Came to Cafe Europa for a late bite on Valentine's Day and it absolutely lived up to the occasion. I ordered my favorite items -- the best espresso martini and their chicken francese. The chicken is lightly coated in the most delicate egg batter, and the lemon sauce is incredibly flavorful and perfectly reduced. My friend got the tortellini and everyone loved it. My boyfriend ordered a shrimp pasta dish that was also tasty. For dessert, I had the tiramisu -- it was very good, though I personally prefer it a little more alcohol-forward. Caffe Europa transported me to Italy. I was walking with my family and we wanted something delicious without having to wait to be seated. We walked across cafe Europa and decided to give it a try. I loved the decorations inside the restaurant. It has fantastic pictures of iconic places in Italy. Our waiter was also very friendly. He was prompt at getting our order and making sure we were enjoying our experience. The food was amazing. I'm still thinking of the pomodoro pasta and burrata appetizer. This is my favorite ever Italian restaurant. Everytime my family comes here it feels like coming home. Not only is the food phenomenal: their veal is so tender and delicious and their sauce is flavorful and amazing, but the service is great and makes you feel so special. My first visit to Cafe Europa. Four of us had dinner on a Monday and I was impressed at the crowd. By 7pm almost every table inside was taken and the bar was full. Europa has a dedicated and faithful following. I ordered the Carpricciosa pizza ( ham, artichoke hearts, green olives, mushrooms, plum tomato sauce and mozzarella). The crust was extra thin and crispy. The pizza was hot and scrumptious. The green olives add a nice salty flavor to the pie. It had the perfect amount of tomato sauce. 10/10. My partner ordered the Las Olas pizza. He loved his as well. Our guests each ordered pasta. One had penne alla vodka and the other had a tortellini special. It was a grand slam - everybody loved their dish. This place does Italian food right! I plan to return for lunch and try a pasta and give a further review. We love Caffe Europa as this is a very special place. We have been coming here since they opened in the 1990's. Years ago, we come for a cappuccino and espresso and pastries and sit in the patio on a nice afternoon. Then we started to dine here for dinner when we moved closer to Las Olas. It has become one of our favorite Italian restaurants in the area! The atmosphere is cozy yet lively. Located in the heart of Las Olas Boulevard where you can park behind the restaurant unless you get lucky with spot out front. I love the bread they place on the table immediately after you're seated. Freshly made and some small squares with sauce = delicious! Some of our favorite dishes are the calamari, rapini and sausage, caprese, rigatoni bolognese, lasagna bolognese, spaghetti vongole, chicken and veal Milanese, tortellini panna, eggplant parmigiana, pasta alla vodka! Desserts are homemade and incredible. I have learned to view the pastry dessert display window to help in my decision. My favorite is the blueberry tarts! There's something about the spicy rigatoni at Caffe Europa that's special. I'm not sure what it is... Yeah, it's delicious with the right amount of spicy. The rigatoni is somehow always the proper al dente. Absolutely the staff always has great wine recommendations (no matter what you order -- but you should try the spicy rigatoni). During our Las Olas Pub Crawl we needed a pick me up and walked in and sat at the bar met with the fabulous barista Rafael. When we sat down they bright over some cheese bread that was like cut up pizza and it was SOOOOOOOOO good, we asked for more and they brought more over no problem! I rarely ever leave bad reviews but the treatment that my mom and I received this weekend at Cafe Europa was so shocking that I wanted to take the time to write this. I brought my mom to Cafe Europa for desserts and drinks before going next door to candle in for mother's Day. My mom is in a wheelchair but she was all grammed up with a fancy dress that she had just bought for the occasion for girls night out for mother's Day. Upon our arrival at 530 we were offered a seat outside, in the corner against the wall in the heat. Keep in mind more than half the restaurant was empty inside and out. When we asked to sit inside due to the heat we were once again placed in a corner behind the wall near the bathroom. We looked at the drink menus and asked the server for a desert menu. We got up and walked over to the desert counter to look at the desserts. At that time we were approached by the manager who sat us twice in the corner to tell us that they don't allow people to come for desert- it's for a full dinner required. I explained that we would just be here a little while and have drinks and desert and go to our mother's day thing. He pushed back stating that it was a Saturday night and that's not what they allow etc but "he guesses he will make an exception" . I pointed out that we were paying customers and half the restaurant was empty. I also stated that I had my bachelorette party there 22 years ago and have been coming ever since. He was rude. I was so offended that we got up and left. On our way out he was expanding out loud in front of the whole restaurant "people just don't understand! You see in 30 minutes this place will be packed! Just come back in 30 minutes you'll see". Really? As if after being shoved in a corner twice and being told that we were not spending enough we should come back?? And where is the empathy. It's crystal clear and explicitly artivchkated that I'm a daughter brining my mom for a quick drink and desert before candle land next door. She was so excited, bought a beautiful dress and a gold silk scarf. I can't remember the last time I was this insulted. I highly recommend you read the restaurant book "unreasonable hospitality". One thing is for sure, you lost customers of many decades and mostly. You lost my respect as a person. read more

My husband and I visited Caffe Europa on a Saturday night around 8 PM. While there was no wait, we were seated at the last available table as the restaurant was packed. The atmosphere reminded me of being in Italy, which brought back great memories. We started with their complimentary bread, served with olive oil and vinegar, which was delicious. We shared a Caesar salad, and it was fresh and flavorful. My husband ordered a shrimp pasta dish, which he said tasted amazing. I opted for the Bianca pizza, and it was absolutely excellent. Having tried pizza at Louie Bossi's Ristorante Bar Pizzeria, I can confidently say Caffe Europa's pizza is far superior - less greasy, bigger, and much more flavorful. Café Europa is located on Las Olas in the heart of Fort Lauderdale. It is your classic Italian restaurant with an old-school feel. You might be able to find parking on the street, however the easiest is to use one of the mini parking lots and walk to the restaurant. It's not a very far walk and you will have to pay for parking. They also have seating inside and outside, which, on a really nice Florida day would be really nice to sit outside. We have been here a few times, and the food is always very good. We recently went for my dad's birthday for lunch. We like to go at lunchtime as the prices are usually better and it is not as crowded. Again, on those beautiful Florida days, it's actually very nice to walk around Las Olas before or after your lunch. We were not greeted immediately, and the hostess was not overly friendly, but our server made up for it. He was very polite, and made sure to check on us throughout our meal. They start your meal by bringing some crispy Italian bread along with oil and balsamic. I preferred to combine the two on a plate and dip the bread but the bread was very hard to bite into, it was very crispy. My family drizzled both on the bread, which in hindsight was probably the better option. I also shared a side salad with my sister, which had some Romain lettuce, tomatoes, roasted red peppers, and topped with slices of prosciutto. It also had mozzarella balls. It was a good salad, not my personal favorite as I don't really care for red peppers and I felt that the red peppers were overpowering the salad and it's all that I tasted. They offer lunch specials, which is what my mom and my husband both ordered from. My husband ordered a grilled chicken Cobb salad, which actually looked delicious. It had fresh grilled chicken breast on top of a huge bowl of lettuce, tomatoes, hard-boiled eggs, and bacon. It even had big chunks of avocado. He absolutely loved it. He wanted something fresher and this was the perfect dish for him. My mom always orders the same lunch as it's one of her favorites, which is grilled salmon served with an orzo rice pilaf. She had a very large piece of salmon and it was covered in a lemon butter sauce. It was actually really good and if I didn't want pasta, it would have been a really great option. My sister, my dad and I all went for pasta dishes. I went for a classic Bolognese, which came with a rigatoni style noodle. It was good however, the pasta was very al dente, almost to the point of crunchy. My dad ordered a rigatoni and meatball, which the waiter told him they make it in a unique way. They actually fry one side of the noodle after it cooks, so the noodles would be very crunchy. I thought it was really nice of him to let my dad know ahead of time, however, I think my noodles got made the same way as his noodles. The flavor of both pastas were very good, I would've just preferred a little more cook on my noodles. My sister chose penna vodka which is something she orders a lot here. It was very good and very tasty. We decided to skip dessert since we had birthday cake at home however, we have had dessert here in the past. They have really good cakes, pies, and cannolis. We have also had espresso after our meal, which is also very good. All in all I think this is a really great restaurant. It's one my parents frequent a lot and when my husband and I visit it's usually at the top when we are craving Italian. Sit outside on a beautiful Florida day. My father in-law seemed to enjoy the dish. My sister-in-law chose Penne alla Vodka(Prosciutto, vodka, plum tomato sauce, cream ) She said it was delicious and one of her favorite meals here. Today we found a pure gem in Fort Lauderdale. This place is just simply amazing. The food was to die for, everything was pure perfection. We started with the melon and prosciutto-perfect combo of sweet and savory. The calamari Europa had a bit of a kick to it, so if you don't like spice stay away, however if you don't mind a little kick then go for it- we loved it I had the penne ala vodka and the sauce was nice and thick and flavorful. My girlfriend had the rigatoni and she wouldn't stop talking about it, it was gone before I even had a chance to taste it lol.
