Amazing dinner with outstanding service. Every meal ordered was delightful. Will be back!

This is an adorable small restaurant. We walked in after 7pm on a Tuesday and got a table right away but the place was mostly full. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. The menu has variety but is not big, maybe half a dozen choices for each course. There was a great wine list (again not pages long but good quality without over the top prices) and also a list of house cocktails. We had a beet salad, French onion soup, chicken Gorgonzola pasta and a roasted pear and spinach salad with grilled salmon. Beet salad was warm with marinated goat cheese balls. Soup was rich and earthy without being overly greasy. It warmed me through after a cold day in the expo center. The pasta dish was savory and creamy from the Gorgonzola and also had a touch of sweetness from butternut squash. The pears on the salad were fresh roasted and warm. They were aldente which was a great texture contrast to the spinach and pecans and salmon. Salmon was cooked perfectly to medium rare. So glad we finally found a small place with great food in Springfield. Extra plus it's not in a high traffic area to easy to get to!! read more

I've been wanting to try this restaurant for a long time! One time I came on a whim and they were fully booked, so I was excited to finally get a table for Sunday brunch. The service was extremely friendly and welcoming, and the restaurant itself was very clean and presentable. Unfortunately, the food just wasn't for us. The complimentary banana bread was okay, and we tried the frittata and omelette--both were fine but nothing memorable. Our drinks tasted good but didn't seem to have much alcohol in them. I truly appreciate how kind the staff was, but overall, the food and drinks didn't live up to my expectations. read more

Went here with two friends to celebrate my birthday. The decor is so cute. The service was attentive and friendly. We were brought fresh fruit and grilled banana bread. The banana bread was amazing. We all ordered something a little different. I had the French toast, the chicken apple sausage and home fries. Everything was delicious. The chef gifted a bread pudding (my favorite btw) and sang happy birthday to be. We will be back for sure. read more

Caffeine's was recommended by our hotel manager, and I am so glad. A wonderful restaurant with fantastic food and great service! We were a party of 5 co-workers with hearty appetites. We started with drinks wonderfully crafted by Donna, who was also our waitress. We were presented with complementary cups of the soup special, goulash, which was very tasty and a treat to some who never had experienced goulash. We feasted on seafood pomodoro, veal, bone-in ribeye and wonderful roasted pear and arugula salads. They have a nice small menu but from our experience, I am sure all on it is wonderful. The atmosphere is cozy with available seating outside. A definite recommendation if you are in the area. We will be returning! read more

We discovered this place in December '23 and have fallen in love. The owner is the sweetest and funniest man and is an amazing chef. The food is very affordable for how great the quality is. The staff is extremely attentive and their service has been amazing every time we've been. I would suggest their French Onion Soup (both on the regular menu and the brunch menu), the roasted beet and mussels appetizers, the short ribs and lemon chicken are AMAZING. And leave room for dessert because the bread pudding is worth it! read more

What a great way to spend Valentine's Day! Caffeine's Midtown is a must go on any foodie's list. Everyone was out for a fun evening. Music playing and roses on the tables. What else could anyone ask for? We started with oysters on the half shell and a scrumptious lobster biscuit. Both large enough to be shareable. My main was short ribs with mashed potatoes and haricort verts. Good portion and cut with a fork. My companion opted for the California Veal with shrimp, avocado and lemon. Second time reviewing the amazing experiences we continue to have at Caffeines Midtown. Chef-owned, you can tell the pride in everything he does. Spotless kitchen in plain view, with sous chefs all working as a well oiled team. Wait staff is fluent in discussing the specials as well as regular menu items. The food is prepared flawlessly. Yet another hidden gem, from the outside it is unassuming. You may have even driven by daily and noticed. Let me be the one to tell you these are the best places especially this one. The atmosphere at caffeine's is cute and cozy. The service was very good and the server was knowledgeable. But the best part was the food! I had the most delicious meal as did the rest of my family. I ordered fish and it was so yummy! I also have dietary restrictions and you wouldn't have known that my meal was like gluten-free and dairy free. Went to Caffeines's for the first time. Service was amazing! Kathy Kelly made your first experience memorable. Very knowledgeable, great sense of humor, and her food suggestions were on point! Now on to the food.. I had a seafood plate to die for.. I can eat.. The portions were immense. The food was excellent and fresh. The octopus appetizer was as good or better than what I've had in Spain! My Wife had the Chicken Gorgonzola. She is a picky eater and loved it! We ate supper on a Saturday evening. We reserved a table for 4; there was no wait. The place had a busy vibe, but it was not too noisy to converse. The server was polite, friendly and helpful. Among the things we ordered was the haddock cooked in wine sauce over linguini, salad with chicken (entree), French onion soup, and shrimp appetizer. The meal was filling, but the desserts looked so good that we could not resist. The desserts are made in house. The carrot cake dessert and chocolate mouse were artfully displayed. Fantastic food and service. These guys really take pride in their business and it shows. The owner even came out to ask how everything went at the end of the meal. We got the octopus, steak and short ribs and it was all fantastic. The focaccia that they served in the beginning of the meal was the best bread I've ever had. Honestly we were hesitant about caffeines because the menu was on the small side, but they do a fantastic job. Went here on a rainy Thursday night. It doesn't look impressive from the outside but I'd heard good things about it from a friend. We were one of about four couples inside. The meal we both had - steak tips - was maybe the best restaurant meal I've had in five years at least. And the dessert, bread pudding, was the best dessert I've had in at least that long. Truly outstanding. This place needs to be discovered. I heard the original Caffeine's was on Memorial Drive in West Springfield but the owners retired and sold the business to the head chef, Amir. Then, I'm guessing a couple of years ago, he moved it to its current location. This is one of the few restaurant meals I've ever had that will last in memory. I'll surely be back (as long as the bread pudding stays on the menu.) Sorry I didn't think to take photos. read more

I love this charming little bistro - with a small bar area and some of the best prepared food you will ever have. It's tucked into a small plaza on Westfield St. next to Debron's Hair Salon - look for their white road-side sign. Their home-made soups and breads are consistently delicious, as are their salads and entrees. I often get their enormous Cobb salad which is loaded with greens, veggies, chicken and your choice of dressings. They feature interesting meat/ fish dishes accompanied by roasted veggies and/ or potatoes. Love, love their coconut cake and bread pudding, both made on the premises. I would give this fantastic new restaurant more than 5 stars if I could. The chef is so talented. The dishes we had were executed beautifully. The service was top notch, the perfect balance of very professional yet still friendly. The food quality, presentation, and flavors were amazing. The grilled shrimp app was phenomenal. I don't even like eggplant but somehow their eggplant rollatini is now one of my favorite dishes. The short ribs were very tender, and so flavorful. The coconut cake was amazing. First bite I could tell it wasn't a frozen, mass-produced dessert like so many other places serve. It's so beautiful and clean there, with everything being brand new. It has a fresh, contemporary look but still has a comfortable vibe. I've dined in so many places, not just locally but in several other countries known for their amazing cuisine, (including Italy and France), and I was blown away finding this level of quality right here in West Spfld. My wife and I own a restaurant in the area and it has been a while since we have felt so welcomed by another establishment! I must say Caffines Midtown was a fabulous experience. Chef/Owener Amir is charming, talented and a very gracious host! Kathy Kelly and the service team are engaging and super sweet! The envoronment and decor are well thought out and has a soft inviting feel. The place is very clean and organized, you can tell it is a professional operation. The food was a 10! Baby beets delicous, Eggplant appetizer had a depth of flavors and I picked up a little hint of citrus, maybe lemon zest in the stuffing that was unexpected but delicous, The Veal California was unique with the fresh avocado but really worked and the shrimp on the dish were SOOO good, Pad Thai hands down best available in the area, I can't think of on place doing Pad Thai better(Chef said it is his 30 year old recipe.) Finally dessert, The bread pudding is something to dream about, Crispy on the outside, soft and custard like on the inside, made with homemade bread and love and finished with Ice cream was the perfect ending to a perfect meal. Make sure you try this place, it is a unique gem for our area and they earned new regulars last night. Great Job! read more
