We came here for Breakfast. We were seated quickly and offered coffee from Emilio. He was pleasant and welcoming. Our waitress Griesla came along soon and gave suggestions and took out order. On a recent trip to California, my Aunt & I popped into the Pom Restaurant located in the Hotel at Fantasy Springs We had a most delightful experience. Our server, Joel, was very hospitable and attentive. We went on a Friday early evening. The atmosphere is very relaxing. Several patrons were at the bar as well as at several tables. My Aunt & I shared a leisurely meal which included three appetizers and a caesar salad. Our server informed us of the option to order a 1/2 portion of the salad. It was a good choice. All the appetizers were very tasty especially the three different sauces that accompanied the hot wings: Jalapeño bbq, Blue Cheese & Avocado Ranch. We ate at Pom during the last night of our stay at fantasy Springs. We ordered a calamari for an appetizer. It came out really quickly. It was room temperature. It was not hot. It was pretty good though, and I like how they put the marinara sauce at the bottom For entrées we got the rotisserie chicken and the Latin surf and turf. The rotisserie chicken was cooked well and the steak was good. The lobster however, was Baja lobster and that is neither my preference for my husband's but we did eat it with the steak and it was fine. The mashed potatoes were good that came with the rotisserie chicken. The rice and beans that came with the steak and lobster were pretty good. For dessert we got the mango cheesecake and the apple pie à la mode. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves. We enjoyed the exceptional service by the food runner and water refill guy ....didn't get his name. He was fairly new. Our server was fine as well. We didn't see him much we saw the guy serving the water and bread more and he took great care of us. The restaurant is really DARK inside. Each time we go here we are sorry we went. This last time was the final time. We live here in Indio. The time before this was a year ago and we got food poisoning so we haven't been going back. Someone I work with said that the food had gotten better. Our power was out on Saturday so we decided to go to Pom for lunch to relax and get out of the heat. This was the brunch menu which we had never tried. It wasn't busy at all maybe 4 tables bing used.Firstly, the service was not good. The woman just seemed clueless and talk about slow! Took almost 40 minutes to get our food. You could tell she left the food in the kitchen too long as the tortillas were all soggy and breaking apart and the whipped cream on the waffle had melted!! Pork Belly tacos that were on a single tortilla, weird sauce on them that wasn't good, NO salsa, just a smattering of pico and some bad pickled onions. The pork had been deep fried as were the potatoes....YUK everything deep fried with zero flavor. Had to ask for some other corn tortillas as these were falling apart and they need to double up on the tortilla. Had to ask for salsa and that didn't even help with the taste. We also had a banana fosters' waffle that was soggy and just tasted like sugar. Not good. However the worst was trying to get service, trying to get our check to leave because we were both having to run to the head!! Yep....food poisoning AGAIN. Third time now. We spent the next hour in the bathrooms in the lobby before we could go home. By the time I reached my home I was throwing up. My husband said how in the heck do you get food poisoning from a waffle!! I'm sorry nothing against the people giving this place 5 stars but clearly they do not know what good food is.This is not good food or service. After trying it 6 times now and 3 out of the 6 times we were ill I don't think so! My husband has a cast iron stomach as well, however he spent the next 3 hours in the bathroom!! We finally take advantage of the dinner spot omg very nice and welcoming. The waitress "Maria" was amazing so polite and very good what she does recommending what to get on the menu. We decided on the steak & lobster was delicious so tender and omg the lobster was on point with bake potato perfect touch. Every time we about to ask for something our glasses was always full. Then we got desert hot cookie skillet with vanilla ice cream was mind blowing. Nice touch on the table with a lit candle on the table the ambiance is perfect for date night. Bad,don't go here. Ordered a margarita with no salt got one with salt. Ordered a chicken avocado sandwich with mayo on the side, Maria brought the sandwich with extra mayo on the side(I guess from now on I have to specify NO MAYO). Got 2 Philly cheese sandwiches(4 at the table) worst sandwich ever,cheese didn't even melt and the peppers were raw also the fries were stone cold. If I had to do over I would eat before going and if I had to eat there I would definitely eat elsewhere! If we were not with another couple I would he a made a scene. Tried this place by walking to the food court, but this caught my friend and I eyes. The menu was out front and it was sounding very tasty to us. The host led us in and said they had room and was still open. I was very happy because, after dancing good food is needed. It's down on the lower level when you go to be seated and it's a very nice upscale place to eat. I like how you have to walk down into the restaurant and the decor is nice and elegant, and very romantic if you go on a date this would be perfect! Our server Gabriel was amazing and he had sense of humor and just the best! I'm happy we had him because he was very easy going and attentive the whole time. Everything we asked for he brought without any issue. For my drink I ordered the Pomade cocktail and it was pretty good and fruity flavor, but very refreshing. For my entree I ordered the chicken with spinach, and potatoes. It was very good fresh and hot, which I like when my food comes out. Even the bread was very good and freshly made. I usually don't eat bread but I was very hungry could not help it! So Pom, it's a no brainer, I will be back when I come to Indio for sure. Went here for dinner last weekend with family and wow what an enjoyable experience! The food was spectacular as we had a shrimp appetizer don't remember exactly what is was called but it was delicious! I chose the meatloaf for the main meal which came with mashed potatoes and man it it came out steaming hot and fresh and covered in gravy and it was so good and filling best meatloaf I've ever had! We sat at the bar and the bartender was super attentive and professional making the service amazing and the experience that much better! As for the ambiance it was very casual and relaxing and enjoyable not like some restaurants were it's all loud and fast paced hustle and bustle! I was excited to see that the pesky flies were no longer around and the service was great! I hadn't had carrot juice in years and just thought it was the best thing I had to drink in a long time ! Our order was taken and when they brought my guests grapefruit juice out the young man looked over and me and said "we're out of carrot juice would you like orange juice?" I said "no can I see the menu so I can choose what I want?" He brought me a menu and proceeded to try to tell me all the juices they had and asked " are you going to change your order? I said no can I please look at the menu so I can decide on my 3rd item? It felt rushed and a bit annoying... Then our waitress walked over and I asked if I could get the wheat toast and she proceeded to tell me "we're out of carrot juice " Yes I know! That's why I'm picking something else! My husband and I had dinner here last night since we were staying one night at Fantasy Springs. The restaurant its self is nice away from the casino noise and smoke. There are stairs leading down to the restaurant and there also an elevator. We ordered the special burger and I ordered fajitas half chicken and half beef. The portion of fajitas is enough for 3 maybe 4 people it's a lot of food. The rice was better than other places the beans very small portion and not that great, the flour tortillas were good. The fajitas had plenty of onions, bell peppers and very flavorful. Joel our waiter made several recommendations but unfortunately most of the recommendations were shell fish which I'm allergic to. I mention my shellfish allergy to Joel and he said they don't use separate fryers so that was important information to me that he told me because most wait staff won't tell me even after I tell them about my shellfish allergy so I was impressed with his knowledge of the kitchen and how food is fried, so no fried items for me! My husband said the burger was good but wasn't too fond of the Cajun french fries but over all he was happy with his meal. Especially the chicken picatta special with the noodles. The sauce on it was to die for! We asked to be moved due to the AC blowing hard onto us. The service is always top notch and the ambiance is upscale comfortable. Great valet parking or plenty of parking in the lots. You can get a reservation on OpenTable or call directly. We were at Fantasy Spring for a concert and able to call earlier in the day for a same day reservation at 530pm. It is located at the bottom floor by going down the stairs after you check in with the hostess. They do have an elevator if needed. The food is actually just okay here. Our group of 5 shared a fried calamari and it was a bit too toasty, it was like eating fried batter. This dish is actually spicy but you can ask for the sauce on the side. My pacific sea bass definitely would use a lot more salt, same for my friend's salmon. My other friend ordered a medium steak, but she said it was very tough to cut because it was well done. We were short on time since we had to go to a concert, so we didn't bother to send the dishes back. Our waiter Bobby was a delight , and so were other servers who kept refilling our water. The best item was actually the bread basket and soft butter. Overall 3.5 starts for okay food, but good service. read more

Everyone has it together and they work as a team to execute great efficient service. I literally walked my mom through the steps of service that should've happened and as I said something, the team delivered.. from the mise en place to the detailing of the table, it felt like it was a five diamond dining experience. I made sure to tell the service team and manager they are trained well. My mom had the penne pasta à la vodka, and I had a personalized Cobb salad. I am very particular about my Cobb salad and Matt was listening. He repeated the order back and when it was presented to me, it was exactly the way I wanted it. Check periodically and the right time to make sure everything was OK.. Of the moment was when he asked if I wanted to take an iced tea to go. This is exceptional service, attentive, discreet and not intrusive but slightly personalized and very friendly. The restaurant is clean, classy and has a warm feel to it. The staff are excellent, our waitress Wendy was so kind and attentive! The food came out to us quickly and was delicious. I noticed the Chicken Truffle Macaroni in bold letters on the menu and immediately had to try it! It's sooo good! The chicken was slightly dry but overall it was flavorful and the pasta was cooked to perfection The cheese sauce was gourmet and I'd recommend it to any pasta lover. The portion could be a bit bigger, but it was still satisfying! Just make sure you grab an appetizer. We have the hummus and pita in our party and two out of three hummus choices are pretty darn good. We needed more pita though, we only got a couple chips. This restaurant has Mexican, Italian, Mediterranean and more! The restaurant is pricey but casual. read more
