I have not been here since the buffet turned into a restaurant. I was not expecting it to be god since there was hardly anyone. We were seated immediately and the food came out very fast. The food was delicious. Our waiter was a bit MIA and did not come back to our table and when he brought back our check he never came back we had to get up and pay. Other than that the food was great and with reasonable price considering we had ribs and lobster tails.

    Carne asada pizza....COME BACK!

My Family and I would go often to Cafe 54 for the carne asada pizza. We went 2 weeks ago to have it again. Unfortunately it is sadly no longer on the menu. We asked if the chef could make Us one. Server said "no". We will most likely not go back until the carne asada pizza returns. BRING BACK MY PIZZA!!!!

Birria tacos are delicious and stuffed with tender beef

Lunchtime midweek got us easy parking, fast service and the noise level was minimal. We ordered a couple appetizers, cold beer and split a sandwich. It was a greet meal and the prices are phenomenal!

I went this weekend to this great spot to eat the food was amazing and the servers were wow I observed at first and was a bit negative but to my amazement the servers are great they memorize your order without writing done everything is in there head and they bring it all correct I saw a big family there and every order in his head no writing what so ever all servers were doing that and I just admired that .they were very nice also I will be going back there to eat for sure also had a great selection on there menu for food

    A win on .80 cents

This local restaurant never disappoints. My go to favorites are the specialty shrimp tacos and the cob salad, double chopped and tossed. The service team is very friendly and the prices aThis is a great place for adult gaming fun, and just relaxing. It's small and you don't have to deal with parking or getting lost in the casino..

The 12 dollar lobster roll....small but decent. Can't beat the price.

Haven't had a bad meal there. It's clean and comfortable. I just recently went in for the 10 dollar hamburger special. You get a big half pound patty that's been flame broiled. Brioche bun, all the trimmings, with a small personal basket of freshly cooked fries, and a refillable soft drink. Ten bucks thursday through Sunday. Service is good too. I was at a golf course cafe and they wanted 18 bucks for the same thing.

    Grease soaked napkin

First thing I like to say is our server Yolanda did a fine job and had nothing to do with this. They updated their menu and when we asked the manager why she said that's the way it is and basically walked away well they've changed their menu and their cooks do not care about food quality or presentation. Our food came and we ordered two of the same dishes French toast with sausage and over medium eggs. On my father's plate there were only two sausages and one strip of bacon which was not ordered on my plate there was three sausages the eggs were cooked fine but they were so greasy that I have a picture of a napkin that you'll see that is soaked in Grease because they don't know how to flip eggs obviously the French toast was had big holes in it and so 2/3 of the slice of bread was missing when we told the manager about it she says oh well I'm sorry and walked away this was the second time with poor food quality and service the first time was kind of okay because they only had one server on but they had like six managers trying to help in any way they can they even come part of our meal that time because of the weight without us even having to ask but the food was very low quality the manager's attitude was poor there's no reason to go to this restaurant for anything in the future. The manager's name was Jennifer

Well it no longer has its famous buffet it has plenty of options at reasonable prices. Service is good and they let you take your time with no rush to kick you out and make you pay. Of note you pay at the register on your way back into the casino.

I used to drive from Palm Desert for their Carne Asada Pizza. I was devastated to find out that it is no longer on their menu. I work at Bill's pizza, which is pretty bomb, but driving to Coachella for that Pizza with the chile verde sauce, carne asada, jalapeño, cilantro, and queso fresco was sooo worth it. They have other dishes that are good, but it was the pizza that was worth the drive. Pleeeeeeaaaase bring it back.

I am telling you; I am telling you... this place never disappoints. i have there so many times and the food has always been great. You can place your order online and go pick it up. If you eat at the restaurant, they take a bit long to serve you your food, but well worth the wait. This past week we were down in La Quinta and decided to get dinner at Cafe 54. We place the order online and went to pick it up. It was so delicious. I had the 14oz Prime Rib dinner for $28 and my wife had Trio entree made up of 3 lobster tails plus vegetables and mashed potatoes. I was intrigued. Will be going back. Love the casino too, it is never crowded.

Prime rib So much fat Horrible flavor But nice waiter

The prime rib dinner Cold And more than 1/2 Was all fat See photo Server was nice Never again

I love the way make their chilaquiles - with tortilla chips that still have that satisfying crunch to them!

Cafe 54 has been a go-to spot for my family for a while now, specifically for breakfast. I'm unsure how their lunch/dinner service is like these days, so I have no input on that. The pandemic has drastically changed how they operate, having gone from a buffet-style eatery to a more limited menu. But truth be told, this has been a blessing in disguise. There's still something for everyone. Feel like some simple eggs, hashbrowns and bacon? They got it. Pancakes? Covered. Feeling more like country fried chicken or chilaquiles? Yup and yes. It might not be 5-star, but the food is good and the choices aren't overwhelming...which is great, because like many cannot, I cannot be trusted to make sound decisions before a cup of coffee in the morning.

While the coffee shop is run in a food truck, please remember to enter the driveway slowly and respectfully. It's a hidden entrance-it has a big coffee banner at the entrance of the garden/front lot. There's a gravel road--make sure to enter with caution. I pre-ordered the nutcracker latte which they sadly did not have, but Carina was gracious to make different lattes to make up for it. She was very welcoming despite the current tourist clientele regarding Coachella. I've noticed during these times, other coffee shops tend to be a bit disrespectful, even though I grew up here, but seldom visit. This wasn't the case here, Carina was very warm in her reception. We even discussed family, where I'm from, she was more than happy to meet a new customer. I wound up getting the hazelnut oat milk latte and the Abuelita cafe with oat milk. My drink was the abuelita and it was delicious, subtle coffee taste, but just the right amount. --For those looking for a bit more coffee, please assure to let them know in advance if you want extra shots. Needless to say she won me over and I'll happily be back! 10/10 service, 10/10 drinks!

That's really what keeps me coming back. The only issue I've run into (twice now) is with takeout, and it's been a little frustrating. The first time I ordered takeout, I waited inside for about 20 minutes. I started noticing people who ordered after me (and were dining in) getting their food before me. When I finally went up to check, my order had just been sitting there the whole time -- no one ever called my name. Gave it another shot today, thinking maybe it was just a one-off. This time I was told to wait outside for takeout and that someone would call me. I got my coffee within the first five minutes, but then waited another 15-20 minutes while, again, people who ordered after me were getting their food. I asked an employee to check, and she brought my order out right away but unfortunately it was cold. So it seems like it had been sitting there again, and no one came out to the takeout area. It's a bummer because the food itself is really good, but the takeout system definitely needs some work. Whether it's calling out names more clearly or having someone dedicated to takeout orders, something needs to be tightened up. So the food is worth it, and I do want to support them. I'll be back this summer to give takeout another shot and see if things have improved.
