Everything was soooo good. The service was fast and they were all super sweet and helpful the whole time. The restaurant was so cute inside super clean We got the appetizer and it was amazing . Warm, crispy, cheesy, perfect. The lasagna was AMAZING. Super cheesy, saucy, and meaty not dry at all. You can tell it's made fresh. The gnocchi was soft and pillowy and the sauce was sooo flavorful with that creamy cheese Literally could've ordered another plate. And don't even get me started on dessert. The chocolate moose was rich but not too sweet. Perfect way to end everything. The wine was amazing too. Honestly 10/10. I'll definitely be back.

Aruffo's Italian Cuisine is such a cute little spot in Claremont and definitely gives off an upscale, cozy feel. My fiancé and I went around 2pm on a Thursday and the restaurant itself is small, intimate, and really charming. We ordered the Pollo Salsiccia Gnocchi, Bucatini Carbonara, Ricotta Bruschetta, and an Affogato for dessert. Everything we had was really good. The gnocchi was rich and comforting, the carbonara was creamy and flavorful, and the ricotta bruschetta was a great way to start the meal. Also, their complimentary bread is SO good. Warm, fresh, and honestly hard to stop eating. The only downside was the noise level. There were three large groups dining at the same time and since the space is small and tables are pretty close together, it got really loud. It made the experience a little less enjoyable, especially since we were there for more of a date-style lunch. Overall, the food and vibe are worth checking out and I would definitely go back, just maybe at a quieter time.

I love coming here . Always great food. This is one my favorite Italian places to eat. Inside it can be kind of noisy, but I prefer sitting outside. I love the outside area. Alec was our server. He is amiable and out going .

The menu had plenty to choose from, did not disappoint. Our food portions were good size, delish! Our waiter was attentive, knowledgeable & his food suggestions were on point. We sat outside where it was nice, peaceful & comfortable.

So tasty! Amazing ravioli! I recommend the garlic bread with olive oil to dip. Fresh herbs! So good! Prompt service

This Italian restaurant has been here since 1985! I placed a to-go order today. The food is amazing and the service was great. I love how their Italian decor goes into the little details too! It's my first time here, and I'm already planning to come back in July to try their seafood pasta!

Had a lovely Sunday lunch with friends in their patio out back. We enjoyed our entrees: Pacific Salmon, Aragosta (lobster ravioli) and baked lobster pasta. The complimentary bread is so good, we couldn't stop eating it. The passion fruit martini was fun but just a tad too sweet for me. Service was great. Overall a very nice experience.

Aruffo's Italian Restaurant in Claremont was an absolute win for lunch. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance felt welcoming, clean, and friendly--perfect for a relaxed family meal, even with little ones in tow. The staff was accommodating and kind, which always makes a huge difference when dining as a family. The food was outstanding and clearly made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Everything we ordered was flavorful and beautifully presented--from the creamy burrata with grilled bread to the perfectly cooked artichokes, rich and comforting caprese pizza that was light, crisp, and delicious. You can really taste the care that goes into each dish. It's one of those places where the atmosphere, service, and food all come together seamlessly. Whether you're stopping in for lunch or planning a casual family dinner, Aruffo's delivers an all-around terrific experience. We'll absolutely be back--highly recommend!

Fresh bread made daily, good seasoned plain spaghetti, Steak and gravy... tastes like Italian comfort food from a mom. Not the granny type that makes you hug the belly and feel like you're in a thick blanket after a good glass of wine but just her daughter with handed down recipes. Server was great Ofcourse, no issues there and the feel inside is pretty dark, moreso for a nice date. I wanted to love this place as I have tried it a couple times but I just like it. it does the job and is a local staple.

    Gnocchi... very tasty & delicious

Food: for most of us yes but for 1 of us was not. He ordered the wagyu & the presentation wasn't very pleasing. Not enough food: ravioli but mostly sauce. Was it good? He says it's ok. Food was served in an hour. Plate was warm but the food was not. Ambiance: crowded & we were seated in the corner. Service: it was a busy evening by the time the server came it was past 30 minutes after we were seated and finally we had our water to drink. Overall the food was good- I'd like to try again some time when it's not so busy. Check it out! Located in Claremont Village. $$$ If not for being seated in the corner, food not warm enough & if they have given a bit more attention to us- I might have given a five star. Next visit then.

    Does Aruffo's offer take out?

    Yes.

    Allow dogs outside patio?

I've only seen sporting dogs there German shorthaired pointers Labrador retrievers couple of hound dogs no poodles 😁

Does aruffo's offer any mid week lunch specials?

Sadly I did not see a lunch special what you pay for lunch is what you pay for dinner bring your wallet if this restaurant had a lunch special it would rock their back patio is awesome but sadly it doesn't seem too many people go there for lunch.

Do you have outdoor seating? Wheelchair accessible?

They have outdoor seating! It is right off the sidewalk so I would assume can be wheelchair accessible.

    Do they take reservation?

    They do not.

Does anyone know of there are gluten free pasta or pizza options?

No. As of yet, no one knows.

Is it the patio dog friendly?

    Patio is dog friendly

Do you need to make a reservation before you come and eat here?

You may walk in or call in a reservation. If you are an unusually large group it is a good idea to call in a reservation.

Do they allow you to bring your own wine for a corkage fee?

Yes, I believe it was $20-25 corkage

My server, Clint, recommended the Fidelity red blend. I'm usually a Pinot Noir drinker, but this was a great choice and paired really well with my filet and lobster tail. The steak was cooked perfectly, the lobster was excellent, and even the drawn butter was served at the right temperature. I finished with the peach tart for dessert, and it was delicious. I also met Anthony, one of the owner's sons, who was making his way around the restaurant checking on guests. Both he and Clint were friendly and attentive all evening. Great food, great service, and a fun atmosphere. I'll definitely be back.

My wife and I ordered the surf and turf for the first time and I have to say, the lobster was bad. It looked great upon arrival but it lacked flavor. The only way to get some flavor was to lightly sprinkle butter on it ( which I never do ). The texture told me it wasn't fresh. The 8oz filet was also lacking in flavor and was brought cooked rare. ( I ordered med rare ). I figured a good steak, I could do it rare and be ok but lo and behold, fail. My wife's was not much better and hers was served med rare. I will go back but will never order the steak of lobster. For that meal, I will go to The Derby or Eddie V's.

The cream of mushroom (an upgrade, but absolutely worth it) was luxuriously smooth and intensely aromatic -- it truly tasted like freshly blended mushrooms rather than a generic cream base. Rich, velvety, and deeply savory. The pizza had a beautifully crisp crust with that satisfying crunch along the edges, yet still tender inside. The pasta was perfectly al dente with excellent bite. The white sauce was creamy and full-bodied without being runny, coating each strand evenly. The red sauce struck a lovely balance between acidity and sweetness -- bright but not sharp. The stuffed mushrooms were especially juicy and flavorful, releasing a savory broth with every bite. Tiramisu leaned slightly heavier on the liqueur, which I personally enjoyed -- bold, fragrant, and not overly sweet. Portions were very generous; the three of us couldn't finish everything and ended up packing two lunch-sized portions to go. Service was attentive and efficient without being intrusive. The dining room felt comfortable and relaxed -- classic Italian trattoria energy, warm and inviting. A meal that felt thoughtfully executed from start to finish. They've got indoor and outdoor seating and they seemed a touch understaffed for being a beautiful day. It was also a Tuesday lunchtime so maybe they weren't expecting it to be as busy as it was. We were able to prove the menu before we got seated. And our super friendly server came out and we were able to order right away. They've got a lunch special. That is a small personal pizza with a salad and we each got that. Salads came out first and I had the arugula salad, which was absolutely phenomenal. 10 of 10 would eat this every single day. The arugula was peppery and it was well dressed in a lemon vinaigrette type sauce. I am a fan of just plain lemon on mine, but this was delicious. My husband got a union salad, which is their specialty I guess. It's got colored carrots and some beets and some shallots. I thought the dressing was bland and it certainly needed salt and pepper. We asked for both and didn't get either. Our pieces came out and they were nice and woodfired. I feel like they could've been done just a little bit longer maybe a minute or two. The sauce was a lovely fresh type crushed tomato sauce. The cheese was nice and gooey and did not feel or taste like a package of processed cheese. Pepperonis were greasy, but in a real meat kind of way. I had to dab mine, but my husband just went to town on his. The pickled peppers is a pickled jalapeño. Big chunks of them. They certainly didn't skimp on any of the toppings. They were a little sweet and a little hot. Some of the big chunks were a little too sweet for my liking but overall, it was a nice flavor mix Also from a size standpoint, I thought the salad and pizza were very adequate for lunch at around $20 price point I asked for salt and pepper again as well as a side of ranch. This time we did get the salt and pepper as well as cheese and crushed red pepper. But we didn't get the ranch until we were leaving. The server did apologize and said he thought someone else was bringing it out but I pretty much deducted a star because we asked for a couple different things that never came. Overall, the service was super friendly, the ambience was nice for an outdoor lunch thought. I thought the menu looked delicious and there were several things I would like to come back and try and I would go back again.
