So happy to have an amazing new restaurant in town! The food is outstanding, the best in town. So many different cocktails and drinks to choose from, and the atmosphere and staff are always great. Looking forward to dining here more often!

Sat for about 10 minutes. No greeting. No so menu. No nothing. Definitely will not be coming back to this part of town.

What a hidden gem!…read more While everyone is rushing to the oldest salon across the street, this nice restaurant at the first floor of the hotel is relatively empty and we were quick to snatch our table for a Friday dinner. Service was a bit slow but pleasant, totally a small town ambiance without the rush. The decoration was cozy with a full size bar and you see the hotel's front desk lounge from across. The menu is amazing with good quality and reasonable prices! Their top 2 dishes are the Little Rooster and the Wine & Bone Ossobuco. The Little Rooster was beautifully stacked on in layers of pistachio-crusted chicken breast seared in EVOO with prosciutto, mozzarella, over creamy red potato mash and topped with apple vinaigrette salad. The taste was so complex and the chicken was so juicy that I couldn't believe it's the chicken breast. The prosciutto in the middle came as a nice surprise (I did not read the menu but was captivated by the dish when a waiter was delivering it to another table) and the portion and taste puts it well above the price tag of $25. I was so elated biting into it. The Wine & Bone Ossobuco in contrast is slightly less satisfying as the meat portion was smaller than what I used to get, but we are paying $30 here vs $45 in the Bay Area. The taste is consistent to what a wine braised ossobuco is. We also tried the wagyu burger that came with a red looking sauce that I thought was spicy but it was actually sweet and sour and had a good balance for the burger patty. The personal size salad was also good in taste and size. Overall we couldn't stop talking about the food for our entire weekend trip to Yosemite. It looks like they have an extensive beer, wine and cocktail menu as well. I strongly recommend this place!

I love it here and definitely want to come back!…read more I stopped in with some friends for a drink before our reservation across the street, we had the best experience leaving me eager for my next visit. The drinks were so good and the menu looked amazing too! They have so many options to choose from, perfect place to share a few bites with a group. Very cute inside, we sat at the bar but they have tables as well as a patio too.

The setup itself is just weird; you have to stand outside and wait for someone to come out to seat you. When you go inside, its small and has kind of a "bar meets saddam hussein's palace" kind of vibe, there is gold everywhere in here. Not to mention its a bar that has been converted into a restaurant, its separated by the check-in desk by drapery. One good point is that all of the staff is very friendly and attentive, although I think our waitress had to cover every table in the place, which seems kind of not great for her! We started with some drinks, they were both good, no complaints there. After they came we ordered our food, we ordered them one at a time. First up was the bacon wrapped dates. These were pretty good, the bacon was cooked well and had some good crisp, it paired well with the dates and cheese inside. The walnut was kind of weird and my wife and I both thought for a second the date pit hadn't been removed. Next we got the corn empanadas, these were disappointing but not awful. The dough was cooked fine but it has absolutely no flavor, like nothing at all. The filling was also cooked ok, the corn had good texture, but similarly, had no flavor, about the only thing I could tint was a tiny bit of cilantro. Once you dip it in the sauce that comes with it, things improve, but we both felt the empanadas should be able to stand on their own. The last tapas item we got was the costillas al ajillo, these were both disappointing AND awful. They are advertised as "fall off the bone fried rib tips, garlic infused olive oil, crisp garlic chips" The only thing crispy about this was the meat itself, it was incredibly dry and had no flavor. There was a little bit of olive oil and some minced garlic, but not "crispy garlic chips". Credit where credits due they took if off the bill, but it was just incredibly bad. We finished with the chocolate flan which was quite good, no complaints there. All in all it was disappointing and I don't know that we would come back.

We stopped in just before 6:00 and we're greeted by a friendly woman getting the restaurant ready for opening. We later came to find out she was an owner. She was so sweet and offered to seat us before the servers actually showed up, as they had worked a local event that day. The waitress soon came and our wonderful experience began. They have a great wine list and wine cocktails. We ordered three dishes and were pleased with the presentation and flavors. Pica-Pau - a traditional Portuguese dish with beef and spices in a delicious broth. It's served with bread for soaking up the broth. I really enjoyed this dish, especially the broth. Crostini di Mare - shrimp on crostini's with a tangy garlicky sauce on top. This was my favorite and I wouldn't hesitate to order this again. Sea Legs - octopus over a sweet potato mash. This was tasty as well and the octopus was cooked perfectly. The sweet potato mash is divine!! We also had a Caprese salad, pretty average, but nice presentation. The outdoor seating area is comfortable and so nice to people watch on the main drag. We really enjoyed ourselves and plan to go back next time we visit. The service is excellent, portions in line with tapas and atmosphere is great.

Andre, the owner, showed us class and hospitality and was helpful and attentive. Michelle, the chef, was extremely classy and served us delicious food with finesse. There's a huge selection of international wines to choose from. My mom ordered the Moscatel dessert wine and I ordered the White Blend from Spain. I enjoyed my wine and if you're a sweet tooth, dessert wine is the way to go! We ordered the Spicy Moroccan Lamb Meatballs with some cornbread and really enjoyed it! I do think the dishes are slightly on the pricier side, but the quality and finesse of the dishes makes them definitely worth it. Our meatballs were so soft and tasty. And we couldn't help but finish all the leftover sauce it came with by dipping our bread in it! I enjoy the vibe of the inside. I love all the blue dim lighting and there's even a small stage for folks to perform on busier nights. The patio is in a prime spot if you wanna enjoy the sidewalk vibes, especially on a Friday/Saturday night or on Thursday's if downtown is hosting a street fair! Def coming back!

When we arrived, the restaurant was lively and buzzing with energy. We were promptly seated at our table and began looking over the menu. To start, I ordered a mocktail while my two girlfriends ordered cocktails. We decided that we were just going to order a variety of tapas and share them, which is exactly why I picked this restaurant. All in all, we ended up ordering the croquettes, the garlic shrimp, the empanadas of the day (which were potato and cheese), the patatas bravas, and a pork dish that I don't remember the name. Eat and every dish was absolutely delicious and bursting with flavor. So if you find yourself in the mood for some tapas and want a wonderful, lively atmosphere, come check out Tapa the World.

We were welcomed by Laurie (who is phenomenal) upon arrival, seated right away, and we ordered drinks after viewing their menus along with the food and drink specials. I enjoyed the delicious potato and shrimp Peruvian special, which was incredible, and my husband devoured their rigatoni Alfredo. The wine, food and awesome staff made this first visit so memorable, and I mentioned that I had already planned a return visit for my upcoming birthday. The first thing I thought was, "I could easily come here alone, grab a glass of wine or a beer, watch part of a game, and just relax for a while." They had the NBA game on at the bar, but it didn't overpower or distract from the atmosphere of the restaurant itself. The dining room is made up of small tables with couples and friends quietly enjoying their meals and conversations. It has that kind of warm, comfortable energy that makes you want to slow down a little, settle in, and stay longer than you planned. Not every restaurant has to be loud or trendy to stand out. Sometimes a cozy, welcoming atmosphere and a good meal are enough. Definitely check this place out.
