This is the place to go more so for the beautiful view and not the food. You can see the famous layout of the house on cliffs and the sea in the distance. The octopus I shared as an appetizer was pretty tender. I had the grilled calamari as the main meal which was chewy and slightly cold but still decent. Service was fairly slow and not quite hospitable but that's due to the culture of service in Italy since tips are not expected. The limoncello spritz and lemon sorbet were the redeeming parts of the meal. If you're a tourist searching for good pics, this is your go to. read more

Great views overlooking Positano beach. We had to wait for dinner because all the tables were full so they offered complimentary champagne while we waited. Once we were seated the service was decent. One star because our first dining experience was actually good, the price is reasonable compared to other restaurants in the area and I actually liked my dish. The second time around the staff were super friendly in the beginning. We had the same waiter and it was all fine until in the middle of talking he used his fingers to slant his eyes and then pointed at my eyes saying "your eyes" and then proceeded to slant his eyes with his fingers again. I said "Please don't ever do that again" and the whole mood changed from there. Sea bass for 23 Euros was so fishy tasting that we could not eat it. When I let the waiter know, he claimed that we ate it so it couldn't have been too fishy. We also had a steak dish that had a strong wine flavor - the wine had not cooked off. They also served bottled water in a flask so while it may be bottled water, this is the only place that served it this way in Italy so for all we know, it was tap water. Don't get sucked into the tourist traps like Buca de Bacca down on the beach (garbage) walk up the hill for better food. CP gave us an unforgettable evening. I made b-day reservations for my wife one day in advance with the very nice and funny hostess. They put together an amazing evening. We had a beautiful private table overlooking Positano with fresh cut flowers on the table. The proscuitto and mozzarella was the best we had on our entire trip. The main courses were very good. I am surprised by the other reviews. My husband and I came here after spending 4 nights in Rome and eating at amazing local restaurants. We arrived very late in Positano and very hungry. Both offer a very romantic setting at sunset - perfect for couples. Food was good, prices were ok. A little higher than what we had experienced other places, but not ridiculous. The food was great, the service was friendly and efficient and the views/atmosphere was perfect. After having our table (with the best view) for 2 1/2 hours they kindly asked us if we would mind moving across the street so they could seat the next guests while we finished our drinks.
