Great first experience. Easy to find and park location, the hostess was friendly and sat us immediately. The vibe is cozy and welcoming and it was clean and tidy. Service was quick and the staff was really nice, chatting with tables, helping older folks get their leftovers packaged up and offering coloring pages to kids. Our server was really nice and attentive. Food came out fast. I ordered the lemon blueberry loaf french toast special. It was really flavorful and not overly sweet. The lemon flavor really comes through! We got the onion rings which are house made and battered. They had a very satisfying crisp to them and tasted delicious. I'd highly recommend giving this place a try! This is a new local fave for us.

The 3rd exit. 3 eggs, 3 bacon, 3 sausage links, home fries and rye toast

OMG! SOOOO GOOD! I ordered the 3rd exit. 3 eggs, 3 bacon strips, 3 sausage links, ham, home fries, and rye toast. My bacon and eggs were cooked perfectly. My rye toast was perfect. The home fries were perfectly seasoned and delicious. I was full halfway through but couldn't put my fork down! My husband was so pleased with his meal ( the Moove over) that I didn't have enough time to snap a picture of his. Great service, great atmosphere, great prices. Perfect day off breakfast for us!

I'm going to admit that the place has been open for almost one week & time may be slightly not ideal for Yelping (Idk) but nevertheless I was in lunch mode and got okay to dine at the bar (yes they have a liquor license) but myself I only had bottomless coffee & West-Turn Burger with bacon, fried onions & pepper jack cheese instead of cheddar & had fries with BBQ sauce to dip in (I get tired of ketchup too). Service was okay but it seemed some confusion regarding who paid what & such (I unfortunately heard it because some orders were messed up with ones' card but hopefully it'll be sorted out) & place was conveniently located near CVS. Place inside has been really changed from what it was previously & music seems like an ideal one. I will say it's good though hopefully they'll get better organized & such

What a wonderful and happy place. Portions are huge, prices more than fair, the setting is comfortable, clean and airy. Staff are amazing.

I took a friend here cause we went there last year for her birthday and she requested to go again…read morebecause we both enjoyed the Redfish Novelle dish which once again was flavorful and enjoyable. I did feel that the presentation could have been a little cleaner and a little more rice but the dish still held our tastebuds satisfied. We are both gluten free which can be difficult . We ordered their price fix menu which included salad, main dish and desert. We decided that was a good choice. The salad came with a lot of unsavory dead end pieces in it which immediately affects the taste and look of the salad. I would give that a very poor presentation with just a small amount of taste. The deserts that came with it were all gluten deserts. That required us to order an extra dish, the bananas foster which should be good. The presentation was not good at all. The bananas were not caramelized which is part of this signature dish and the bananas were mushy and tasteless. It came topped with ice cream. All in all a disappointing addition we had to pay for. The service was very good and I did tell the waiter of our disappointment with the bananas foster and he said " I am sorry" , I guess I should have asked for the manager but the waiter did suggest to take home the two deserts that we were owed. My husband would probably enjoy them. The cheese cake was very disappointing. It was dull, heavy and tasteless, I took a taste of the cheese parts. The apple strudel passable. They can do better. I know they have a large volume clientele but taste and presentation are key to returning customers at least it is to this customer and her friend. It will be awhile until we venture there again. Maybe they will take this review seriously and make some changes. I would suggest adding a gluten free desert offering to the price fix desert menu like flourless chocolate cake or chocolate mousse something if you want to attract a larger more versatile clientele. The redfish novelle is a very nice dish that I do recommend.

I think the ihop in Enfield is well above most others, but The Farmers House was something else entirely. The food was so good and the kids talked about it all day. The staff were quick and friendly, but busy. We all got something different (French toast, an omelette, and kids pancakes) and each of the three of us were very pleased with our choices. They don't do anything here you haven't had before, but they do everything very well. The only thing I could say was not great, and I hate complaining about things like this, is the parking. I know that's got little to do with the restaurant itself, but it is not the easiest spot to get in and out of, especially with everything going on at the X lately.

However, our party of four waited 50 minutes for our breakfast. Even coffee took quite a while to arrive. A canned coke was delivered 20 minutes after ordering. Three out of the four entrees were served after waiting for 50 minutes, the other one took an additional 5 minutes and we waited for another 5 minutes to receive the side. The food was mostly good - Omelet was chock full of meat and was delicious. Bacon was really good. Burger was average and fried chicken was kind of meh - crispy, but very dry. We did enjoy the live acoustic music. It was great to hear live music in the morning since most places only have it at night. However, the excessive wait for food really overshadowed the rest of our visit. Oh well.....

The menu has variety but is not big, maybe half a dozen choices for each course. There was a great wine list (again not pages long but good quality without over the top prices) and also a list of house cocktails. We had a beet salad, French onion soup, chicken Gorgonzola pasta and a roasted pear and spinach salad with grilled salmon. Beet salad was warm with marinated goat cheese balls. Soup was rich and earthy without being overly greasy. It warmed me through after a cold day in the expo center. The pasta dish was savory and creamy from the Gorgonzola and also had a touch of sweetness from butternut squash. The pears on the salad were fresh roasted and warm. They were aldente which was a great texture contrast to the spinach and pecans and salmon. Salmon was cooked perfectly to medium rare. So glad we finally found a small place with great food in Springfield. Extra plus it's not in a high traffic area to easy to get to!!

No reservations, so get there early! An automatic bonus star for original craft cocktails and dinner specials. I abhor restaurants that rely on staple meal choices, forgetting that people need variety from the ho hum they make at home ( or can make at home- like Wood and Tap. Boo.). I love a place like this where you can look at the menu and see at least two or three things that make you think "WOW, what will I choose?". The restaurant is very bright with many high top tables. It would have felt conspicuously weird to take photos in the full-capacity situation we were in. There's also a gentleman playing acoustic guitar and singing Christmas music. Nicely done, with a professional voice and playing style. I would say, the only downside was that there didn't seem to be a consistency of how people were waiting on tables, so simple things like a set of silverware missed at our table, and then somebody brought a set and didn't bring napkins. Then one of us received the completely wrong meal and we had a delay in getting it corrected while we were already on a tight schedule with the other flubs to make the show on time. It was scattered issues like that all night that kept this from being a five star experience. It

You will need to ask. My major bugaboo is that the menu is pretty unclear. If you order a veggie omelette you might think it comes with at least some veggies in it. Apparently the $9.99 is the base price for just the eggs, and each item is added for $0.99 each. So when we ordered we were asked if we want all the veggies, it was unclear that this meant do you want to add $10 worth of extra items to the omelette. (Cheese is somehow extra too). The food was fine. Not worth $38 for eggs, toast homefries and the aforementioned omelette. So this is a once and done for us. And yes as others have said this is a cash only place.
