Despite there being plenty of open seating available, she attempted to place us in the back near the restrooms. As a Black man, it felt troubling to be treated this way. I politely requested a table by the window, and we were seated there. We tried to enjoy our meal, but the food was lacking the quality and care I had previously experienced. To add to my dissatisfaction, after paying the bill and leaving a tip, the owner simply tossed my receipt on the table without acknowledging me. This behavior spoke volumes and solidified my decision not to return. I can only hope that the establishment finds its way back to the level of love and service it once provided.
