It was amazing with the garlic confit putting it over the top. And you get a small or large so not some overpriced over large sandwich. They also have a daily special that looked really good. Maybe it's the ambiance? For sure it's just a cool building with high ceilings and decorated their words like your tias house. It's just cool old typewriters, mud century lamps and furniture. Great spot to hang out. They have a few outdoor tables and a bar. The place is not large but it's really very cool. Maybe it the coffe? The original concept was to take a ventanita up a notch and their coffe is excellent. A beautifully presented and tasting cafe con leche or cortadito And they have parking, free parking

Truly one of its kind, Tinta y Cafe has some of the most delicious cuban-style sandwiches in town…read more Not just that, but for the price-point, variety, and quality; it doesn't compare to many in town. My go to and my suggestion if you are a first timer is their madurito. It is one of their classics and most beloved, and a personal favorite too. When I go by myself and order the mini, I tend to have left overs and I have found that when I go with my partner, the regular is more than enough for both! Each sandwich somes with some platanitos, which are a perfect combo, and I would suggest you order un jugo de parchita (or maracuya) or try their beloved coffee. As a matcha lover, I recently heard they started offering matcha as well which I am SO excited to try. P.S., keep in mind that they don't allow laptops and I feel like they might even have a wifi blocker since signal gets so bad inside, but I really appreciate how it motivates you to remain very present and connect with the staff and other customers around you.

The English muffin was toasty and soft , bacon as cooked to perfection and the eggs and cheese were just creamy , fluffy and delicious. I could have eaten 3 easily. The staff were so welcoming and sweet and everyone in line were all just as excited as i was just to finally be there. I will definitely be returning.

Where this fell down to us was in the baked goods... including the "English muffin" on which the sandwich was based. Let's start with the good things... the service was fast and friendly. Clearly all the ingredients were high quality. Everything looked beautiful in the display window. The eggs were perfectly scrambled. Light, fluffy, moist, and held together with just the right amount of rich cheddar cheese. And, the Bacon was great ... thick, just the right amount of crispy and chewy. The English muffin was disappointing; dry, dense, heavy and overly chewy. It's almost as if the dough didn't have a chance to rise fully, it was made with too little water, and it was undercooked. It was so dense that the smooth interior faces of the muffin didn't even do a good job of holding the sandwich together. Sauce dripped, eggs fell out. Even the thick bacon slid around, almost escaping being bitten into. This wasn't the only baking concern we had with Ophelia. We also picked up a mango filled "summer special" (doughnut) and a piece of "Pistachio Berry Toast". The doughnut filling was wonderful.. rich, sweet mango. The doughnut itself was surprisingly dry and dense. Then there's the reason we just don't care to return to Ophelia... the pistachio berry "toast". First, there was nothing toasted about this dense slab that most resembled pound cake... yes, pound cake. Dry, tasteless, and completely underwhelming. It's difficult to identify the makeup of the "pistachio" topping... and it certainly lacked flavor. The berries were flat, desiccated berries on top. All was covered with a thin dusting of confectioners sugar. Definitely nothing to have again. We also had a cortado and a matcha latte. All told, the cost of this trailer-in-a-parking-lot quick breakfast was $57 including a 20% tip that we added. There are no picnic tables or benches around, so we ate in the car. By the time we left there was a line of over 25 people, and more streaming in. When we arrived at 7:45 AM Saturday there were only three people ahead of us. So, either the hype is still pulling in new unsuspecting customers, or this was a really "off" day for the quality of the baked goods.

The service was good, our server was very bubbly. It got a bit busy and I think she forgot about us towards the end when we were waiting for her to come around again with the check. I had the grilled cheese with tomato soup and I will say the grilled cheese was to die for. The cheese had bacon melted into it. It was such a filling meal for me, I absolutely loved it. I had a side of hash brown as well and it was perfectly splendid, it had a crispy finish to it. My brother loved his avocado toast, he ate it all to the last bite. Parking can be tricky, there is street parking. If not there's a garage a couple blocks down. I guess since it's in the heart of the gables it can be kinda busy. Although, I will say this breakfast spot is in such a great location for you to walk around and enjoy time with friends or family.

Block East from Versailles Parking resulted a little difficult given that this place is located in a small strip mall with limited spaces and other visit business, if lucky you will find a spot on the rear area or wait for a space to become available Entrance by the deli is narrow and crowded, the deli is well stocked, its impossible or leave empty hand My ordering process (one item to go) was easy despite the crowded entrance Waiting time resulted a little bit excessive ( they seem operating in a busy schedule ) This could definitively improve. The chicken empanada was really good. The coffee was a disappointing. The barista used old foam (whipped expresso) from a previous batch. My sister ordered hers with oat milk and I ordered mine with regular milk. After the barista finished he was like which one likes it sweeter and I said me and he tried to give me my sister's coffee and we both said no? Because of the milk. He said they both tasted sweet anyways. Mine was slightly darker and I had to add sugar on mine to make it taste decent. The empanada definitely saved them and is the only reason I gave them 2 stars. But the customer service was not up to par.
