I haven't been into cactus club for the last 4 years . I am a realtor in PDCC and haven't been into the cactus club for 5 years I was driving by and hungry so I went in today and wow am I happy I did . I had the best salad I have had anywhere in the desert and the best beet salad in my life . I may go back tomorrow for another one . Went there for the music that night. Clubhouse bar looked a little aged and u could smell the smoke because the slider was open. Band was playing outside. Very sweet server and a delicious patty melt and 1 of the best Arnold palmers in the desert. It was very dark outside and a little trouble to find this country club. Not very well signed. Had a bad experience there I was with friends had a drink and buffet at a table of 4 people . I went outside my neighbor was running home on golf cart . The girl supervisor came running after me down the driveway . and said they you didn't pay . I told her I be right back I was just going to get a jacket . when I got back I said I pay for my buffet she said over here but my meal was added together with my friend. I paid it . and then they the girls started yelling at me I was walking out of my bill that they never seen me before and I should have told them I was leaving . I said really when my table was still there she said how did we know they were going to pay for your bill . I can't believe they have employee that treat customer that way I will never go back and also I have friends that don't go there for the same reason read more

If you're looking for a clean place that's great for catching a desert sunset with a solid basic menu at GREAT prices, then you're looking for the Cactus Club in Palm Desert Country Club. Their happy hour menu features adult beverages for $3.50!!! And the happy hour food menu is only $7!!! Free live music (good music too!) on Friday and Saturday nights. This is one of those places that I hesitate to review because it's the best kept secret and I don't want it to get too crowded. Then again, I want them to be able to stay in business. Just had Thanksgiving dinner there yesterday. Three course dinner (salad, a nice turkey plate with trimmings and pie)...for a very reasonable price. And excellent warm sour dough rolls. Our group ate on the patio and everyone enjoyed their dinner. Would have been 5 stars...except SMOKING on the patio. Even though it was outside we could smell it. This is me and my friends' go to place for happy hour and music on either Friday or Saturday night. Whenever my San Diego friend visits, this is where we go. Always a great band playing. We like to sit by the fire pits since most of the outdoor tables are reserved. Great happy hour pricing and solid menu to order food. Service can be spotty but we come to relax and not rush. read more

Not going to lie, this place is the BOMB. It is so under rated for how awesome the staff and food is here. I get the fish tacos and a pitcher of budlight on saturdays during the day when my buddy ronnie comes into town. We love coming here, its close, they know that we live close by so they drink us under the table and we walk home. Martin is the man!! He always recognizes us and immediately knows what we want and brings it out quickly and loves to chat it up and make jokes with us! You da man Martin!I love to sit outside during season but the inside is a nice simple atmosphere also. They have $20 prime rib nights OUT OF NOWHERE THAT IS THE DEAL OF THE DESERT. My bf and I went last week to check it out as I recently moved across the street. It is open to the public and located at The palm desert country club. Last week we listened to the band and had a drink. There was a private party that was to start at 9. We were there at 7:30. The private party guests were very rude and unfriendly. Told us we couldn't sit at the fire pit by them. Left a bad taste to say the least. Icky people suck. Last night I called ahead to make sure we wouldn't encounter that same scenario, and to give it one more try. To our delight the haters weren't there and we had a wonderful time. We ordered a nice bottle of wine and had a great chicken Caesar salad and some cheeseburger sliders. There was a band on the patio from 6:30-9 that was wonderful. It was a lovely experience and I'm so happy that we gave it a second chance. We are looking forward to seeing the new friends we met there again soon. read more

Saw ad in paper for Thursday night pasta bar dinner for 12.95. It was excellent. Included soup & salad & garlic bread. Had 4 or 5 kinds of pasta plus gluten free. Chicken, bacon, sausage,meatballs, roasted veggies, broccoli, basil, pesto, garlic, tomatoes, snap peas & at least 4 sauces prepared by chef. All you can eat. It was outstanding. House wine was Sycamore Lane $4.17 a glass & was good. Beautiful setting at Palm Desert Country Club. Large inviting room with fireplace & bar. Outdoor seating with fire pits. Staff great. read more

Seriously, AWESOME! What an amazing find. A group of seven dined there tonight and our entire experience could not have been more enjoyable. Our table was initially set indoors, however, upon arrival, we requested outdoor seating. The Scottish manager was so nice and gracious about immediately accommodating our request. The table server was very cordial and attentive. The live band was fabulous. We ordered a variety of entrees including fish, chicken, liver, pasta and sliders. They were ALL reasonably priced and outstanding. Warm rolls and nice salads were also served with the entrees. Best of all was our waiter, Kyle. In addition to being serious "eye candy", he was so cordial, professional, checked with us often, knew the menu, made quality food recommendations and made sure our drinks were always filled! Love the bar and music, but everything we have ever tried on the menu is horrible. How do you screw up nachos? We thought after trying other items that were gross we would keep it simple and try them. Another big fail. Especially for the price they charge the quality of food does not match up. They should really bring in a good chef and make this the great place that has the potential for high ratings and more customers. Any I've asked has had same experience with the food. Please do something this place could be awesome read more

we love this place. all the bartenders are knowledgeable and very nice. The prime rib is the best I have had in the desert. they have a prime rib night on Saturday night. I think the price is $22.95 and you get a choice of salad or soup and choice of potatoes. read more

Perfect turkey with all of the fixings and a beautiful roast sirloin of beef plus a salad buffet and dessert bar. I seriously don't get the rave reviews. I'm in from out of town and my business partner and I lean on Yelp for a dinner spot near our hotel. Based on the reviews we travel through some sketchy neighborhood turned retirement community to a third tier golf club which houses the Cactus Club. At 7pm on a Tuesday the only thing available is the Taco Tuesday buffet. Seriously folks this is what your giving 5 stars? read more

Just finished lunch at the Cactus Club at Palm Desert CC. We had the lunch special, chicken club w bacon and Swiss cheese. The food was fantastic. Service was very impressive. Martin, our waiter was very pleasant and very attentive. Wonderful experience! read more
