I had the California Omelet with Egg whites. The omelet was quite good. The addition of the chicken sausage was different and really good! And I had a Hazelnut Latte which needed nothing else to it. It was perfect for my taste. My spouse had chocolate chip pancakes. He was happy with the meal. However, he didn't favor the home fries. I'll admit, they could have been a little crispier for our liking. To each their own. The service was awesome. The ambiance is a laid back neighborhood diner. You can see they have a lot of locals, as they are a live music venue on the weekends. It feels very inviting like a refuge from the city craziness. read more

Came here for a birthday breakfast for my mom and it was great. The cafe is small but charming, you can tell it has been here for a while and is a favorite to a lot of folks. The staff were super nice, the menu has tons of options, and the portions were huge. My brother got the Mexican omelette, I got the biscuits and sausage gravy, and my mom the Mexican chilaquiles. We hadn't eaten breakfast and we were looking for a place that had breakfast around noon. My omelet was stuffed with fresh tomatoes and spinach. The sourdough toast with butter was perfectly toasted and the right amount of butter. The coffee was good. My family members were happy with their food as well. The owner Pat checked on us. She introduced us to the chef. The host and staff were all attentive to all the patrons. There is art for sale that you can purchase, lots of great photos of The Bay area. The seating was comfy with cushioned benches as well as regular chairs. I would definitely return when I am in San Francisco! read more

We were visiting SF for a few days, and we were looking for a breakfast spot. We wanted a restaurant that was too far to walk to, but not too far to drive to. Why? We were going to take a Waymo (for the first time) to the restaurant, and were a little wary of driving too far with no one in the car except us. We made it - the ride was smooth and relaxing - however, the Waymo stopped just around the block from Pat's - it was a 'quick walk around the block'. We saw the party next to us had ordered pancakes and French Toast, both of which looked good. However, we both opted for the omelettes with biscuits and potatoes. I had cheese, mushrooms, onions and peppers. My partner had the same, only substituting the peppers for spinach. The omelettes were delicious-they must whip the eggs quite well to get such a fluffy and light texture. While the veggies tasted vibrant and fresh, the vegetables were not sautéed at all. I was a little surprised that they were added after slicing, as I'm used to a softer veggie in my omelette. The biscuits were very good - we asked for honey to drizzle on top, which is a favorite of mine! The potatoes were excellent - not greasy with a nice grill on the outside and soft inside. read more

Holly Shishito Peppers Batman! This place is amazing. Came at lunch on Sunday and it was packed to the rafters. Everyone on Yelp was raving on the crepes and pancakes. My Mom makes the best crepes so I went with one pancake since I sensed that would be enough, especially since I was gonna get the biscuits and gravy. The plate came and I was like Holy Toledo Robbin. The picture does not give it justice. There was so much food and so good. The pancake had to be a foot wide, and it came with melted butter already on it. I love butter with my pancake. There were 3 fluffy biscuits and massive amounts of gravy, plus two eggs and potatoes. I was in breakfast heaven. The biscuits and gravy were better than I have had in TX and that says something. I love Pat's Cafe. Service is always thorough and helpful, and food comes out quickly. Today I got the Ranchero breakfast which is a fried crispy corn tortilla topped with black beans, egg, cheese and on the side there is sour cream and avocado. It's super tasty. Got there at about 10:00am on Friday for breakfast and got seated pretty quickly. The food was magnificent, everyone in my party ate every crumb on their plates. The place was quaint and cozy. They have artworks adorning on the walls for sale as well. Overall, slightly pricey, but expected in SF. A great place to quickly grab a meal. Totally recommend! read more

Excellent! Great place off the tourist path a little but really close to the bottom of Lombard St where you'll take photos of the crooked street. Loved the food, super great service, and kick ass Brazilian dude playing music out front. Had a margarita which was great. Coffees were excellent. Pats hash was amazing. Avocado toast excellent. Delicious Breakfast at Pat's Café I had a chance to stop by Pat's Cafe for breakfast during the work week. Even though I wasn't very hungry, the Polk Street Omelet caught my eye, so I ordered it along with a cup of regular coffee. The omelet is made with bacon, ham, bell peppers, onions, and cheddar cheese, and it comes with home fries and your choice of toast. The coffee was still great! I loved its flavor, just as I did on my last visit a few years back. The omelet was as good as I hoped it would be. While sitting and sipping my coffee, I noticed how the staff interacted with other customers. I was so impressed with their attention to every table that I had to compliment Ricardo, who served my table, and the young lady who seemed to be the manager. They were both so attentive that it made me wish I could hire them if I were a restaurant owner! The place is cozy and well-maintained. The bad...every single up charge item was missed- ordered blueberry pancakes, got plain; ordered bacon, real maple syrup...doesn't seem like much but when added up, on a $71.00 bill, that is a 10-12% overcharge, not to mention the loss of business as I will not be ordering here again On a final note, the food we got was good and the portions we perfect size. read more

Arriving at 10:30am on a Sunday and only one couple in the entire place made me a little nervous - were the reviews wrong? Had the place shifted owners and fallen from grace? Uh oh... Anyway, I sat down, was promptly asked if I wanted something to drink and handed the menu. Coffee arrived before I had read through the menu, nice. Pondered the options for a while and settled on the veggie hash with sunny side up eggs, toast and slices of bacon as an extra. As I was waiting for my food the place started to fill up! I needed have worried! By the time my food arrived the place was pleasantly buzzing with conversations from more than half of the tables, and by the time I finished my plate the restaurant was almost full. Was walking around town and stumbled upon Pat's Cafe. Looked like a little hole in the wall and decided to give it a try, because why not. The Food: After browsing their menu, it was hard to decide on something, but eventually I landed on the "French Toast Special". The French Toast was amazing. Huge pieces of toast and the flavor from the cinnamon and syrup were delicious! I got mine with scrambled eggs and sausage. The sausage was good, but lacked a bit of something. I can't really put my finger on it, but it was just okay. The eggs were good, just normal eggs. The Service: Service was great! The wait staff were friendly and accommodating. They definitely made our meal more enjoyable. The Atmosphere: Restaurant is nicely decorated. Definitely a hole in the wall spot. Plenty of seating indoors. Overall, a 4/5! I wasn't hungry when I walked past passed Pats, however the sign really drew me in. Pat is way my friends have called me over the past 8+ years. I got to chance to sit next to the window and the ambiance was just truly wonderful. Staff was so friendly! Since I wasn't hungry, I decided to get a dessert - crepes! They were light and fluffy, filled with plenty of Nutella and topped with fresh fruit. The price was also super reasonable and looked like a lot of locals come there. read more

This place was so good! The service was great and everyone was so friendly. The staff were so attentive and kind. They never let your water cup get empty lol! The vibe in there was great too, with art on the walls and a nice, warm, and welcoming feel. The food was the best part though! I had a pancake with a side of bacon and it was probably the best pancake I've ever had. I stole some of my wife's home fries and they were perfect. My wife also said her mocha cafe was amazing! We are not local to the area, but if we were I'd definitely be coming back!
