Tried going to Cafe Raymond on a busy Saturday on the strip and had a 45 minute wait for a table so we decided to skip and come back mid morning on a Monday. Smart move, good a table right away. Good amount of seating here and I can tell you it's well worth the visit and wait. We decided on Guy's Breakfast and an order of the blueberry ricotta pancakes with a side of bacon. Bacon was nice and crispy as well as the potatoes. I get my eggs scrambled, they were perfect. The blueberry ricotta pancakes were the star of the dish, fluffy and full of flavor. Kudos to them, they make their own hot sauce which they also sell in a to-go bottle. Cozy ambiance with an open kitchen vibe, awesome place. A must if you're looking for a quality place to eat on the strip.
One of our favorites in the Strip District. They are under new management, so there have been changes, but the food remains excellent. They now have table service, and although I loved ordering at the counter in the past, this change is working out okay. There's usually a long line at some of the older traditional breakfast spots in the Strip, but I like the food better here. For one thing, they have more savory choices. The service is fast and friendly. It's a treat to sit on the balcony when the weather is nice. You can't beat the location, there are so many cool shops close by.
Amazing breakfast + huge portions! This was my second time going to Cafe Raymond. (My first time was 3 years ago.) I went with a friend on a Friday morning around 10:30 am, and it was busy. There were only 2 front of house staff, both were serving and one was also the host. They handled the rush really well! We got seated right away because there were bar seats available; regular seating was a longer wait. I got the croissant breakfast sandwich with bacon and a side of home fries. The sandwich was huge and delicious! The home fries were also delicious; they were seasoned so well I didn't even need to dip them in ketchup! My friend got the French toast and loved it. She had leftovers, and I had leftover home fries. You definitely get a lot bang for your buck here. It's a great place for breakfast/brunch.
I got the croissant breakfast sandwich with bacon. It was so good. I can't wait to go back because I need to try the lunch menu!! We know I'm a sandwich girl and they have so many that sounds so good!! Our waiter was great and had us cracking up when he would come check on us!!
Very cute little spot. The vibe was very nice. I got the brisket hashed and it fell a little in the dry side for me. The drinks were ok too. Service was great though.

It was my first time there, but it seems that they've renovated the space not too long ago. We opted for outdoor seating to do some people watching on the Strip (not sure if that's how the locals say it lol). Our server was amazing. Sometimes when sitting outside, I can feel forgotten, she did not make us feel this way at all. My friend was craving a good turkey sandwich and got a gorgeous and delicious one. I devoured a HUGE chicken caesar salad. Everything was so fresh and tasty. The portions are really big here. Although I wasn't in the mood for breakfast on that trip, I adored their breakfast menu. Their pancakes sounded incredible. I would come back to try those. I get the sense that this is a local favorite. I had a great time here and would definitely recommend eating at Cafe Raymond.

I started with a peach Bellini and was so torn between breakfast and lunch--but ultimately went the lunch route. Honestly, all the sandwiches sounded AMAZING. I ordered the grilled corned beef Reuben and the rare roast beef, and both were outstanding. Sandwiches come with seasoned potatoes that are absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. The space offers downstairs dining and bar seating, plus an upstairs area with additional seating--and in nice weather, an upper deck with great Strip District views. The staff is sweet, knowledgeable, and super helpful when it comes to questions or recommendations. Highly recommend making this a stop the next time you're in the Strip District!
Pretty typical breakfast and brunch food served here. The blueberry lemon ricotta pancakes were delicious! And they weren't overly sweet either! The crispy potatoes were made very well! The drip coffee was also good. I love the variety of vegetarian options here and I want to come back and try the other food options on this menu!
Very delicious breakfast and lunch options. They remodeled 1-2 years ago and I feel like the whole experience is different now. The BLT was so good and had me thinking about it weeks later. The bacon was so thick! The service was normal and efficient. The inside of the cafe is very calming and upscale.
12/10!!! We are visiting Pittsburgh for the US Open and extended our stay to explore. Cafe Raymond was highly recommended online, so we had to stop in. The eggs are some of the best I've ever had! I had the omelette and added smoked salmon & it was perfection! My partner didn't have enough great things to say about the guy breakfast as it had a little bit of everything. The pancake was phenomenal. Will definitely be back next time we are in the area

We were lucky to have nice weather so we got a chance to sit outside (they have rooftop seating and a few tables on the sidewalk). I got the turkey club & it was amazing. Super fresh and filling. The potatoes on the side were killer. I also had an iced coffee - they get their coffee from next door at Allegheny Tea & Coffee. Would definitely recommend Cafe Raymond for breakfast and lunch!

It comes with a side of crispy potatoes. The burger is massive! I thought it was just okay. I loved the bacon on it but the burger patty itself was overcooked and kinda dry. The potatoes on the side were delicious though!

Nothin hits more than good food, sun shine and some girl talk. This was a new place for me and will certainly be back. I ordered their portobello melt. It was EVERYTHING. The sweetness of the caramelized onions, the little tang from the garlic aioli, crispiness of the ciabatta and savoriness of the portobello was 100000000/10. My friend had the AMAZING idea of us all splitting a sweet breakfast so I also got to try their french toast. It was delicious. We arrived around 11am and were seated pretty promptly. Our waitress was great, very attentive. Loved the decor, it was so cool. read more
Really enjoyed the vibe and food, one of my fav brunch places on the Strip! The decor is really nice with a good energy, plus they do cocktails as well as classic brunch which is great. The coffee was fine, free refills but there were not enough servers to keep up so a little difficult. But the food was top notch and came out quick, with the sausage being a standout along with the ricotta blueberry pancake. You could really taste the ricotta and they had a lot of blueberries in there which was delicious! Would definitely recommend, and make sure to get the house made hot sauce too! read more
Went to Cafe Raymond for the first time ever this past Saturday around 9am. To my surprise, we were able to get seated immediately as a party of 3. Our server was great. I ordered an omelette with ham, cheddar and peppers. It was really good and came out quick! The restaurant was cozy. I really enjoyed my time there. I would have loved a mimosa but seeing as to how it was 9am I passed. I will be back for one! read more

We actually came on a Saturday but there was a 45min wait for a table for 2 and we also couldn't find parking. They'll text you when your table is ready which is nice, however We opted to skip and come back another day which ended up being Monday around 11:30am. I'm so glad we came back. We got a comfortable table towards the back. I got the blueberry ricotta pancakes and my husband got the plate that came with every breakfast item. I also got a side of bacon. We both agreed our bacon was great! We loved everything we got. Husband loved every item on his plate. Their have house made hot sauce too, it's great. Service was great too! Highly recommend. Everything else on the menu and things other people were ordering looked awesome too. I heard they house smoke brisket. I could go on and on. read more

Our server was amazing very great personality and the food was great. I always get the croissant sandwich but tried something different with the French toast and it didn't disappoint. The place was empty and they seated us right next to the kitchen so didn't love that but I also could have asked to sit somewhere else and didn't so can't fault them for it too hard. read more

This is the perfect spot to go after a workout. The staff were so kind and attentive, and the food was even better! The food came out in a timely manner and portion sizes were just right. Oh man... I hate leaving bad reviews and this place so many great ones I don't know what went wrong?! Bad day maybe? First, I will say that our server was very nice. He definitely forgot part of our order but made up for it and super friendly. We ordered some peach Bellini's and they were very horrible. Tasted like I was drinking straight up Peach Torani coffee syrup. And I ordered a club sandwich... how does that go wrong? To start, the bread was extremely doughy so my mouth was just filled with sticky bread with every bite. Thank goodness I carry crack cleaners in my bag so I could get it all out of my teeth, lol. Beyond the bread... the turkey was just super processed tasting and gelatinous and I don't know... the textures were too much for me and unfortunately I could not eat it. So... left hungry and again... bad day? I probably won't be back to find out :-| read more
A friend recommended this place in the Strip District of Pittsburgh. It's a bustling place on a Saturday morning around 11:50am. We waited 5 minutes but after us there was a long wait. The place is narrow but cute. I'm not sure if there's a second floor but we got seated in the first floor. I ordered Guys Breakfast which came with 2 eggs, potatoes, Canadian ham, and 2 ricotta pancakes. The ricotta pancakes were the highlight - so moist! I finished everything on the plate. Portabella Mushroom Melt and Farmhouse Burger. We stopped in after the Vintage Grand Prix. First time for us. Not crazy about the order and hope to find a seat but I have to say the food was fabulous! And the side of fried potatoes were reminiscent of my grandmother's! My friend & I dined in this morning for breakfast. We both ordered Guy's Breakfast which was really good, a large portion too! It comes with eggs (your style), meat, potatoes and one of their almost famous Blueberry Ricotta pancakes. You order at the counter and then they bring you out your food. We both ordered waters which we discovered is self-serve (would have been nice if they told us to help ourselves). I would give it 4.5 stars due to that if I could but other than that it great. The breakfast was $16. The atmosphere is casual with several small tables. read more

Just had breakfast at this place this morning with a friend and my husband. We were planning to shop on the Strip after, so this was a perfect location. There was no wait (hurrah). We were seated upstairs - a cavernous area with a modern/loft/industrial vibe. Service was ok. We were a bit taken aback when she plunked down our coffee and hot tea while announcing (at 9:45am) that her "shipment of milk isn't due in until 10:30am." Huh?? It's breakfast! I gave her back my hot tea and ordered a juice. We also had to ask her to wipe up the rather sizable spill from the coffee/tea plunkage. The menu is a bit limited - but they do have breakfast/brunch/lunch food served all day. Our food came out fairly quickly. I got the "Yuri's Breakfast" -- fried eggs that were supposed to be on a bed of sautéed spinach - but the veg was on the side. Fine. The spinach was cooked perfectly. The tomatoes were also on the side - and were raw and sliced thinly with feta sprinkled on top. Not what I expected, but it was ok. While the menu doesn't mention any available sides, I was able to get a side of potatoes. They were ok. Nothing special. My husband got the "Guy's Breakfast"- 2 scrambled eggs, bacon, potatoes, and a blueberry ricotta pancake (sans whipped cream -- eesh). My friend Drew from the extensive brisket burger menu....choosing "Lil Ray's Fat Burger," which looked quite good. The large burger was topped with cheddar, bacon, and a fried egg. I think there were also potato chunks in there. she seemed to like her meal. It was a fairly good experience, so I assume we will be back. read more

Very, very nice cafe. Great spot for a relaxed breakfast or brunch, with many of the breakfast classics and some of their own delicious spins. They are best known for their ricotta blueberry pancakes, which I tried alongside their croissant breakfast sandwich. First, the pancakes. These were definitely quite good. Tons of real blueberries (whole little pieces) all through a fluffy pancake. And, they make their own syrup as well! I will say, I would have preferred a stronger ricotta flavor to cut some of the sweetness. But, they were still very good pancakes. The croissant sandwich came with egg and cheese, as well as a side of home fries. They cooked the eggs perfectly, and included just the right amount of cheese. Their default is a fried egg (you can see they got the yolk just right), but personally, I prefer scrambled eggs. You can ask for scrambled eggs for no charge, so next time I will do so. It was a super flavorful sandwich! Really nice and buttery croissant as well. The potatoes were also very good. Cooked well and seasoned to perfection. I'm surprised as to how much flavor this side had! They salted it quite a bit too. All in all, I really liked this spot. Nice portions (the croissant was huge and so were the pancakes), prices were reasonable, and quality was excellent. Would definitely go back! read more

I had such a great experience at Cafe Raymond! Their menu is super gluten-free friendly--there were so many options I could safely enjoy with just a few simple substitutions. I ordered the Guy's Breakfast which normally comes with eggs, your choice of ham, bacon, or sausage, crispy potatoes, and a blueberry ricotta pancake. Since the pancakes aren't gluten free, I swapped in their gluten-free French toast instead--and it was amazing. The crispy potatoes are cooked on the same grill as gluten-containing items, but the staff let me know ahead of time and gave me the option to have them baked in the oven instead. It only took a few extra minutes, and the service was still super quick and friendly. Definitely a spot I'll be coming back to. Love finding places that are transparent, flexible, and seriously delicious. Celiac note: I was diagnosed with celiac disease in 2023 and have been on the hunt for safe and delicious gluten-free spots around Pittsburgh ever since. Everyone with celiac has different comfort levels when eating out, so I always recommend doing your own research and choosing what feels right for read more
