I love to travel, but I get homesick pretty quick. So, thankfully for Versailles in the airport I can have a quick taste of home to hold me over while I'm away. If you're at all hungry, don't try this location and be disappointed. I usually give airport locations some slack on their food quality, but this place was just super below par. The Cuban sandwich was $8.50, and that was an okay price. But, the quality was severely bad. The whole sandwich itself was dry as it lacked much more needed condiments and fresher meats. The bread was also too dry. It's like old bread that they crisp up to disguise the staleness. There was by no means a line happening so the rush in making the food wasn't necessary. But then again, if you don't have fresh ingredients then it wouldn't matter either way. So thanks for the leftover dry meats. The cheese and spinach empanada was $2.75, and the quality was okay. It was super late in the night so I suppose the quality was on the decline. The hubs read from another review that the pastries actually come from the real Cafe Versailles location in the AM. Honestly, it is one of the better food options that you can find that is located in the airport. Prices are generally more reasonable than a fast food restaurant located in the airport too. Service was quick and food was freshly prepared, just like how I remembered when I used to live in Miami. Please give them a try if you are passing through. read more

The service was about what one would think in an airport. Though no one was in line, they were more into talking to each other than customers. The sandwich I took to eat at my gate. It did have a nice crispy shell and a reasonable amount of fillings but not enough character. I could taste the mustard but had to really focus to taste the pickle. I've had good experiences at the actual Cafe Versailles and the airport location by the American gates, but this terminal has limited food options, and the low effort reflects that. The sandwiches are all pre-made, then heated in the press, which is not enough to actually make it a "hot sandwich." The meat in my Cuban sandwich was lukewarm, and cheese was not melted. Cafe Versailles is my go to when I am at the airport early in the morning and I want to eat some classic Cuban food. This time, however, my flight was delayed and it was getting rather late so I decided to eat a "media noche" - a midnight sandwich. The sandwiches come pre-packaged and are heated upon order. My first impression? I couldn't find a fault in that sandwich. Maybe it was because I was very hungry but I really enjoyed my media noche. My friend, whose mother works for the famous Versailles on 8th street, told me that the pastries are delivered daily, every morning, so that customers can always have a fresh pastry. Although I didn't grab a pastry this time around, I usually go for the guayaba con queso (guava with cheese) and a couple of croquettes. I highly recommend adding them to your order. I am rating it four stars because I felt like I waited a little too long for that sandwich when I was the only person in line. Other than that, no complaints! read more

Una croqueta is sometimes all you need to keep peddling towards your terminal. It's not the fanciest kiosk but it gets the job done. Sometimes, going elsewhere is a long commute further away from your terminal than you need to be and they have the favorable options us Miami folk were raised in. It's nothing flashy-just fried balls of goodness and some potent Cuban espresso with enough sugary foam to keep you going the extra mile. I like the empanadas because I can walk and eat them at the same time without a flakey mess. I guess it all depends on the line and your boarding time. If you risk walking over to the Starbucks then you might encounter the same line or even worse. What can I say? It was a huge disappointment! Normally when I get Cafe con leche, it has a great flavor and the coffee barely has any of that acidity that you can get from crappy coffee. This is for the D7 location. $10 for a "tuna baguette." It's been awhile since I tasted cardboard, cold cardboard. Not even some mayonnaise, which I swore off years ago, helped put some flavor in the food. Thanks to Cafe V, I once again know the pleasure of not having to eat this type of food on a regular basis. This location is close to gate Gate D4. Rushed to grab a quick bite. Told the both cashiers I was rushing for a flight. went there specifically for a hot sandwich. The older woman cashier was yapping would not take our order. Other guests walked away. Again, I specifically asked for a hot sandwich, they threw a cold sandwich in my bag which I did not have the time to check before getting on my flight.
