    Sausage burrito

Tucked inside chick n coop, this little cafe is a change of pace. Friendly service and clean! While I didn't order coffee, I saw that they had food. Not extensive by any means, but your basic breakfast fare of cold items and warm items. I ordered the sausage burrito and while it wasn't life changing, it hit the spot in needing something portable and breakfastsy. Fun thing was that when I asked for a cup of water, ice was added. The ice cubes were in a unique shape that reminded me of mini doughnuts instead of cubes. Cute.

This cafe and brunch spot opened a little more than a month ago. Only tried atypical breakfast items like donuts, bagel, pastries and fruit cups; everything was fine. A Nicaraguan spot from what I gather so will revisit to try their cuisine. Note this cafe located in the middle of a block, has metered street parking, and shares the same address as Chick N Coop (https://yelp.to/iNDLhYQrxqb).

Cherry danish and Mexican Mocha were delicious! Not a place to study, the cafe is attached to a diner so there was like a sour smell coming from the kitchen. I would definitely return if that improved.

    Sandwich Bagel

This place opened up near my house and my husband and I chose to try it out We were really craving sandwiches but they only had bagels and breakfast burritos, however, when we asked the lovely ladies they said they could make us sandwich bagels so they did and these were some of the most delicious ones we've ever had Everything was just amazing and it tasted so fresh Plus the customer service was great both of them were so nice and friendly Definitely check it out if you're around the area

I absolutely enjoyed the food and the ambiance…read more Pros: I loved every single dish I've ordered. The service was decent, not quick however some of the dishes were made to order. The waitresses were friendly, and were always smiling. I enjoyed the live DJ, I was grooving while waiting for my foods. You can request how you want your steak to be done. Cons: there's only one restroom. The juices especially the passion fruit juice was way too sweet for my liking. staff are limited in the English language. This is the Mission District you can't expect fine dining, just point to what you wanna order if you don't speak Spanish. I highly recommend that restaurant.

My friend ordered the "carne asada" plate that comes with rice and beans (or gallo pinto- rice and red beans mixed together) choice of sweet plantains or green plantains and fried Nicaraguan cheese. BUT, she was told there was no fried cheese. NO FRIED CHEESE? WHAT DO YOU MEAN NO FRIED CHEESE? A Nicaraguan restaurant with no fried cheese is like an Italian restaurant with no pasta. Or an Asian Restaurant with no rice. I thought...you're in the Mission where there is a plethora of Latin stores that sell it. Management: no excuses...send someone to go to one of these stores and get yourself a huge block of frying cheese if your restaurant ran out of inventory. She ordered green plantains and she got sweet plantains. The gallo pinto she said was salty. On to my order...I ordered the "nacatamale" which is the Nicaraguan tamale. I admit it was good. The masa on this dish determines if this dish is good and the masa on this one was good. Descent size and fixings inside. The waitress was cordial. However, I paid with a card and I wanted to add her tip on there and she said I could not. I don't carry cash and neither does my bestie so, thank goodness she had a few dollars and we explained to her that's all we had. Management please enable your customers to add the tip to the card. All in all, I don't think I'd hurry and come back. The thing is I know how to cook and I am quite particular about what is considered good food. This was just ok. At least I had a break from the kitchen. But that's about it.

My husband is Nicaraguan and we have gone back and visited many times, I am in love with the food and so sad we never had any local options nearby...Antojitos to the rescue! My husband cannot get enough of the Carne asada plate with Gallo Pinto (black beans and rice) and I could eat Queso Frito (fried cheese) all day long! My husband had recently been trying to describe a garnishment he used to have, that he misses and we found it here. He was so excited to finally show me what he had been talking about, Chilero (pickled onions and carrots), it was delicious on both the carne asada and the queso frito! Also took home a nacatamale (a nicaraguan tamale) for dinner and as we were leaving, I saw that they also have quesillo (a creamy white cheese wrapped in a warm tortilla and smothered in crema) - I am going to need to come back soon and get this as well! I was so obsessed with my plate that I forgot to take a picture, but I did get a picture of my Nacatamale I brought home...you can see the sauce and the banana leaves just wrapped around this treasure and perfectly packaged, so I can drop it in boiling water to heat it up.

Amazing service! Always friendly and the food is so authentic and yummy! Highly recommendread more
