Veggie Omelet with the side salad 10/10!
    Jessica D.

Walked into this place without looking at any reviews, just based off the photos out front and we were not disappointed! The service was a tad slow to start but the food and drinks came out fairly quickly once we were greeted. My iced latte was very good and the perfect size. I opted for the veggie omelet with a side salad, not my usual brekky but this was SO GOOD. If you want a veggie packed breakfast, look no further. It kept me full for almost the whole day too. The omelette was perfectly cooked and loaded up. The side salad had the perfect amount of dressing and was deliciously paired with my bites of the omelet. My fiancé got the eggs Benedict and loved it! I would absolutely come back here and honestly I wish more breakfast places offered a side salad with your eggs!

The place is cute and quiet on a Thursday midday. The coffee is alright for drip and I got a chipotle chicken and avocado sandwich, which unfortunately did not feel very fresh at all, it was giving Panera quality a little bit. I just expected a bit more for a 20 dollar meal!

I love the patio and all the decor! So beautiful and artistic, umbrellas help the sun on the patio and just darling. We had lunch on a Sunday afternoon and it was nearly empty, best service and my crepe was melt in your mouth delicious! Just the right amount of food to be satisfied and not too much, best service and easy street parking. No issues, generous sizes and reasonable prices.

My mom and I stopped in for brunch at Cafe Mona on a Monday around noon. We were pleasantly surprised at how warm and empty the restaurant was. We had the whole place to ourselves. We chose a small table off to the right, seated ourselves, and had a waitress over within a minute or two. We both ordered simple breakfast of 3 eggs with toast and coffee. The plates were around $10 and I think each coffee, with refills, were $4. My mom added bacon to her plate and I think our total for breakfast was around $50. The service was not quick, but the waitress did mention that the coffee was being brewed fresh. I thought the price was a little high for the experience overall, but the food was fine and the ambiance is colorful and relaxing. This is a decent choice for breakfast or lunch while in the Strip.

If you're in the mood for breakfast on the strip, consider Caffé Mona! Our party of six didn't have to wait long for a table, and our drink orders were taken almost immediately after being seated. I opted for a Turkish coffee, and it was a great choice for a snowy day. It was strong while not being too bitter. We had a good bit of variety at the table. One person ordered the Brentwood bagel, another ordered the Biscoff French toast, another ordered eggs Benedict and I ordered a Chèvre omelette and a grilled cheese. It is worth noting that the member of our party who ordered eggs Benedict had to send them back initially because they were overcooked, but we all ended up liking our food in the end. The chèvre omelette was light and fluffy, with bold flavors from the goat cheese and sun-dried tomatoes. The home fries with which the omelette came were crispy, buttery, and full of savory goodness. The sourdough for the grilled cheese was fresh with perfectly crispy crusts, and the cheddar cheese was nice and gooey. The space is a bit on the small side and does fill up quickly, so be sure to plan accordingly!

I love this place. It's so chill but clean and tasty. The staff is friendly and fast on service. Every time i have a visitor in town I take them to caffe Mona and it just never disappoints! My favorite is their crepes and avocado toast!!

I visited Caffe Mona on a whim! My sister and I needed a place for lunch on a Monday, and this was open so we tried it. It was a later lunch, so the dining area was pretty empty and we were able to choose our own table. They had full lunch options and a la carte offerings, which was nice in case we wanted something small. The food was very good, and the ambiance was lovely. The room was decorated with wonderful decorations. Very homey feeling to the dining area. The service was fine. Our server was quiet, so we didn't interact with her much. The hard part is parking, so I'm sure it's easier if you live/work nearby to visit.

I can't believe I never checked this place out! The patio is so cute and the food is great! I really loved my avo toast and the egg was perfect. I liked my salad it came with too. There was a bit of a mixup with the coffee but I liked my decaf latte. The pancakes were dreamy. Their menu is pretty big! My party all really had a great brunch and they have things like Turkish coffee too. The staff was nice too! Definitely recommend it if you're looking for a brunch spot.

Ok so parking sucks but , this place sucks s still a must try. I went for savory crepe, The Goat. My dining mate had the sweet Berries Goat. Both delicious. Just had plain old black coffee that could have tasted less bitter. But my review is on the food. I say yes go to Caffe Mona. Maybe the staff would be a bit pleasant and not show their feelings so much. When asked to pick a table don't be upset that we picked the center of the 6 seats. Also we paid and were wrapping up don't come around gruff that we have not left let. There was a crowd waiting to come in. 90% of the seats were taken outside and 90% of the seats inside were open. Learn to lean people to sit inside.

I ordered through Uber Eats and was a bit disappointed when I had began eating. It was a bit more expensive than other places, so I had expected a bigger portion, or even just better quality? Perhaps those don't always go bad in hand. Let me clarify, it wasn't bad at all. I enjoyed the omelet, I would've just liked to see more of the ingredients that get mixed into the omelet. I was very excited for the salad, but the balsamic vinaigrette was looking a bit suspect... It was very thick like a pudding, which I have never seen before and was a bit worried it might also contain dairy. I probably wouldn't order here again for personal preferences, but i'm sure they've got other things on the menu that might do you good!

I love it here. This is my favorite breakfast spot in Pittsburgh. Finding parking can be tricky, but the food and patio are worth it. I love the vibes. The savory crepes here are so delish. I love them. The side salad is also great. There's also really cool artwork hung up for sale in the cafe. The people are nice and the food is great. Check out this place!!

    Avocado Toast (without real avocado)
    Lori T.

Came here for brunch with family. Ordered avocado toast and came with disappointment. It was not made with fresh avocado instead made with pre mixed avocado spread (like the one you bought from market for dipping). It was my first time ate avocado toast without real avocado. The side salad also awful, I can smell the salad had a strong refrigerated smell. The whole thing I only ate the fresh grape tomatoes and Sunnyside up egg. Thats it!! This place has a lot of flies around our table. It is not a good start for our first visit in Pitts.

Upon entering the restaurant, there are crystal chandeliers, bright colors, French posters, and a lively atmosphere. The restaurant had a lot of potential until we experienced the service and cuisine. I brought my Supper Club here, and we had a group of 8 of us. There was also a very large group at the restaurant. We were neglected on several occasions, and it took us 2 HOURS just to get our food order. That's not an exaggeration. Our waitress was rather snippy with us, and ended up apologizing at the end but it did make for an unpleasant experience. When we finally received our bread, we were so hungry that we scarfed it down despite it being not so great sour dough bread. Every dish was flavorless and left us wanting more. I had to send back the steak on two occasions: once for being undercooked and once for being overcooked. I ended up getting my meal for free. The Coquilles St. Jacques had the smallest scallops without the lovely scallop shell its usually served in. The shrimp cocktail tasted like anything you could get at the grocery store. The Nicoise Salad was just sad and flavorless. The porkchop and escargot had the most flavor. I will definitely not be back to this establishment. Our group did enjoy each other's company, and it created a very memorable experience even though it was an overall bad experience!

I was last at Point Brugge in April 2022, when the grub and warm welcome were well-worth the price. I'm not sure what has happened since then, but if my most recent experience is anything to go by, SERIOUS changes have to be undertaken at this once gem of Point Breeze for it to justify the equally serious price increases that have gone by since then. The food: BLAND and prepared without care for the customer. To start off, my companion and I both got the "soup du jour." It was tomato and onion cream. Completely mediocre and far too sweet. I could've bought a prepared soup at Trader Joe's of the same quality. For our mains, I got a $36 (!) salmon with fried veggies and lentils. The fish was OK (it's hard to wreck good salmon), but the veggies were positively DRIPPING in oil and the lentils were salted to all hell. I could not finish the latter. My companion ordered a $16 vegetable sandwich and specifically requested no red onions. Guess what? The sandwich and its side salad were chock-full of red onion slices. So much for customer service. The restaurant: GROSS. The remnants of mussels and other food items were LITTERED all over the floor of the "top" area of the restaurant. The walls are full of cracks; the paint is peeling; and where the drywall meets the floorboard, AVERT your gaze! Giant, gaping holes pepper the entire lower part of the wall, as if positively begging for a rodent infestation. How is this up to code? The service: UNFRIENDLY. I think we were served by the manager. He had sort of a strange attitude and cadence, and only asked us anything about the food BEFORE we had started eating the soups. Consider asking us after we've finished something? I think he was mad that I had only ordered a water. Sorry! Alcohol is bad for you, and I for one wasn't going to slurp down a sugary "mocktail" next to all those oily mushrooms. Next stop? UPMC Presby. Apart from him, the staff was underdressed and loud (although, for what it's worth, a bit friendlier). However, I prefer to know if I'm interacting with a paid employee or a freight train driver who has just gotten off a 16-hour-shift driving on the CSX mailine. I get it: nobody is expecting you to wear a tuxedo in 2026. But let's at least try to outdress the most casual of customers, no? Considering Point Brugge was once a place I took people from out-of-town to show off the East End, this is a sad, sad fall from grace. I will NOT be going back, and, as long as they don't get their act together, neither should you. Not in this economy. $36 oily azz mushrooms...

The food was very tasty. Huge potato pancake that was cooked perfectly with a nice topping of what I can only describe as vegan sour cream and some sort of very flavorful vegetables. I quite liked it, surprisingly tasty and creamy topping. Now the borscht, which I tend to be picky with, was just okay. The number one detractor for the borscht was the salt level. The food is just far, far too salty (the pancake was pretty salty too). Other than that, quite good. Love the side of rye. The dessert was very good. Surprisingly light. Came with a little caramelized baked fruit on top (apple/pear, something like that). Rice was reasonably creamy and very flavorful. So good! All in all, a nice spot for a nice dinner. Especially great for vegans. However, the food did taste too salty for my liking.

She appeared overwhelmed by her role and was not warm. We were actually told by the waiters that "she is serious about her list". Which would be great if she managed it effectively. When I brought concerns that we had been pushed down the list 3 times for other parties. She responded "well, how do you know that" to which I responded "we watched you take their names down after ours and sit them before us".
