If you are looking to escape the park crowds and enjoy some incredible, home-cooked comfort food, this is the spot to stop! We stumbled across this wonderful diner just outside Yosemite and it completely exceeded our expectations. The menu is packed with so many delicious options--everything we ordered tasted like a warm, comforting home-cooked meal made with love. What made the experience even better was the wait time turning into a highlight: they have an amazing gift shop attached! We had the best time browsing through unique souvenirs while waiting for our table. It gives you that perfect mix of cozy, down-home comfort combined with the excitement of a Yosemite road trip. Beyond the fantastic food and fun shopping, the service was truly exceptional. The staff went above and beyond, and the ladies working there were so sweet--they even made great friendships with my son while we were there, making us feel right at home. Thank you for such a memorable stop on our trip. We will definitely be back every time we head up to the park!

Stopped at this little cafe, as it was the only food option open near our hotel (Firefall Ranch). It's a great place to stop on the way to/from Yosemite, too. FOOD: got a BLTA (bacon, lettuce, tomato, turkey, avocado) sandwich. It was good, but nothing particularly special. My partner didn't care for his Reuben because it had too much sauerkraut. My kids shared a grilled cheese sandwich. The bread was definitely a whole wheat, like you could taste the grains. I think a smooth wheat would've been better. Overall, decent amount of options.. SERVICE: this is where this place shined. Charity was our waitress and she was awesome! I am not easily impressed, but she definitely impressed me. She went above and beyond. She printed coloring sheets for my kids. When my picky daughter was let down by goofy, she went and got Daisy Duck to make her happy. She was attentive, but not overbearing or annoying. She deserves to be recognized and I hope this place appreciates her! Wish there were more people like her :) INSIDE: [[HIGHLIGHT]]relatively roomy. There's a bar side and the restaurant side with some diner bar-style seating too.. so various seating options.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They have a small "gift shop" in the middle/center, right when you walk in. Prices seemed reasonable. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I liked that there was something to look at while waiting for food.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] OUTSIDE: decent sized parking lot. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's a cat named Terminator out front. It let us pet it, but didn't appear to approach people so no need to be afraid of it lol.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Stayed at the lodge next door over the weekend, and went here for dinner and breakfast. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Classic diner vibes - friendly and attentive staff, rustic decor, local beers on tap.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We got the salmon plates, and meatloaf for dinner. Salmon was cooked to perfection, and the accompanying herb butter was delectable. The meatloaf had an enjoyable balance of meat, breadcrumbs, and garlic. The gravy that came with mashed potatoes was lit. The soups of the day- tomato bisque/beef barley were great appetizers on a cold night. The next morning we got a spicy omelette, the pancake breakfast, and french toast. No complaints. The omelette came with spicy salsa, and was peppered with tangy jalapenos. The french toast/pancakes were both fluffy as hell. The sausage patties were cooked delightfully. Service was great as the previous night. 10/10 will stop here next time I go to Yosemite.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Such a cozy spot to unwind and enjoy dinner after a long day of hiking.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The menu has a wide variety of options, and the soups are perfect for chilly weather! Service is attentive and friendly. The price is very reasonable considering the location. They also sell Yosemite goodies (socks, hats, etc), which is awesome since the visitor center was closed during our visit! So glad to have the Lucky Buck next to our hotel!

Eaten here twice recently! Once on the way out of yosemite and most recently on the way out. Firstly, there is a lot of parking and even EV parking available on the lot. Secondly, there is a WHOLE VEGETARIAN MENU! Both times I had a Beyond meat vegetarian burger - once a regular cheese and the other time one of the other burgers with the veggie patty switched in. So delicious and their french fries are 10/10. The meat eaters also LOVED their beef burgers - a huge hit. The restauratn itself is quite big, has a small shop for souvenirs too. Eating in - this was in July, we were seated but it took ages for a sever to approach us. Servers were walking by the chatting with other guests and it took awhile to get our order taken. Order for pick up - this weekend we ordered for pick up, calling 15 mins before arrival and when we got there we got our food made within a few minutes. Again the food was AMAZING and very helpful staff. I would definitely be back again its such a great place to eat after or before a big hiking adventure.

Food was good. Some was made there. Some was bought. The chicken friend steak was good. The gravy was packaged in my option. It reminded me of the McCormick mix you buy in the store. The onion rings were great and fresh. The pretzel sticks were good but obviously not made there. The service was really good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere was good too.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Great place to stop when you just got out of Yosemite.

    Fun to experience!

We were staying at the Westgate hotel (next-door) so this was a convenient location before heading out to Hetch Hetchy dam. This is a very busy café, but it has a comfortable old-fashioned atmosphere and capable staff. There is a section in the middle of the café where they sell various souvenirs too! :) The food quality is similar to what you would find in a diner. Nothing fancy, but it does the job. My husband enjoyed his meatloaf and I thought this was a place worth checking out! I enjoyed the experience. FYI the old gold rush 'Chinese Camp' and Chinese Market (open for business), is not too far from here and worth a stop for the history!

We stayed right next door while visiting Yosemite and this was very convenient for a hot breakfast. Staff was quick, efficient and friendly as we placed our take out orders. We ordered: Two eggs scrambled with potatoes and toast Two eggs over hard with potatoes and toast California omelet Everything was great. My favorite was the California omelet which had pickled jalapenos (I'd say it was the extra oomph factor!) along with onions and tomatoes and a side of salsa and sour cream. We liked the food on day 1 so we returned for day 2. Would recommend even if we weren't staying next door to it. Hot tip: they also have a store front if you're looking for Yosemite souvenirs like the extra cute magnet we purchased!

    So sweet!

My brother and sister-in-law treated us to dinner at Lucky Buck while we were visiting. The food was so good! My cheeseburger was so big that I took half of it home. The fries were so good too. The best part of the dining experience was a cute little girl named Aliyah who was "helping out" in there. She was delightful! She kept us entertained and even drew me a picture to take home- thank you Aliyah! I would definitely go back- the food was tasty and there was plenty of it. Great experience all in all!

Perfect stop after a very long day in Yosemite. Staff was kind and attentive, food hit the stop after a long day and kids were happy. What more could you ask for? Burgers were perfect. steak was great The atmosphere was hot out of the park starving ready for local food.

She had us laughing, remembered everyone's orders without missing a beat, and when we wanted to add something at the last minute, she got it in right before the breakfast cutoff. That kind of quick thinking and warmth is rare, and it made the morning feel easy and fun for the whole group. Tanner took care of us at dinner and was equally impressive. Polite and attentive, he checked on us often and kept everything running smoothly even with a full docket and several family parties in his section. Juggling that many tables while making each one feel looked after is no small feat, and he handled it with real composure. Both were fun, flexible, and quick -- the kind of servers who make you want to come back. Thank you!

We're a captive audience staying at an expensive hotel, I get that things will cost more. For breakfast though, coffee is $12 for a "French press for 2". 2 mugs are provided and you'd be quite lucky to get a mug and a half of coffee out of it. Also the coffee is not great but that's a different issue. $12 for 2 people to feel like they didn't get much coffee is a bummer. Also we got the lox bagel one morning. It was an open face lox sandwich ON HALF A BAGEL. I asked the server, surely a mistake, where is the other half bagel? Menu suggests "a bagel", which would suggest an item totaling a single bagel. The server fought the good fight with their GM and got us another half a bagel. Such a bizarre thing. I get that food costs are high and all, but in that environment you can charge a little more and ensure customers don't feel like they're being squeezed. It's ok to be expensive and generous (at a luxury resort). It's not ok to be pretty expensive and stingy. My tip, grab a coffee at the shop next to the lobby, and a bagel there too while you're at it.

My partner and her daughter shared either a skillet or an omelet; I don't quite remember since I didn't take a picture. Regardless, we were all satisfied with our meals and ready to continue our adventure. The service was friendly and efficient. I didn't even get to check out inside the restaurant. Was there an inside? A quick tip: you'll need a key to access the restrooms. I noticed several people walk over only to discover the door was locked, so I made sure to ask for the key. According to their website, this place has a fascinating history--it once served as a miner's supply store before becoming a hotel. Parking was easy to find, but may be challenging if you're not staying at the connected Yosemite Bug Inn and if it's busy. We ordered at the counter and were given a metal number card. The gentleman at the counter was friendly and patient with us as we decided what to order. We enjoyed coconut water and kombucha for our drinks. We didn't wait long for our food to arrive at our table outside. This is what we ordered: * Chocolate cream pie - it was chocolatey with a thin shortbread crust. Just the right amount of sweet for us. * Chipotle chicken quesadilla - I tasted a small piece and thought it was flavorful. They put a generous amount of cheese. * Bombay sandwich - Warm vegetarian sandwich with potatoes and other veg with what tasted like a pesto or vinegar based sauce. We noticed it was often the same staff working multiple days. The ambiance was really nice, with a mix of travelers and foreigners since the resort also functions as a hostel. I arrived a few minutes before they opened, so sat outside with my dog. At opening time, a women (I believe one of the owners) opened the front door with TWO big pieces of bacon in her hands, and excitedly asked if she could give them to my dog! Already blown away by the kindness and hospitality, I of course said 'yes' and my dog was in heaven. The inside looked cozy and inviting, but I sat outside (dog) and ordered the smoked corned beef hash and an orange juice. Not long after, a gentleman came out with the food (I believe he is the other owner) and it looked amazing! The plate was loaded, it came with two perfectly cooked eggs on top and an aioli drizzle that was so tasty. On top of all this, the meal included one of their scratch made biscuits, and the owner/chef gave me some of their gravy to try, on the house! Both the corned beef hash and the biscuit were hands down the best I've ever had. The breakfast potatoes were also cooked to perfection. The portion was almost enough for two people it was so generous. The only thing that would have made the experience 110% would have been fresh squeezed orange juice, but that's just cause I love fresh OJ. I (and my dog) ate like royalty and were treated to the best service I've experienced in a long time. I can't wait to find myself in the Coulterville area again, because I'm sure the rest of The Copperpot's menu is equally delicious, and the people there are the best.

Even though it was late on a Tuesday the patio was still busy. We got a nice table outside because it was a beautiful day and we had our GSD with us. PROTIP: We took the option to split each dish by the kitchen and although it cost a couple bucks more, you get a little more of everything! The burrito was "wet" and delicious! Lots of flavor fresh ingredients and very saucy. Only thing it lacked was a little heat. Ask for tapatio if you like a little spice. When the dish was placed before me the bread slid to the other side of the white dish that had no other accompanying garnish like a piece of lettuce or parsley. It was one, maybe a 2" x 5" very thin piece of sourdough toast. Hardly a snack. Bacon was obviously cooked hours before and very overcooked. This dish was hardly appetizing as it was covered by three slices of very crispy bacon which fell to the side, revealing about four microscopic chips of tomato and 4 of avocado. The avocado was over ripe and black and I could barely see the yellow tomato. I was very disappointed in the visual appearance of this dish, to say the least! And the ingredients were barely present to illicit any flavor. I was given silverware, but upon trying to cut the toast the whole thing fell apart. I pieced it together and used my hands. Now, I know fresh food items are expensive, but this item in no way warranted the price of $16.75! I do not recommend this very busy, seemingly popular eatery.
