Stopped by Entropy Coffee at the Thousand Oaks Mall and I'm honestly impressed. It's better than Starbucks in my opinion. The Coco Berry was super refreshing and not overly sweet. The Golden Saffron was unique and really smooth with a warm flavor you don't find at most coffee spots. Even the mocha tasted balanced and actually like real chocolate and espresso, not just sugar. The vibe is clean, the drinks feel intentional, and the quality shows. The owners are super sweet and awesome. Definitely coming back. read more

I tried their original matcha latte. The staff explained they use ceremonial matcha with no added sugar. The signature matcha would have milk foam on top. My matcha tasted fine, but could be a little stronger. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would come back and try another drink next time. read more

Love this place! Itala Magdalena Coffee has such a fun and unique menu. I tried the Saffron Latte and it was amazing--smooth, slightly floral, and the golden foam on top made it feel super special. The Dubai mocha with pistachio cold foam is also a must-try if you like something rich and nutty. The vibes here are cozy, and the staff are really friendly and helpful with recommendations. my cousin and i went here on a very busy afternoon. the holiday rush was in full swing, and we thought the line didn't seem too long. i ordered a cold brew and my cousin ordered a matcha. 20+ minutes later, we still didn't have our drinks. i gently asked the manager (?) but also mentioned that there was another party in front of us. we got our drinks immediately, but the party in front of us still didn't. they kept mixing up the orders as well. the drinks were fine, and i know it was probably a stressful day. i wish they had been more transparent about the wait - a nice couple came in and asked how long it would be, and the manager said 8 minutes. there is absolutely no way that was true. read more

The girl working the counter was really friendly and did a great job with the latte, which means a lot coming from a former barista / espresso snob. The manager who was working the counter today was SO kind and gave the best recommendations, and custom made the latte I ordered with a recommended combination of flavors I hadn't thought to try before and it was fantastic! Genuinely one of the best lattes I have ever had. He also recommended the "crookie" (croissant and cookie hybrid) and it was AMAZING! One of the employees approached me and suddenly wanted to look at my phone. It's the one with slick back hair and glasses. She said she wanted to see my photos because she thinks I was recording the women in front of me in line. I showed her my photos app to dispel any doubt. I've visited Itala Magdalena a couple of times and have gotten friendly service with a wonderful shot of espresso and a sweet treat. In addition to the cakes and other treats they also offer a wide variety of Baklava. No matter the packaging or quality (of Baklava ), I've never need disappointed; sweet and crunchy as oppose to chewy. If you want a place that can provide reliably good Baklava this is the place. When I'm in this part of the Oaks Mall, I'll stop by again ! read more

I love supporting small businesses instead of the industry giants, so I thought I would give Itala Magdalena a try. I love the menu. It's super easy to understand and has photos to depict every drink. Unfortunately, the barista spoke minimal English and doesn't know how to make any of the drinks. My drink was supposed to be topped with whipped cream. When I questioned him, he handed me the heavy whipping cream. I told him never mind, and he told me he was new. The friend I was with ordered a coffee. It wasn't made fresh. He heated it up in a coffee cup in the microwave for 3 minutes and poured it into a paper cup. Very disappointed for a $7 coffee. I was shopping at The Oaks mall and needed a caffeine fix. Itala Magdalena caught my eye and I asked the young server what she was good at making. She proudly told me Cappuccino, so that's what I got and it was very good. They had a wide selection of pastry items that I believe come from outside bakeries. I ordered a pricey slice of cake with rainbow colors and it was absolutely delicious. If you like trying new coffee shops, then give this place a shot! read more
