    Egg Panini

Came into Fog City on a Saturday morning. This is a small place with a handful of tables but they were kind to let us push 2 together for our family of 5. The atmosphere of this restaurant is very calm and peaceful with soft lighting. Decor is warm and minimalist. Food was delicious! We ordered at the counter and they brought out the food to our table. The person taking the order was very kind to answer our questions and make recommendations. We ordered: the Baleada (homemade tortilla with beans, meat and cheese-very yummy comfort food) which came with a side of potatoes, the French toast, and Egg Panini with bacon. My son ordered a Horchata Frappe-he thought it was ok but too heavy on the star anise. I really liked this small, intimate cafe and would definitely come again if I was in the area!

Got the pork and bean and cheese pupusas! Came out hot and fresh. A little thin and also with filling but it's ok. Service was kind and quick. Place is small but good enough seating, with a sofa in the front. They have a TV playing too which was nice.

Had to move my car for street cleaning this morning and decided to get some avocado toast $6.50. Fog City Cafe's avocado toast doesn't come with an egg or house potatoes $4.50. I ordered the potatoes but forgot about the egg. This tasted OK while they didn't actually serve me "toast." It was white bread, untoasted, served with avocado slices, tomato and arugula lettuce. Avocado toast tastes better if the avocado was mashed or made into guacamole. Knowing I would be hungry later, I also got a grilled cheese sandwich $4. This was good. There's a choice of cheddar or Swiss cheese. This dish would be great with tomato soup but not available here. My food came out in 10 minutes after ordering at 10am on a Thursday.

Stumbled upon this neighborhood mom and pop cafe as I was finishing up some grocery shopping nearby in the morning. You order and pay at the counter and they'll bring you your dish if you want to dine in. There is metered street parking at the front, but you can find residential parking on the side streets. The ambiance of the cafe was simple, warming and welcoming; a quiet and relaxing vibe. Service overall was great and dish came out decently fast. They cleaned up pretty quickly as well when a table was finished. I wanted something a bit light so I opted for: 1) American Omelette(6.5/10)(~$12) - A decent and light breakfast plate. The omelette was a thin egg omelette a bit of a departure from your usual diner fare. The ham wasn't diced either, it was just 1-2 deli sliced ham placed in between with your choice of cheese(provolone, cheddar or swiss). For sides, you can either get a salad or potatoes. I went with the potatoes and they were grilled really well and seasoned just right. It also came with a sliced wheat bread. It was an okay dish, but if you want something more filling, I would try something else. 2) Drip Coffee(Small)(7/10)($2.75) - Just your usual house coffee. Overall, taste was good without it being overly bitter. A adequate cup of coffee that will wake you up in the morning. Price was very reasonable as well. 3) Pupusas(5.5/10)($4.50) - I ordered a pupusa to go as I wanted to give it a try for lunch. It was an okay pupusa; I ordered the chorizo one....but couldn't really find it in the pupusa when I got home. Just refried beans. It was freshly made though since it took awhile to get it. The pupusas aren't on the menu in the cafe, but it is written on the board outside. It came with a bag of mild salsa and a bag veggies on the side. Overall, I've had better pupusas on the Mission and would skip this. A decent neighborhood spot to grab a quick bite if in the area!

Super considerate and nice staff/family with a very relaxed vibe inside! Food ranges from Paninis to Enchiladas, tried both all great

What a cute little cafe! Visited for the first time on a Friday morning, and it wasn't bustling as others have noted (could be due to not being the weekend?), so I was helped right away. Located in a rather dense part of Daly City, but with a little effort, you can find a spot to park. NOTE: There are meters on Mission Street that only take quarters! You order at the counter, then take a seat. Nice variety on the menu, both breakfast and lunch items (eggy thangs & goodness between bread). A couple of Latin items. A small choice of baked goods and a self-serve water station. Ordered "The Scrambled" w/ ham and cheddar, potatoes... no choice on toast, just straight unbuttered wheat, so you'll need to request butter if you want some. Also got a large latte which was delicious! Everything was brought to me, which was nice. Only saw one staffer up front (they weren't busy), and she was super friendly and upbeat. Can't believe I haven't been here before, but I will be back as I'd like to try the Baleada, which is egg, bean, and cheese in a tortilla... simple, but looks tasty. Also, prices were very reasonable! Go, go, GO!

The food is delicious, home made feel but up to par to any restaurant style breakfast! Service is great quick and friendly. Ambiance is homey yet modern café style. Clean and spacious. Overall great experience and surprising experience!

Fog City Cafe is such a hidden gem in Daly City, a true hole in the wall that feels like your friendly neighborhood mom and pop spot. Definitely one of my favorite places to grab breakfast. Their coffee menu has all the usuals you expect from a good cafe, and everything I have tried has been solid. They also have fun specialty drinks like horchata frappes, but I usually stick to a latte, and it always hits the spot. I have made my way through a few things on the menu like the French toast, enchilada breakfast plate, California sandwich which are all really good. But my personal favorite is the egg panini. The ambience is warm and laid back, with a few tables for dining in. It's not too hard to grab a seat. Parking is street parking, but I have never had trouble finding a spot. Overall, a great local spot for breakfast or brunch, and one I keep coming back to. Highly recommend!

Hope its not a weird combo but I'm weird & hungry. I was searching a place that had avo toast & oatmeal. And I was scrolling on Doordash, being indecisive & i found a place that had what I was looking for.....(drumroll), Fog City Cafe! The picture provided for Oatmeal didnt look appetizing but I was hoping for the best. As for avocado toast, I need to have tomatoes on mine & egg. When it arrived, and opened it up a chorus was singing in my head w/ such glory. Oatmeal- hot, touch of sweetness w/honey provided & strawberries, banana, raisins. Avocado toast w/ shredded greens, sliced grape tomatoes and I ordered a side of egg that was perfectly cooked & i topped that on the toast. When i took a bite it was soo savory due to the runny yoke so satisfying!!! It kinda reminded me of that scene in Spanglish when Adam Sandler made a sandwich w/the runny egg yolk but he never got a chance to eat it, sad moment. But i will order this again, soo yum & comforting.

Stumbled across this place with my friend and it was a great spot to eat and do some work at. Theres a lot of seats with outlets and also a couch. The food was a good portion and definitely will be coming back. The servers also brought the food to our table which I thought was a really nice touch!

I always come to fog city for a cool little breakfast or brunch when I visit SF! Im actually here right now and forgot I was writing this my last visit! It's just that good I felt the need to let everyone know again haha! The best parts of fog city are the service, they are always super nice and cool to everyone, the food has such good flavor and looks great, and its in a nice spot, my love and I usualy find parking pretty fast. The coffe is cool too, im not to picky myself but its not bad! :) Come eat here its yummy you wont be bummed on your experience!

I have been here about 4 times since 2019. The food and coffee is great. I've tried the baleadas and enchiladas, and they've been really good. The staff are nice. However, it can get pretty busy.

Absolutely delicious food. Not only do they great customer service but their food is well seasoned and cooked to perfection. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Just a note, they do get really busy on the weekends & they have shared tables so id you're not into that, come early! We ordered the Bangkok Golden, Jok Crispy Rice Porridge, Two Eggs with Bacon & Toast, and the Fried Chicken & Waffle. The Bangkok Golden was definitely my favorite. It was really flavorful and came with a salad and rice. The portion was also pretty generous. The Jok Crispy Rice Porridge was also really good and unique. It had great flavor and was something a little different from the usual brunch dishes. The Two Eggs with Bacon & Toast was good, but nothing special. We also enjoyed the Fried Chicken & Waffle, although it took quite a bit longer to come out than the rest of our food, probably 10-15 minutes after everything else, which was a little inconvenient. Service was good overall, but a little inconsistent between our visits. The first time we came, our waiter was super nice and even brought our daughter a toddler plate and utensils without us asking. The second time, we had two toddlers with us and didn't receive those, and the service felt a little less attentive. Overall, though, the food was really good and flavorful, and we'd definitely come back to try more of the menu! It is a little on the pricier side, but everything is expensive nowadays.

You normally get served country potatoes or hashbrowns, but this comes with Thai fried rice. The perfect accompaniment to the oozy egg and juicy steak.

That's right, 40 minutes AFTER our reservation. Why? Because they refused to tell the table they'd been seated at that there was a reservation waiting and they needed it back. We followed up multiple times and most of the group was ready to leave. Their answer was "oh, we can't tell them to leave." But that party had already paid 30 minutes prior at 7:50. The best they could do was clear the table so the other party would "get a clue." That was absolutely unacceptable. I've been told to leave a table before because my time was up. I get it. When you're with a large group, you catch up and lose track of time. Totally understandable. But if the restaurant won't do anything to enforce it, why allow reservations at all? That said, if you think you have all the time in the world and don't mind sitting down way later than your scheduled time, go ahead and try this place. If you value your time, don't bother. Does the food make up for it? Absolutely not. I ordered the linguini with clams and the noodles were super dry. Sauce was nowhere to be found. Same issue for others at my table who ordered pasta. The carbonara, which should also be saucy, had no sauce either. And for my linguini, what little sauce there was tasted incredibly sour. Not savory at all. Others who tried it agreed. On top of that, the clams had sand. Overall, a failure of a dish. So would I come back? For what? The service wasn't good and neither was the food. Absolutely not. You've been warned.
