaved ice form keeps long time. They are keeping serving bowl in freezer. Their snow powder ice is unbelievably soft. I recommend you to try sweet, good flavor ice melt in your mouth.

Came here on a walk with our family to support an outstanding local business. I had the sunset fizz drink and it was so tasty. We also had a soy milk latte and an oat milk latte that were delicious. The staff here are very friendly and the atmosphere is clean, bright, and happy. read more

A family run cafe with great ambiance and respectful service. I found my meal well seasoned and fresh, and I especially loved the modern puff pastry style taiyaki and the crusty slice of sourdough that came with my soup... Not to mention the charming wooden tray and handled ceramic vessel used to serve the latter. This cafe is a favorite that is frequented by locals of all ages for a good reason. read more

What is not to love about Sapientia?! The absolute best espresso and coffee, a variety of tasty muffins, avocado toast as good as anywhere and snow cremes that will blow your mind. How do they make those?! Not to mention the incredibly friendly ownership and staff and the comfortable and home-like surroundings (including a turntable and collection of LPs). The best shaved ice North of Los Angeles! Super sweet staff and cute decor. Growing up in Oak Park, we always had to drive so far to get decent bingsu. I was skeptical at first, but this place did not disappoint! I ordered extra mochi because I thought it was only on top, but almost every bite in the Original Snow Creme had it! I'm a huge fan of red bean, so this was a dream. I also tried the mango, but the original is easily my favorite because it's not too sweet! Haven't been in this spot since it was starbucks back in the day, and was blown away to see such a sleek, inviting atmosphere, a much needed facelift. Simple and modern yet relaxing design on the inside. I ordered a shot of single origin espresso which I had 3 choices to choose from. By far the best espresso i've ever had, and it was even paired with seltzer on the side the traditional European way. First time here and I am so pleasantly surprised. There were only 2 spots open! The gentleman at the front was super helpful in helping us choose what to get. We decided to get the matcha one. He informed us that it comes with red bean inside, we decided to try it out! It was delicious. Super light and flavorful, would probably just do it without the red bean next time. Very poor customer service. Doesn't match the overpriced but really good beverages and food. Won't hurt to be friendly or polite. I've been coming regularly since they opened but the last couple of times I was thinking more about how unfriendly the staff and owner were than enjoying my delightful lunch and coffee. I don't get the "good neighbor" vibe anymore, so have to say goodbye to this establishment. read more

Cafe Sapientia is by far the best shop in Ventura County that I've ever been to! You can't go wrong with any selections on their menu! Their drinks are so refreshing and always hit the spot... their food menu is fantastic! From their avocado toast... to their shaved ice... yummy! And don't get me started on the chicken pesto(my personal fave)! The inside has such a nice and cute ambiance about it as well! I come here 3-4x a week, and most times I come just to finish some work and study because the place is so relaxing and has very comfortable couches and chairs. Not to mention the owners(the Jeong's), are super nice and so friendly! Genuinely have never met such a kind family who always put their customers first and make sure they have the best experience possible! You can't go wrong with this beautiful shop located in Oak Park. I promise you won't be disappointed if you give this place a visit! :) read more

Came here for a quick refresher on a warm day. The strawberry Korean shaved ice (Bingsu) is the perfect light dessert. The ice itself was super airy and creamy and the strawberry "syrup" (more like a thin jam that was amazing) tasted super fresh and was the perfect addition to the dessert. You can tell a lot of care and love went into this place and it shows through the food. I can't wait to come back and try more! read more

I discovered this café this summer with some friends visiting home. I think I've been here 3 or 4 times and the cafe is absolutely wonderful! The design is modern and very clean, air conditioned, and has lots of nice spaces to study and hang out with friends. I got the original snow cream (korean shaved ice) for ~$10. The flavor is great, light and slightly sweet without being over encumbered by excess condensed milk, and it's always fun to find little bits of mochi and sweet red bean within the bingsu as well! Would definitely recommend this spot as a great way to explore some korean desserts and enjoy some snacks with friends. read more

I ordered an iced café latte mocha--half white chocolate, half mocha--and from the very first sip, the coffee just spoke. It was incredibly smooth, rich, and perfectly balanced. The blend of white chocolate and mocha wasn't overpowering at all--it was just right. What also surprised me was the size of the drink for the price--great value. On top of that, the service was super friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. The inside of the shop was also a treat to see--clean, inviting, and just a really nice place to hang out and enjoy your drink. We usually go to places like Coffee Bean or Makena, but after this visit, I think we've found our new favorite spot. If you're in the area, this place is a must-try. Can't wait to come back and try more!

Mine and the sandwich was absolutely delicious. It was so nice warm buttery. The croissant had the perfect texture to it and the ham turkey and bacon had so much flavor. I thoroughly enjoyed it and I would 100% order it again. So I got the hot chocolate and the hot chocolate was pretty OK. I got it with whole milk. It felt like it was missing something, but it was good like pretty standard hot chocolate.
