My wife got the bacon breakfast and I assume she loved it as she didn't say a word while digging in. My father in law got the Rueben, with sweet potato fries. He absolutely grubbed it. He asked for the fries extra crispy and they came out perfect. For a little place off the 108, in Mi Wii....its a little gem. It feels like a country kitchen and they do not skimp on serving. Was there an inside? A quick tip: you'll need a key to access the restrooms. I noticed several people walk over only to discover the door was locked, so I made sure to ask for the key. According to their website, this place has a fascinating history--it once served as a miner's supply store before becoming a hotel. I believe there are still rooms available, as I noticed you can reserve cabins with twin and queen beds. While I might not stay in a cabin myself, I would definitely return for the food.

They have a good amount of seating outside as well as inside too. We ordered the Biscuits and Gravy, Priest Skillet and Kids Pancakes and Fruit. Everything was pretty good and fresh! Coffee was good too! Other menu items included Steak and Eggs, Omelets, a Breakfast Burrito, Pancakes and even French Toast. They had a decent kids menu as well. Staff were also very friendly and personable. Bathrooms needed a key since anyone off the highway can stop in and use them, but they were clean. From what I understand, their business can be up and down, so you never quite know how much they'll have out. They're trying not to waste food, which I can appreciate. That said, I really liked the vibe of the place. It's warm and inviting, and it seems like a great stop on your way to Yosemite -- especially if you want coffee and something sweet. We picked up a cookie, and it was very good. They also had sourdough cookies, which sounded interesting, but we didn't get to try them. Maybe next time. The whole thing was messy and fell apart. Had to eat with a knife and fork and unfortunately it wasn't appetizing at that point. The potato salad was also really creamy which some may like but I think we prefer a less creamy, more potato-ish forward salad. My son really enjoyed his BLT though, so there's that! I may just stick to drinks if I were to return to this place unless they revamp their recipes.

Not long after, a gentleman came out with the food (I believe he is the other owner) and it looked amazing! The plate was loaded, it came with two perfectly cooked eggs on top and an aioli drizzle that was so tasty. On top of all this, the meal included one of their scratch made biscuits, and the owner/chef gave me some of their gravy to try, on the house! Both the corned beef hash and the biscuit were hands down the best I've ever had. The breakfast potatoes were also cooked to perfection. The portion was almost enough for two people it was so generous. The only thing that would have made the experience 110% would have been fresh squeezed orange juice, but that's just cause I love fresh OJ. I (and my dog) ate like royalty and were treated to the best service I've experienced in a long time.
