It's been about my 3rd visit and my first review! I don't recall why I never posted but I clearly keep coming back. This is a local spot that stays busy. It's a breakfast, lunch and early dinner spot serving South Cobb - Mableton, Austell, Smyrna and even Marietta. On a Sunday at about 11:30 AM they said the wait was 1 hour however the bar was open. We waited for the setting to be cleared and sat down. The restaurant was super busy with to-go orders, dining in, large groups and everything in between. We ordered the Cafe Social House breakfast - Grits, Eggs and Chicken sausage. The Pancake Platter served with fresh fruit (hold the powdered sugar), scrambled eggs with cheese and chicken sausage patties. I skipped the photos but it was plated very nicely and the syrup is served warm in a little bottle. Reminiscent of Cracker Barrel! Ordered a cafe latte with almond milk - they don't serve decaf unfortunately. Overall, great service, conversation with the bartenders, patrons were friendly and the TV was on a cooking channel that had the most delicious recipes on display. They also show their in house specials, hours and events on the TVs. They're opening a downtown location soon on Marietta Street - Cafe In The City ATL. Locally black-owned, all day menu spot in Mableton. I love places that serve breakfast all day, so I knew I wanted to try it. It's a plus that it's up the street from my sister's house. We had a short wait of less than 10 minutes for our table, despite two large parties inside. It's small and quaint but inside is beautifully decorated in soft grey. One of the most comfortable booths I've sat in for a food service. My first review from several months ago didn't post until I came back today. And it was incomplete. I remember the last time I got the French toast meal but today I got the salmon croquettes meal. I got the grits, toast and scrambled eggs with it. This was a lot of food! And everything tasted great! The toast was grilled to perfection on both sides and it was so buttery. The eggs (which were real) were scrambled just right to my liking and the grits were good. I didn't have to season a thing. By the time I dug into the croquettes I was full. But I wanted to taste them while they were still hot. They were good so of course I took them home to really dig into them later. This place is reasonably price considered the portion sizes. Been meaning to try this place since we moved in down the street. Ended up running in for takeout on a Saturday morning. Plenty of friendly folks greeted me when I arrived. Ordering was easy, but deciding what I wanted wasn't, lots of good options. My wife ended up with the omelette sans cheese but added tri-colored peppers, mushrooms and tomatoes. She said it was great. I got the Brioche French Toast. It came with thick bacon and a couple of eggs. Eggs were over easy and they went just a touch to over-medium but they were still good. The French Toast was excellent. It came with thinly sliced strawberries and a few blueberries. I ate my wife's Texan toast slice, which I am not sure how a piece of toast could be so good, I could have eaten half a dozen slices. I also got an excellent side of cheese grits. Cafe Social House is all about good vibes and good food. I've had the pleasure of dining here twice over the years. The first visit was the better of the two--mainly because the second time there seemed to be a disconnect between servers about who was handling what table. It's never fun to watch your food sit at the pickup station for five minutes before it finally makes its way over, and yes, I did request for it to be reheated. But I digress. On my first visit, I ordered from the breakfast menu: the French Toast Platter ($19) - two brioche French toast slices with fresh strawberries, blueberries, and powdered sugar, served with two eggs any style and two pieces of bacon (pork or turkey) or sausage (chicken, pork, or turkey). Vegan sausage is available for an extra charge. I opted for turkey sausage--light, fluffy, and surprisingly good--and my over-easy eggs were cooked perfectly. Of course, I had to try one of their drinks, so I went with a hot chocolate and a splash of Kahlúa. Let's just say they have an impressive drink menu, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. For my second visit, I decided to switch it up and went with the Salmon Croquettes Meal ($23) - three homemade salmon croquettes with their signature sauce, served with eggs and a choice of grits or potatoes. The croquettes were well made with a nice crunch, and I chose grits (adding some shredded cheese because that's how I roll--don't judge me). Overall: Even with the hiccup in service the second time, the food delivered both visits. If they can keep the service flow as consistent as the quality of the dishes, this spot would easily be a solid go-to. read more

Absolutely amazing food and service!! This place is a true gem. We were warmly greeted as soon as we arrived and seated promptly. The server offered us a variety of options when we asked her for recommendations. We ordered a couple of the dishes she recommended and were not disappointed! Food arrived relatively quick and was plated beautifully. The portions were generous and every dish was scrumptious. Stopped by Cafe Social House with a coworker for a quick bite to eat. We sat outside on the patio because the weather was nice but we didn't think about the flies that would accompany us. I was pretty hungry so I ordered a side of breakfast potatoes with cheese, onions, bell peppers and mushrooms. They charge an additional $1 for each item added. I also had the French toast platter that came with scrambled eggs and turkey sausage (the spinach and tomatoes were an additional $1). For the drink we had strawberry mimosas, which were pretty good. Overall, the food was good and parking was easy. Our server Tameshia did a good job of checking in on us. My family and I were looking for a brunch spot after his soccer game and decided to give Cafe Social a try. First let's start with the good. The young fellow that greeted as we walked in was so very nice and welcoming. He let us know there was a bit of a wait but he would be right with us. We ended up waiting about 15 minutes which was not that bad. Once we were seated we ended up waiting about 10 minutes before our waitress come over. When she finally arrived she took our drink orders and provided menus. It was about an other 10 minutes before she got back to us to take our order. Once the order was placed things took a turn! We ended up waiting close to an hour before our food was brought to us. When it finally arrived the order was incorrect. My wife ordered a chicken Philly with no cheese but came covered in cheese. The waitress was very apologetic and took it back immediately. But this led to my wife having to wait almost 20 more minutes for her sub. I ordered 10 wings. When my order arrived it had fries with it (which I didn't order) but the waitress rang up the combo that included the fries for less. Very kind of the waitress to do that. The wings were great and the fries were really seasoned well, although I didn't get very many. My son ordered the pancake platter which he loved. He got the turkey bacon which he loves. But it was really floppy. I'm curious on how they cooked it. We bake it at home and it comes out with a crispy texture. Love the diverse menu, offering just about anything you can think up for brunch, including yummy plant-based options and staples. We got there a little early and at first the service was a bit off. I think they were trying to still get things together however, once they got it together, everything went smooth. 5 Stars I've been coming to Café Social House since they first opened, and my very first experience was amazing -- great food, great vibe, just overall awesome. But after that, I'll be honest, the staffing issues really hurt the service for a while. It was tough because the food quality was always there, but the long waits and lack of attention definitely made it frustrating. I'm really happy to say that's finally turning around! On my most recent visit, the service was back to being what it should be -- friendly, attentive, and so much smoother. You can tell they've been working hard to get the right people in place, and it's paying off. The food, like always, was top quality: fresh, flavorful, and consistently delicious. Walked into the perfect ambience. The music here is so cafe relaxing. The DJ definitely knows how to accentuate the music to the guests. It's extremely clean, beautifully decorated with great service. I ate at the bar and while I selected all in the photos it was for tasting and to take home later. Being YELP ELITE I want to make sure I try a variety to share my thoughts with everyone. The food was quick and hot which is lovely! This was a GREAT spot for my cousin and I to catch up. The ambience was AMAZING even at 12 in the afternoon. Our waitress Tameisha was welcoming, patient, and very attentive. She made our experience top tier. Now on to the food...I had the salmon croquettes meal with eggs that I requested onions in (they used my favorite onion without knowing, the purple one), you have a choice of grits or potatoes (I chose the grits and added cheese), and I opted to have the sauce that normally goes on the salmon put on the side (sorry, I don't have a review for the sauce, because I forgot to eat it...the salmon croquettes were THAT GOOD they didn't need assistance). The eggs met my expectations and the grits (let's just say, I didn't need to add anything! They were made and seasoned to perfection!) The avocado toast WAS SCRUMPTIOUS!! I LOVE AVOCADO! And had plenty avocado toast, but this rendition had pickled onions add on top and I must say I am forever changed! I live for any moment that I can use pickled onions and never thought to add it to my avocado toast! But babeeee...this whole experience was ABSOLUTELY WORTH SPEAKING ABOUT ANNDDD COMING BACK!!! My cousin has the catfish and grits that came in a huge martini cup! I only have what she said, that the fish was seasoned great and the grits were so good, they had a special sauce swirled in that she enjoyed tremendously! Presentation is 5 stars, however, the salmon martini proved to be fishy, even with adding lemon to attempt to neutralize the odor and taste. Grits were bland. Shrimp was okay. Cafe Social House is my go to neighborhood brunch spot. I could have sworn I left a review before, but I digress. Everything I've ever had is great except for the coffee. Although, I've noticed it depends who is on shift LOL. My #1 is obviously the martini shrimp and grits, mainly because I refuse to eat grits from ANYWHERE else. It's absolutely delicious and perfectly seasoned and the pre-buttered Texas toast is chef's kiss. The thing I appreciate the most about this spot is that they're accommodating of their customers and if you want something done a bit differently, they got you -- no questions asked. Their all day menu is great, and the drinks are STRONG. Definitely a nice little happy hour spot as well. When the sun is blazing and the summer gets hot, the patio is an excellent area to just relax and sip on a drink. It's not big but it can definitely accommodate a small group of friends.
