I tried Cucina Moderna for lunch on a Wednesday and I sat at the bar. I learned about the 10 for $10 lunch menu good from 11-3:00. Every entree on the menu was $10 if you buy a drink, even soda. THIS IS THE BEST LUNCH DEAL IN TOWN!! The place is really elegant. The bar area is bright and sunny with some outdoor tables. The quality of the food is top shelf. Stefanie was our bartender and she was great. They validate parking so your garage fee is free. I ordered the Avocado Chopped Salad. It was fresh and delicious! The citrus vinaigrette was superb! My BF ordered the Cesar Salad with Grilled Chicken. The amount of juicy chicken was fantastic. Our lunch came with complimentary Italian bread and olive oil. Our bottle of Pinot Grigio was half off because it was Wednesday. They also have a Happy Hour menu that runs from 11-6pm everyday. This place fires on all cylinders and they really make you feel welcome. Try it!

We went for HH which goes until 6:30 daily. We sat at the bar. Service was great. The bar counter is lit up. Drinks and food are discounted for HH. My favorite dish was the cacio e Pepe. We also had the eggplant rollatini and meatball sliders. Meatballs taste homemade. All food tasted fresh. My favorite gelato was the cookies and cream. The sea salt caramel was good too when you cut into one of the chunks of chocolate. The owner was on-site. Part of the bar is open to the outside. The restaurant was quiet with music playing in the background. The lighting could be a bit dimmer to add to the ambiance. Parking is in the garage across the street. They validate the parking so it's free. I'll be back on a Thursday for 1/2 price martinis. The special runs all day!

Happened upon this place on Saturday because I was as starving and wanted something different to eat. They happened to be serving brunch on this day which they do every Saturday and Sunday from 11-3 with great cocktail options. I tried the breakfast pizza and my daughter had pasta with meatballs which she enjoyed. The prices were reasonable the service was great. Our waiter was friendly and personable. This place could be a great hot spot if people would stop waiting to go to hatch and go here. They have an indoor outdoor vibe which is great for brunch or a nice happy hour. I'll be back to try some other things because our food was great!!!

Went to check out Cucina Moderna, which just opened about a week ago in the neighborhood. Not sure we needed another Italian spot around here, but I digress. It's a beautiful space with a great bar setup that opens to the outside. It was perfect for enjoying the nice weather we had yesterday. They've got happy hour daily from 11-6, which is a big perk. The bartender was super friendly and attentive, so props there. I just had the meatball sliders off the bar bites menu and they were okay, nothing special, but I'm hoping the food gets better as they find their rhythm. A week later I went back again and I tried the buffalo chicken bites and had to return them. I never do that. It's a shame, so much potential. The menu itself is huge, lots of options to choose from. I'll probably stop back sometime soon to try their gelato and on Thursdays for 1/2 off martinis:)

5 stars for the value of the weekday lunch special. $10 options including the chicken parm which comes with a lunch sized portion (plenty!) and free warm bread with purchase of a beverage of any kind. I opted for a post meal espresso which was lovely. Great (and fast) service. My meal came out to $16 with a 25% tip so you really can't beat that. So why 4 stars? It's just standard box pasta so it's hard to be too impressed by it. The outdoor seating is nice but there is a bustling highway in addition to pretty loud music which kills the ambiance a bit. They don't have alternative milk options for coffee/espressos which would be a nice addition. Still - a place I'm very happy eating at with such a good deal. Free parking in the garage behind it with ticket validation (don't forget!). Good bathrooms/baby changing table.

I have came here twice in the past two weeks. I really like the live Spanish guitarist they have on Thursday's. It really sets the ambiance apart from any other places around here. The bar is very open and lets in lots of sunshine during the day. The restaurant is never super packed but is always a good vibe. Stephanie has taken care of us the past few times and delivers great service and delicious martinis. Ladies have 1/2 off all the martinis on Thursdays! It's a hidden gem and I will return !

Stopped by after a show at the Parker- it was a quick walk over afterwards. I arrived at 1015pm and they closed at 11am- several other diners were departing so it was pretty quiet. It's a beautiful space- chose to dine at the bar on the illuminated bar top. The pizza was excellent- wish I could have taken leftovers home but I was flying the next morning. The bartenders were cleaning up for the night but made the effort to interact. I didn't feel rushed. I would definitely return to try other menu items.

So my husband and I celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary and wanted breakfast. However, that didn't work out as we were sitting across from this restaurant at Hatch but took too long. I heard the waiter say it was $10 appetizers and specials on drinks. My husband and I got up and the rest was history. I cannot remember his name but we gave him a great tip. The pizza , the fried calamari with fried vegetables amazing. The big prawn shrimp pasta was great. Drinks were on point. Will definitely come again.

We came here for brunch and it was pretty empty. The place is beautiful, the service is fantastic and the prices weren't too bad if you sit at the bar. The food was great! The arancini balls were tasty and the buffalo chicken bites were cut and breaded perfectly. The cacio e Pepe was so good I couldn't stop eating it. Cant wait to return!

Came in on a Saturday at 630 pm and were seated without needing a reservation. Busy but not too loud. Server Ian was very helpful and attentive. Had the chicken piccata, first piece of chicken was delicious, second was a little tough but overall great dish. It looks like they have a good "sunset menu" which is an early bird special but missed it as it ends at 6 pm. Nice atmosphere and decor inside.

Amazing! The happy menu rocks, staff is super nice and quick. Food was delicious and the owner Jackie was SO NICE! Great prices and great food Highly recommend this place!!! Come try it!!

New place on the block, walking distance from home, we have a great selection of many good places to eat and get out to. Stefanni, ended up waiting on us, welcoming and happy to be here. It's a really chill upscale Italian place overlooking Federal, inside and outside searing. All of the meals coming from the kitchen look good, will try more in time.

I'm so glad this restaurant finally opened as it's right next to my building! I think it's a great addition to the Flagler Village area. There is plenty of outdoor seating, but the inside has great decor and is aesthetically pleasing! The servers were really nice and provided us with info on their various menu specials. My husband and I ordered from the $10 lunch special (dine-in only) which you can get with a drink order. I ordered a coffee (~$4) and my husband ordered an imported beer on happy hour which was $6 so overall it was a great deal for both of us. The portions were generous and I really enjoyed my penne alla vodka which was very garlicky. I definitely want to come back for their dinner specials which seem to be regular priced entrees but includes salad, a drink, and gelato.

I have to say that we were not disappointed. The food was excellent and the service was spectacular. Upon arrival we were seated very quickly and drinks were arriving within a few minutes. Was a light drinking night for us but happy to report that they do have a full bar so no worries if you want to dabble with the libations. After reviewing the specials with our server we opted for the Arancini Guava Goat Cheese appetizer, Cucumber Soup, the Chicken Parmigiana and the Special Salmon Champagne Risotto. Everything was fresh made to order and delicious. I have to say that you can tell this is a family owned business as the owners came by to make sure everything was to our liking and brought us some free appetizers and a dessert on the house as well. Not expected but was tasty and a nice touch as well. Was not aware but they have another restaurant in Hallandale if you don't want to come to Fort a Lauderdale but either way you should check them out. Atmosphere was very nice as restaurant was jumping and looks like they have live music in certain nights as well which could be a plus. They are located in a small plaza on North Federal Highway and parking should not be a problem either as there was plenty of it. The prices were also very reasonable as well which always helps. So if you find yourself in Hallandale or Fort Lauderdale and have a craving to visit an Italian / Latin fusion restaurant, well I highly recommend you check them out. I don't think you will be disappointed. Enjoy and Bon Appétit mes amis!

Our actual server, however, came across as a bit short and impatient. Live music was a nice touch. My mom loved it. The main complaint from several people in our party of 10 was that the entrée portions were small. I'm not sure if that had anything to do with the size of our party, but it was disappointing. The food itself was good, but I left still feeling hungry.

She made sure our glasses stayed full and actually asked everyone (we were 26 people) if everything was good/did we want anything. She had it together and made our experience golden. Before we went, I looked at the pics on Yelp and thought that the nosebleed prices for simple ingredients and the casual decor didn't seem to go together. And the menu is limited. I thought we were about to waste a lotta money on basic dishes - because we don't eat meat or chicken, our choices were even more limited. But we were part of a large group and we were looking forward to seeing our friends there. So we went and had a GREAT TIME! Look, I was wrong to suspect that this was a casual place with casual food. Its the best of both worlds because it is on the casual side but the food is formal as hell. The pinot noir that my husband ordered and the Don Julio 1942 tequila that I ordered over an ice ball were just right. The bread and pasta are made inhouse. I think the desserts are too. The sauces are the secret to the sparkle of each dish. Our friends ordered the zucchini flowers and went nuts dragging the bread in the gorgonzola sauce. I had the Pasta Siciliano, a fat, heavy, fresh ruffled pasta holding a sauce made of caramelized onions cut so thin they were like feathers, roasted and sauteed eggplant, black olives that were still hard, reduced tomato sauce and a dollop of ricotta. Clearly the person who put the cheese on top of the pasta knows I love fresh ricotta. My husband's grilled salmon, done exactly medium as requested, was a bullseye. I'd order that in a second. He said the spinach and roasted potatoes on the plate were 'delicious'. We split a tiramisu, which was a lightly flavored, fresh dessert. After dinner, we were serenaded and encouraged to join, which our table of 26 gladly did. It was a little post-dinner relaxation with dinner-mates. OR a bit loud and disorderly, as if the whole restaurant was a little drunk. I think it was that the food was great (seriously, we already plan to return), the service was freaken stellar and it was worth every penny, as shocking as it sounds. I am a believer now. It was that good.
