Came here because it is a popular spot for one specific celebrity I love so wanted to check it out! We went during a heat wave and this was the perfect spot to grab some coffee and smoothies before heading back home. The staff is very friendly and helpful when you don't know what to choose (there are so many options for coffee). We also got the pastries which were really good. read more

Second time giving this place a try...the line was to the door but it went by quick. I ordered the banana bread latte because I saw it was one of the baristas favorite. My hubby got the cinnamon roll latte. I also wanted a breakfast bagel but the cashier said they were out (at 11am) ;( Service was nothing special. We actually got our coffees pretty quick even if there were a lot of people. My husband and I were very disappointed when we tried our coffees. While it's located in a strip mall, the interiors are tastefully decorated and give off cozy vibes, and there's nice outdoor seating as well. It's got a leg up on Starbucks with an extensive menu of creative drink combinations. I went with a half sweet macadamia nut white chocolate latte (4.5/5) which was a unique and great tasting drink without many hints of bitterness. The chocolate croissant (4/5) was light and airy, but was a bit of a mess to eat with chocolate getting all over your hands. Service (5/5) was nice and friendly, helping us navigate the menu and answering questions we had about the unique drink options. Stop by VCH due to the hype on Yelp. When I got there, the line was out the door. Despite the long line, the baristas worked fast to take and make orders. The coffee shop was cute but cramped. The outside seating was a lot more spacious and good for groups. We ordered an iced vanilla latte, a breakfast bagel and two plain bagels with cream cheese. The iced vanilla latte was decent. Not amazing but good for caffeinating me on an early morning drive. The breakfast bagel sandwich was greasy/oily. The taste of oil overpowered the bacon, egg and cheese flavor. Next time I'm in Indio, I'll stop by for coffee, but I'll skip the sandwich. read more

I used to stop here daily in high school before it was "Vintage Coffee." I used to love Old Town Coffee Company, but after it changed to Main St..not as good and I find myself stopping at Vintage again. Amazing all around! The person who checked us out was great and knew the sugar free flavors and menu options off the top of her head which was nice. Our order came out fast. The sugar free hazy was great! During my vacation in Palm Desert I had some errands to run. Of course I had to check out a cute coffee shop that I've never been to. I had to move quickly because they were due to close in an hour and with holiday hours being different than what's posted I needed to move quickly. The Vintage Coffee House was like a vintage Christmas house. The decor was so festive, sweet, and heart warming. I noticed that a few locals were popping in and ordering their fav drinks. The menu had a bunch of holiday drinks that looked really delicious. I opted for my usual, an iced americano, although I felt the need to get it with a pump of tiramisu syrup. Wow!!! It was really tasty and one pump was just enough sweetness. Next time I visit Palm Desert I will take a little ride to Indio and visit The Vintage Coffee House. We have seen on social media that the vintage coffee house was a popular coffee shop and before we headed back home we decided to check it out. It is located in a big plaza but parking was still hard to find. The line was already out the door but since we were there we waited. There was a good sized patio area with a lot of seating. Once we made it inside the first thing we noticed was how hot it was in there! Could've been all the people inside but it really was uncomfortable. They have a lot of pastries, bagels and sandwiches on the menu. The pastries in the display all looked so good. Since we had a long drive ahead we got some to go. We ordered a plain and a jalapeño bagel both toasted with cream cheese, a cheese danish and a blueberry scone. For drinks we got an ice blended vanilla coffee and an iced banana bread latte with an extra shot. Our drinks came out fast and we just had to wait for the bagels. The back corner was less crowded and much cooler. There are a couple tables inside and more outside seating as well. My favorites were the blueberry scone and the jalapeño bagel. Our drinks were just okay, nothing to rave about. Service was fast and only 2 of the staff seemed friendly. Maybe it was just so busy? Overall I would only come back for the jalapeño bagel. read more

Kind and fast staff! Cute and cozy spot, however the coffee is not good. Me and my friends ordered 4 different coffee drinks but all espresso tasted burnt. I got a blueberry pancake latte, and after the burnt taste of espresso, the blueberry was very bitter. Not a creamy drink whatsoever. My boyfriend got a banana bread latte, which was the best out of the 4 drinks we purchased but still not that great. Artificial banana flavor. I love going to this coffee shop! One of my favorite places to go to in the valley. The blonde girly with bangs and brunette girly with tattoos have amazing customer service. My friend and I couldn't understand what the worker was saying at the cash register because she was mumbling. The worker got frustrated and began to speak to us like we were dumb. She was asking if we wanted "2% milk" (we could not understand what she was asking) and by the third time when she was frustrated and asked "is _____ 2% _______ milk______ good_____ for____ you?" With pauses between each word. We didn't need that... we just needed her to pronounce her words.. not to talk to us like we were toddlers. Just went to the vintage coffee house for the first time. Visiting in town for stagecoach and this was nearby our campgrounds. Our security guard actually told us about it so we told who we would check it out. We got a mocha blend, caramel blend and a cappuccino. We were starving so we got the Asiago bagel bacon egg and cheese. The line was out the door but it moved super quick. The staff is friendly and efficient. They also had plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and games to play which we loved. Overall great vibe. This is hands down my favorite coffee place in the desert. The location is great, the ambiance is welcoming and well done, and most importantly, the coffee is exceptional -- you can really taste the quality in every cup. I have come here sporadically over the years as this location is convenient and next to my local grocery store in the desert. While there is a Starbucks nearby I would rather support a small mom & pop so I try to come in here when I remember and am craving a refreshing drink. This spot seems to be a favorite amongst the locals and it can get busy. I definitely recommend coming on the earlier side unless you don't mind waiting. I like that you'll find lots of regulars here. One of the best things about this spot is they are dog friendly and don't have any issues with your pup being at their outdoor patio. The staff are always nice from my experience and do their best to get you in and out, even when they are busy. The atmosphere is comfortable and welcoming. I have some other coffee spots that I've enjoyed more in the desert which is why I think this spot is a solid 4 stars all day long. Again, out of convenience this cafe always comes in clutch and I'm happy to have them nearby. I've tried their smoothies and ice blended drinks and they are all pretty standard but good. Usually my go to here though is an iced vanilla latte. For the first time today I tried one of their breakfast sandwiches and it definitely hit the spot! The egg was fluffing and the sandwich was well constructed and tasty for an on the go coffee shop hot meal. I appreciate that they have a good variety here as my fiend was able to get a breakfast bagel and the other a breakfast croissant sandwich. We all had different vessels for our breakfast sandwiches yet we were all happy and pleased. A nice place to grab a bite and some coffee on this side of town. read more

20th anniversary day 3.... last day in the desert. Was going to go to a local breakfast joint but it was $20 for a burrito. Opted for VCH. Walked up and it is welcoming. There was a small line and a little food menu at the front. We decided on the vintage breakfast sandwich. It was a little confusing on what drinks to order, but I went with the Nat- chocolate coconut cold brew. Pretty good. Husband got the Carmel mocha cold. Also good. They ran out of muffins so we got it on a croissant. Simple but tasty. I like this place and it was packed. We sat outside which has a nice vibe. The staff were very friendly. I didn't ask, but almost wish I had a bit more help picking a drink. I should have said, first time visitor (not on them at all) overall a 5 star and I highly recommend if you are tired of that chain sh*t! Thanks VCH. read more

This coffee place might be my new favorite in the valley! The chocolate croissant was absolutely delicious and flaky. I got the tiramisu latte which was a barista recommendation. I am so sad to write this review. I'm a local and have lived here since 1979 but only found this place about a year ago. I live on the other end of town and don't get over that way much. That being said, once I found it I was hooked. I loved the coffee and the vibe. And they are usually so friendly. Today, that all changed. My best friend came to town and I wanted to take her there. We drove from Palm Desert just to get coffee at VCH. I ordered first and a young guy took my order. I get the same thing every time. I placed my order and paid. Then my friend ordered. As she was ordering, the owner came over and asked the guy that took my order (who was now on the other side of the counter cleaning up) what he wrote on my cup. She couldn't read what I had ordered. He told her and she made the drink. I took one sip and knew it was wrong. I asked if they had made it with oatmilk (I just prefer it) and they said no. I noticed it wasn't written on the cup either but I thought I had paid for the "upgrade" as my friend even heard me ask for it and he repeated it back! So the owner then turns to the girl that's there making drinks with her and says "and now we will learn about waste!" She then goes to th register as I'm waiting for her to remake it, and I assume checks to see if I was charged. Apparently I was not. Instead of just remaking it she called the guy back over and told him to charge me in a new transaction. He called me over and had me pay the extra $1.13 for the oatmilk. I went and paid it however I felt like they all thought I was lying or trying to get it for free. The owner left right after that and the guy said it was his fault, but I felt so gross. The vibe was not good and sadly now I never want to go back. And for this to be my first experience with my friend there. Also, after I paid the extra for the oat milk, I went to the window to wait for my drink to be made again and my friend told me it had already been brought to the table?? No writing on it. A different lid than I've ever had on it. And no sorry or "here you go!" Just a silent drop off that screamed "inconvenient, thief" It also still wasn't made right and wasn't good. After all that. Such a nice place ! Very cool decor, very comfortable, lots of seating outside. I just wish .... I had remembered I had visited this place before. However, it was such a long time ago ... I forgot. So I visited this store like a child that just opened up their Christmas presents ... And then .... BOOM..., the "hammer" fell.., and I was despondent .. They have matcha lattes... but they come pre-sweetened and pre-mixted with vanilla flavor which is a no bueno for me. So instead of giving the store a bad rating for not having what I wanted. They have created a warm and cozy coffee house, that is welcoming and relaxing. Great place for food, drinks, and just hanging out as well. Kristin (the owner of this coffee shop) is the sweetest human ever. She treats all of her customers like family. The community and people here (including employees, lex and more) are everything. And to top it off, the coffee, bagels and pastries are even better. It is so cozy and brings a homey feeling in here with rustic vibes and a nice patio!!! Embarrassing. Just left this place after the employee by accident spilt coffee all over my daughters 45 dollar sandals and it got all over her legs and my purse. I am a good person and drop things all the time, make mistakes but the nasty woman Alexis came over and had a little attitude to begin with " do you have a compliant" she asked. Yes, I kinda do. Coffee was spilt all over the place and you have a little attitude with me little 20 something year old who knows nothing about working. They asked to wash my kids shoes after I already washed them. They are destroyed still. I would have preferred if they would have given us a coffee or something and that would have made me happier. Instead I left and she says in front of people " how rude are people." LOL something like that. This lady should be fired, please learn how to manage. read more

The employee taking orders got mine wrong and she then looked at the employee next to her and said she was gonna lose it (not the wording she actually used*** was worse) if another person asked her to remake their drink or roll their eyes at her. Awesome coffee. There's a serious lack of good cafes in this part of La Quinta but this place makes up for it 110%. There's indoor and outdoor seating, and the inside is decorated with all kinds of amusing vintage coffee signage and decor. The staff is extremely friendly and always greets you with a smile. Their iced vanilla latte is delicious, not like other places that fill theirs with sour sugars and flavorings *cough* starbucks *cough* Also really appreciate that they're open for so long! 6-4pm everyday, as of this review.
