wow I absolutely loved this place!!! I'm new to Texas and this place is very close to where I live. I ordered to-go since I'd already had a long day. They got the food out to me within no time at all. The lunch menu is very affordable and you definitely get what you pay for! My favorite part was the cannoli! I ordered the manicotti and it was really good! I'd say maybe a little too much cheese on top but overall was really good. Ended up putting the cheese and sauce on my bread roll and it was absolutely wonderful! The decor reminded me of home. Sweet home Italy. You'll definitely feel comfortable dining there! read more

Due to potential weather and other things, we ended up here for Mothers Day '24 for an early lunch. Very impressed with service, food, and presentation. They had a special 3 course pre-fix menu (2 options for each course) as well as regular menu available. We had 3 in our party (Mom, spousal unit, and mysel). The 2 ladies got the pre-fix menu and I had lasagna. but we shared a bit of everything. The food presentation and quality was fabulous and a ton of food. The Italian dip with bread was spectacular. It is BYOB and there is a small store in same shopping center that offers beer and wine. Server was very patient as I picked something out and offered to open as soon as I got back. Value for what we got was outstanding and I would have expected to pay close to double (and happily so for the quality) if the location was not in a Bedford strip mall. We will be on look out next year if they offer something similar. read more

This is our favorite Italian restaurant. The people here are always really nice to us and our kids. Tonight, our server Alex, was great. Food is always great. One of our favorite spots and we always bring friends and family. Update: back again tonight because my 4 year old daughter insisted on getting sketti and meatballs. Our server Marcus could not have been nicer and gave both my kids his full attention. My daughter even said to me "He's being really nice to me." I cannot go on and on about how much I love this restaurant. I've never eaten in the restarurant, but i always get take out or delivery. They are always fast, courteous and the food is always EXCELLENT. i'm lucky now that i bought a house across the street! hahaha. My favorite dish there is the chicken aristocrat. but i've had the lasagna, the spaghetti, several variations of the pizzas. and the tiramisu...omg. the sauces all have a fantastic flavor to them. none of that weird canned flavor. And there is SO MUCH FOOD! i will be sad if they ever move and leave me. :) The people are all so very nice inside. They are always smiling and funny. I've eaten here twice and I am not a fan. Service is exceptional, but the food leaves little to be desired! I am pretty sure that 75% of our meal was frozen and then reheated for us. The meals had a slight freezer burn taste to it. My daughter did love the bread (almost Hawaiian roll like), probably the best part of the meal. We had a special of the day appetizer, it was spicy shrimp with cheese, served with garlic bread. The flavor was OK. I had a salad with mozzarella, tomato, roasted red peppers that was quite tasteless. My daughter ate a shrimp, artichoke pasta, which she liked, but it was definitely pre-frozen. Thank you manager Sam and staff for a wonderful dining experience. The service was phenomenal for such a small cafe. We had a group of five. Everyone at the table felt at home. Great atmosphere. Some of the best Italian American food that I have had in this part of the world. We had several vegetarians in our group. The waitress was able to give recommendations that made all happy. I highly recommended the Veal Calzone. It is veal stuffed with cheese and mushrooms. Served on a bed of angel hair pasta with a light cream sauce. Keep up the good work. One of my favorite local owned Italian aside from Savianos and Lissanos. Simple and generous size portions. I always get the clam linguine but their seafood fetuccine does not disappoint. This is one of those hole in the wall treasures. Located in a strip with a laundry mat and a salon on either side this small gem is one of my favorite haunts for an affordable, delicious meal. Weekday lunches are a steal. They have a list of choices all under 6.00 some under 5.00 -- this includes your drink, a salad or soup and one of the listed lunch options! The owner/manager Karin is meant for hospitality. She is incredibly friendly - I don't think I have ever seen her in a sour mood. She remembers your face almost immediately and after a few visits she knew my name as well. Often regular visitors will leave their wine there (Its BYOB.. or BYOW? heh) and she recognizes them and will go get *their* bottle of wine. Simply amazing. Very personal. Quaint and fresh. This is a little neighborhood Italian food restaurant. It's BYOB, and if you forget your "grape juice", there's a little store 3 doors down where you can find some cheap stuff. (Nuthin wrong with cheap wine) So, the place is cute and a little romantic on the inside. The service was very friendly. The food was very good. And guess what...homemade salad dressing. I am so big on that. I believe if you own a restaurant, your food should be fresh, including your dressing. The side salads were super fresh and crunchy. I had a thin noodle dish with fresh broccoli, olive oil and garlic. And my guy had some sorta pasta goodness with Marinara sauce (he ordered it spicy) and it had mushrooms and other goodies. I have been coming here since they were down the street near the Albertsons. Their vodka sauce is the best! I love the tortellini michaelangelo. The garlic rolls are warm, nice crust on top, soft in the middle and very flavorful. Don't eat them all at once. Save at least one for dipping in the sauce. You won't be disappointed. They have a very affordable lunch menu also. read more

This place is fantastic. Lunch is dirt cheap, $6-7.50 for salad, entre, and drink before 3pm! My favorite is the Pasta Treat, which is three different kinds of cheese filled pasta, drowning in their "Pink Sauce" which I believe is marinara mixed with Alfredo. If your food is covered in this "crack sauce" as I like to call it, it will for sure be a hit!! The first time I went, I had chicken Marsala, which I'm not really a fan of anyways, but my husband wanted to split it, so I agreed. It was definitely not my favorite thing, but every single other thing I've ever eaten here, I have enjoyed. The Caesar dressing is a little sweet for my taste, but it's still pretty good! Absolutely horrible, this place is literally a hole in the wall dump. The restaurant itself was small and the decor was old and very dated looking. Service was meh, along with the food. I ordered the spaghetti with meatballs and was charged a $3.00 "split the order" fee?! All because I wanted to share the plate with another...I've been to several Italian restaurants along with others and have never been charged such a thing. Of course I brought this up with the manager who preceded to argue with me stating the charge was "listed on the menu" which it wasn't. I called him out on his lie which in turn he took off the charge because he LIED. Overall crappy establishment, mediocre food but I refuse to support local restaurants that lie directly to your face to make a profit. NEXT! read more

Well deserving of 3 1/2 to 4 stars. My first time here I tried the complementary bread, crab stuffed mushrooms appetizer, eggplant Parmesan and a meatball. My dining partner had the mixed seafood pasta. My minor concerns: The meatball was a little cold (but tasty enough to eat that way), and although the baked eggplant Parmesan I was a very large portion, it did not come with spaghetti. I was not going to pay $6.50 additional for some spaghetti and marinara sauce, so I elected for the meat ball instead and I'm happy that I did. Lastly, While the crab stuffed mushrooms was quite good, it would've benefited from either a buttery garlic white wine sauce or a cream-based sauce (vodka tomato cream, etc) Next time I will go at lunchtime for what seems to be excellent values. read more

Took the kiddos there for pizza. Loved and was super surprised at the size and deliciousness of the garlic rolls-whole family loved them. Had the mozzarella stick appetizer and were served hot and gooey fresh with good, authentic marinara. Got a small cheese pizza for the boys and it was a generous size-had leftovers and even for a cheese pizza, it was good and seasoned. Adults had pepperoni, jalapeño and bacon medium sized. Was quite good and we really thought their bacon had a smoker, richer flavor than most. Paid $50 for 5 people including tip, an appetizer, and brought home lots of leftover pizza Overall we really feel like we found a gem. Are looking forward to returning and trying the pasta dishes. Really terrific spot. This is the only italian place with a lasagna as good as my mother's. The portions are hearty and reasonably priced. We usually get the pasta faggilio soup, seafood fettuccine alfredo and lasagna and the taste and quality is always top notch. You can tell the owner (or owners) love their business and put their whole heart into it and it shows. We usually get it to go and it is always piping hot and waiting for us when we go to pick it up. I was suggested by a friend to check out Cafe Sicilia. I'm glad I went! Great environment, the ambiance in the restaurant was excellent. The staff were well versed in the menu, and very friendly, attentive, and eager to help. I couldn't decide on an appetizer, so the waiter Suggested I get the sampler. That was a really good choice. The Flounder Florentine was delicious, and fresh. At the end of the meal, I was asked if I wanted dessert, they don't have a dessert menu, but don't worry, the very knowledgeable staff listed the dessert choices. I ended up getting the Limoncello (lemon) cake. It was phenomenal! I will definitely be telling my friends about this spot. read more

This place is near my home. I wanted some homemade ranch and a cannoli. The ranch is good and creamy. This will be my place to pick this up. The cannoli was creamy, sweet and crunchy. I would have this again. The only thing that I spent 9 dollars on those two things. The cannoli was the most expensive at nearly $5. I just think maybe two instead of just one for that price would have been appropriate. I am willing to try other menu items. The customer service alone was warm and welcoming. read more

Did you know the well loved children's book Pinocchio was written by an Italian? Poor Carlo Collodi is probably rolling over in his grave that his bestseller is referred to so trivially on a screen in a nondescript strip mall in Bedford, Texas. The question scrolled by a gazillion times on the night that my mom and I dined with my grandpa at this sweet little spot, and is perhaps the only criticism I can muster about our visit to Cafe Sicilia. This was grandpa's choice and grandpa's treat. I was skeptical, as I always am about Italian food. And while my skepticism was only slightly misplaced, Cafe Sicilia won the day. As I suspected, the food was to be Italian American rather than striving to be authentic Italian. And yet, it was the tastiest Italian American food I've had in years. The tomato sauce in which my mussels (eat more mussels: https://www.leaf.tv/articles/how-to-eat-freshwater-mussels/) were served was purely delicious. Make me a clean, bright, rich tomato sauce and you have my heart forever. Fortunately, the tomato sauce was prelude for the dishes to come. My mom ordered the chicken piccata, which was fresh and lemony, perfectly cooked on an al-dente bed of saucy linguine. My grandpa ordered the seafood fettucine in rose sauce (as recommended by our delightful server), and we all cozied up to him closer than was probably comfortable to steal bites throughout the meal. I can't tell you all that was in the dish, but I do remember big, sweet bites of delicious crab (the real deal), shrimp, and scallops. The sauce was smooth and sweet and rich, and the bowl really could have served all three of us. Even with grandpa eating heartily and our stolen portions, there was enough to take home in a doggy bag. Our server was friendly and attentive and took the time to slow down to interact meaningfully with my grandpa, which was a kindness we all noticed. Grandpa isn't exactly slow, but at 96 years old, he's full of life in a way that craves earnest and joyful interaction, which our server delivered gracefully. I wasn't crazy about the bread or the salad, but our other dishes helped us to forget these. Wine is BYOB (cha-ching!). The interior can be hot (I can't imagine how the cooks stayed cool). Sit closer to the door for a bit of a breeze. Leave your snobby prejudice about Italian American food at the door and come with an empty stomach and your favorite red. And for crying out loud, let me know if the trivia displayed on the TV gets interesting. read more
