Found a new breakfast spot to go to after I drop off the kid to school- down the street from Jefferson high school it shares a space with chick n coop. Breakfast Bagel portions are hefty and worth the $, the matcha was good and it was cute getting a little design of a heart on top. Happy endorphins triggered Lady there was so sweet - genuinely felt like my auntie when I'm waking up and asking me what I want for breakfast. I tried to get a breafast around 9am this past Saturday, before a community service event. Parked right outside, the door was open, three people were sitting down in the restaurant. I walked up to the counter, but no one was working there. I looked at the menu, kept standing at the counter. No one. I think I waited 3-4 mins, looked around to see if anyone sitting down wanted to tell me where the worker was. Finally I found a doughnut shop about a block away, and grabbed a less healthy but damn quicker option. When I returned to my car, I looked in this restaurant and still saw no one at the counter. Despite being a Sunday afternoon, there were several locals who came in for late lunch/early dinner. Side notes: 1.) 10-minute walk from Colma BART station 2.) Drinks were served in to-go cups for dine in. *Verdict: 4.5 stars rounded up to 5. Delicious drinks at budget friendly prices in a comfy setting. Staff were friendly and seemed like family. I visited a little hole-in-the-wall place inside a chicken coop (though that might not be the right name) and ordered a lox bagel with an iced oat latte. I have to say, the flavors were fantastic! The lox bagel had the perfect amount of cream cheese and salmon. I definitely recommend it. The iced oat latte tasted like real coffee, and I really enjoyed it--there's nothing I would change about it. I plan to try more items on the menu in the future. The service was very good; the staff was kind and welcoming. The ambiance is a bit slow, but I believe they are relatively new, if I'm not mistaken hopefully we can get a lot more foot traffic in here! read more

Tucked inside chick n coop, this little cafe is a change of pace. Friendly service and clean! While I didn't order coffee, I saw that they had food. Not extensive by any means, but your basic breakfast fare of cold items and warm items. I ordered the sausage burrito and while it wasn't life changing, it hit the spot in needing something portable and breakfastsy. Fun thing was that when I asked for a cup of water, ice was added. The ice cubes were in a unique shape that reminded me of mini doughnuts instead of cubes. Cute. read more

Hello Yelpers! Had the pleasure of visiting this eatery and have to say....glad I did. I tried their breakfast burrito with bacon. And my wife had the lox bagel. We also had a coffee and a caramel macchiato. Very tasty food and was neatly prepared. Food was a good and hot temperature. But not scalding. Our drinks were excellent too. Carmel macchiato was delicious with the foam and swirl. Would like to compliment the cashier/ server Isabel who was friendly, courteous and spoke clearly and eloquently. Bagel was stale, lox and the rest was ok, latte was not good. Cafe is old, rundown. Lady was cold and rude, for example I asked for a cup and paper to catch a giant wasp on the front window where I was sitting, she handed me the cup and looked away before I even took it, no appreciation for doing this for her, and just generally not friendly and definitely not welcoming... A Nicaraguan spot from what I gather so will revisit to try their cuisine. Went here on a Sunday morning to pick up breakfast and a coffee. The service was great she was very nice and welcoming, i got a breakfast burrito and a bagel to share. They were both good but definitely needed some hot sauce if you like a lot of flavor. The house latte was good and they have a lot of options to add flavorings if needed read more
