We ordered a few different dishes to get a feel for the restaurant as a whole. First, the restaurant had ample seating, and we were sat quickly. Seats behind me had enough room for both my party and the party behind us to get out easily. Service was a little slow. Having to ask to refill our coffee should not come up, especially when the restaurant was not super busy. Some of the food was good, some was not what I would have expected. The salted caramel macchiato was cute with the coffee ice bear on top, and tasted good. The Tom Yum burrito was good. It didn't need the sauce but that added even more flavor. I do recommend this. The fried chicken eggs Benedict was mid. I truly expected more from this. The outside part of the chicken had no flavor, and even the hollandaise sauce was slightly disappointing. I'd give it a 3/5. We also ordered the Dungeness crab omelet. It was extremely bland. The crab also was old, it tasted fishy. I would not get that again. As it was the most expensive dish in the menu, it should have popped.
I'm someone who is vegetarian (no eggs) and I don't eat onions or mushroom. I loved that they had at least 1 vegan option in their menu and they even accommodated my other needs for the meal. The Tofu Scramble was good, and I like the salad and fries a lot. The service was really good, our server was super kind and helpful. The ambiance and the overall vibe of the place was so refreshing and nice. Very few places have a vegan/vegetarian brunch option and this is one of them
my party of 8 came at around 11 on sunday (father's day) and waited a little over 35 minutes to get seated. the eatery's atmosphere is bright, pleasant, and clean. the prices are pretty standard for brunch spots. in terms of food, i really liked my salmon toast. i kinda wish i tried their thai-adjacent dishes, but perhaps, i'll save that for next time.
Wonderful experience, I came on Mother's Day around 12:45pm and had to wait about 30 mins to get seated for a party of 6. The restaurant is beautiful with a lot of natural light, perfect ambiance for a brunch. They even had Mother's Day themed napkins which I thought was very nice. I really enjoyed the Lapisara burger though it's so humongous that it's actually a bit challenging to eat haha. The chicken and waffles were also very solid. I thought the Tom Yum burrito was a bit uninteresting. It was just a lot of rice wrapped up in a tortilla, the tom yum sauce it came with was good but it wasn't enough to make the dish amazing for me. Overall, excellent experience, I would highly recommend for a cutesy brunch.
We got the ube latte and iced Thai tea. The ube latte was nutty and delicious. I just wish it had been a tad bit hotter, but I'm sure you can ask for it extra hot. The iced Thai tea was well-balanced and not overwhelmingly sweet. The chicken waffle was also good--especially the chicken itself. It was lightly battered and crisp to perfection. I do wish the waffle was more toasted since it was a bit soggy even with barely any syrup. The fruits were fresh and tasted really yummy. As for the PaNang omelette, it was delicious!! It's filled with meat and vegetables, so it's pretty hearty. The curry was so good and had just the right amount of spice. I would highly recommend the PaNang omelette. Parking was difficult since it's in the Tenderloin, but it was definitely worth it. The workers are nice, and the place is really cute.
Came here because of the high review. This is was brunch menu. Ordered steak and eggs steak was very chewy. I ordered medium rare. Spicy bacon not spicy, more sweet than anything. It tasted like bacon and chamoy Please avoid ordering the chicken and waffles. The chicken had no flavor at all. Dry, not crispy and absolutely horrible... three people ordered it and they all tasted the same. It wasn't a mistake, it was intentional. Anyways won't be back and the service was mediocre.
Super cute cafe that's been in my bookmarks for over a year! Finally, we dined here on a weekday at around noon. Even found a parking spot right outside after circling once around the block. Thankfully, it wasn't crowded and there were a few tables available. I believe weekdays are less crowded. ***OUR PICKS*** CHICKEN WAFFLE ~ Their fried chicken is more crunchy and possibly done with mochiko flour. It has that texture verses fried chicken made with all purpose flour. Chicken was juicy and tender. Waffle was fluffy but not crispy. Nonetheless, it was enjoyable. The berries surrounding the waffle were nice and sweet. Portion is a bit smaller than the other dishes that we ordered. 4/5 FRIED CHICKEN EGGS BENEDICT ~ eggs perfectly oozy and delicious with the sauce! Crunchy chicken was good too! I only wished the potatoes had a crisp exterior. Still a yummy dish! 5/5 PERFECT PANCAKES ~ soft and fluffy pancakes with eggs over medium with chicken maple sausage. I didn't try this, but the person eating this was satisfied with it. 4.5/5 ICED UBE LATTE ~ really cute purple teddy bear ice cube sitting on a cloud of whipped cream and a daisy flower atop of lightly sweetened ube latte. Good till the last drop. Lovely and adorable! The bear stole my heart! 5/5 Wonderful service, delicious food, beautiful presentation, lovely atmosphere! Definitely a winner, in my book!
Delicious! Love that the Thai culture has fully embraced brunch and all these fusion brunch spots are popping up in the Bay Area. Came here for brunch with my girl and Lapisara did not disappoint. My cappuccino was delicious, strong, great foam ratio. Her ube latte was not overly sweet and good flavor. (Of course the cute cups were an added bonus). I ordered the panang beef omelette without the toast and it was so good! Flavorful, tender beef, egg was not over cooked and when you broke into the omelette the delicious curry started pouring out. Salad was fresh and potatoes crispy on the outside and creamy in the middle. My fried had the crab omelette which was also very good! Excited to come back and support this place, all their items look so delicious. Inside was very cute and modern, ample seating and very friendly staff.

However, our timing was perfect as we didn't have to wait for a table though the place is almost full. And I have to say, it didn't disappoint! It wasn't just a cutesy place with cute and Instagram worthy drinks but really flavorful meals, delicious drinks, reasonably priced,with nice and friendly staff. The food came quickly too. Would probably be back next time we're in the area!
The food here was so good: the fried chicken benedict was nicely portioned, the fry wasn't too oily, and for some reason the salad dressing paired so well. The iced bear in the ube latte was really cute and overall the drink was light and sweet. However the Thai tea was overly sweet. I only tried a small bite of the tom yum burrito -- this was my first trying fish sauce in a burrito and I would definitely try this in the future! It took a while to get seated even though the restaurant didn't seem too full for Saturday brunch. The tables are very comfy and service is attentive though! I wouldn't try parking around here, try to take public transit if you can help it

The best place to have breakfast/brunch in San Francisco! Bright, beautiful, and atmospheric interior where we enjoyed our meal. Delicious food with a huge variety of dishes to choose from. I came in at 9am on a Friday with a friend and got seated right away. The place was still packed, so it took a little while to order. There is a good amount of seating, but the tables are quite close to each other (your neighbors will be eavesdropping). We ordered the smoked salmon toast and a florentine benedict. The salmon was fresh and the toast was stacked! My friend wasn't too impressed with the benedict, but it was good. The side salad that it comes with is actually delicious! And if you have a sweet tooth, order an ube latte or thai tea, and finish with a Sweet Dream. It comes with waffles and a side of fruits, ice cream, fudge, and whipped cream. read more

Cute lil brunch spot in SF! The inside of the restaurant is quaint and cute and a casual vibe. Service was quick and attentive. On this day I was visiting multiple food spots so I didn't order much. I did order a peach mimosa and huevos rancheros to share. Not sure why I ordered the huevos rancheros as it wouldn't be a specialty but still delicious!! Came for a weekday brunch and was seated right away. The staff was super friendly and the there were so many creative options for thai-fusion dishes. The iced ube latte had such a rich, earthy ube taste (and the bear ice cube was so cute!!). Came here on a Fri morning for a late brunch (10:30 am) - I was staying in Union Square for a work conference and opted to take my out-of-town co-worker to an "Asian fusion" brunch, which seems to be a specialty in California. LOGISTICS If you're staying at a hotel in Union Square, this is a fairly short walk from the area via Post St... it wasn't too sketchy in the daytime. Just be advised not to overshoot or you may end up wandering into the Tenderloin neighborhood, which I don't advise for tourists. Regardless, it's a cute corner restaurant that gets a lot of natural lighting from the windows. Modern decor with airy vibes. We were able to get in without reservations on a Friday morning, but I imagine on weekends it might get crowded so expect a wait or make reservations in advanced by calling or using their email form on the website. FOOD Ube Latte ($6) - Points for presentation - this was served in a glass bear cup. I could taste the sweet potato flavor, so it was a nice morning pick me up to start the day. Whipped cream made it extra decadent. Tom Yum Burrito ($24) - Fusion burritos are popular in the Bay Area, and this one hits the spot. I like how it was super flavorful from the Tom Yum paste mixed in the rice and had quite a bit of protein between the mushrooms, egg, and chicken. They serve it hot so be advised not to burn your tongue when trying to devour it. The tortilla chips they served were also quite good! My only wish was that it came with a better salsa... the tomato based salsa they provided was just OK, but there could have been something more creative done. OVERALL Service was quick and efficient as we were able to order, get our food, and be out in within an hour on a Friday morning. For those on business travel, they're only willing to split checks between two cards. Food is expensive... but comparable to pricing for similar brunch experiences in the Bay Area. I get a little sad knowing I paid $24 for a burrito in CA, but at least it was an interesting one! Portion wise I felt it was generous and even got the other half to go... which I was able to enjoy on a beach later that day. Since it was so flavorful to begin with, it held up! read more

Came here after seeing it was on Yelp's top 100 and was staying a few blocks over at The Westin. The little bear ice cube in the Ube drink was cute. The food is a fusion of Thai and breakfast foods. We had the Sweet Dreams waffle with Nutella, it was kind of soggy from the ice cream they could have put the ice cream in a separate cup. I also didn't like how the dirty outside of the butter wrapper was touching the toast. I had the crab egg Benedict and it was just ok. Would have been better as a crispy crab cake than cold crab on not toasted egg muffin with a bunch of salad I didn't eat. I think I'm spoiled from the breakfast places in the South Bay so this didn't seem like anything special. The place was also super small and was crammed next to the table next to me. The service was good tho I did over tip and the total came to $120 for 2 people so this place is also not cheap. read more

I've been here twice and have really enjoyed both experiences! First time we had a reservation and we were seated as soon as we all arrived. Great, fast service. The food was so tasty and the presentation was adorable. Even though the place was packed, we didn't feel rushed. Second time, we showed up without a reservation and waited for a little while. But we were willing to wait seeing how quickly groups were getting seats. Once again, great friendly service and food was delicious. This is a perfect brunch spot close to downtown (you can walk from Powell st Bart station). Also a great place to go before a show at nearby theaters. read more

Me and my husband had a getaway weekend to the city. I was looking for gluten free friendly places to eat breakfast and found Lapisara. I got the classic breakfast and my husband got the dungarees crab Benedict. The food was soo good. Never have i ever eaten a salad with breakfast but it all went together well. The lattes are so good as well and love the cute bear theme. A bear ice cube made from iced coffee what a great idea! read more

I checked in on Yelp to get on the list. I walked up and was seated right away. It's located on a corner and it was close by to where we were staying. The latte I ordered came in a cute upside down double lined bear cup. It was so cute. My latte was perfect ($5). Even the mocha latte tasted great ($6). Not overly sweet and you can still taste the espresso. I wish they offered bigger sizes though. I did See the iced coffee come in mason jars so that w pulled have been a better option ($8.50). Out food came out rather promptly. I had the Chicken Waffle. ($25) It included 1 waffle, 2 large crispy boneless chicken, fruit and a side of maple syrup. My favorite was the crispy crunch in the chicken. It had a great flavor to it. The waffle was just ok, imo. Loved the fruit. My husband had the avocado toast ($18). A really endearing brunch spot! Staff is extra friendly, prompt, and professional. We got seated decently quickly on a Saturday morning, within about 15-20 minutes. The restaurant itself is super cute and warmly decorated on the inside. * Ordered the fried chicken over waffles. I would say this was a decently above average version of the dish! The fruits were fresh, the fried chicken was crispy but not particularly juicy. The waffle was decently toasted and incredibly sweet. Decent but not life changing. Would try something else if I go again, but you can't go wrong at all with this dish! This is what I imagine as the typical SF breakfast spot: charming, decent food, and friendly staff. Stumbled up on this place while hungry and frantically searching for good places in SF . Ambience is cute, service is fast. Loved the Thai fusion menu. Many items on the menu caught my eye. I had the mocha, hot ube tea as well. It was served in a cute but difficult to drink cup . Tasted great, loved the ube sugar on top. We ordered chilli bomb omelette and garden eggs Benedict. I wish they had option to customise the menu to be veg . Like we wanted the Tom yum burrito without the meat but they couldn't do that. Parking is a nightmare but glad we came here on a weekday and avoided the weekend crowds. read more

Awesome service, good food, fun drinks! We didn't have high expectations coming to this eatery as we were walk-ins and expected a long wait, or maybe decide to eat somewhere else since there were 13 reservations ahead of us! However, a big table opened up and since we were a party of six, we didn't have to wait long on a Sunday at 11AM! Our fave was the ube latte with a shot of espresso. We requested less sweet (less ube syrup) and it came out so good! We also ordered multiple orders of chicken and waffles, huevos rancheros, dungeness crab benedict and basque cheesecake. Satisfied! We ate so fast we were done in a jiffy! All in all, it is a fun place to eat with family or friends. We will be back. read more

Suuuuper yummy!! The drinks were ok but the food was where this place shines. The garden omelette was flavorful and fresh, filled with tons of veggies. The brioche French toast was coated in a nice crumb ish texture over a soft sweet bread. The amount of fruits were ample and perfect. The strawberry croffle was just dessert at that point ahah. Very decadent and very filling and very sweet. The ambiance inside is super cute. Perfect place for a nice brunch with friends. This is a must-have in SF! I believe their Sweet Dream waffles are the best waffles in the world! The waffles are the most fragrant I've ever tasted with perfect texture. The ice cream, whipped cream, Nutella, and fruit pairs perfectly with it. The grilled pork rice is delicious as well, amazing flavor! The restaurant is small but comfortable and beautiful. We went for Friday lunch at 11:30 and were seated immediately. Expect a wait for weekend brunch though- I typically had to wait 20-30 minutes but now that they don't have outdoor seating anymore, the wait may be longer. It is worth it though. Truly some of the best brunch I've had in SF. My gf's chicken and waffles were really delicious, it's always her go to here, and my croissant sandwich genuinely blew me away. The aioli was to die for! The berry mimosa liter was also STRONG we shared it and both left pretty tipsy. Very busy however so plan for that + I found the flavored lattes were ridiculously priced so be forewarned. Need to try more brunch in the city but loved this spot. They also have an early morning menu too I really want to try, some more unique items on there. read more

Beautiful venue with lots of windows and amazing natural light. We came on a Monday morning and easily found street parking for our party of six. Every dish was not only beautifully presented but also incredibly fresh and flavorful. The clam chowder reminded me of Boudin's classic- rich, creamy, and comforting. I had the Tom Yum burrito, and it really captured the essence of the soup, with house-made tortilla chips that paired perfectly. The steak and eggs (medium well) were spot on, and every egg dish was cooked perfectly. The salmon toast was absolutely delicious. Portions were generous, service was warm and attentive, and the food came out quickly. The space gives off a Son & Garden vibe but with its own unique twist. Bravo to the team - fantastic brunch! All looks awesome on the menu to attract most attention on its dish design and colorful set. For the cuisine, not very favorite at American food (such as omelets, sausage or waffle, not yet in this kind of brunch store), ordered Avocado and Salmon Toast, with 3 drinks. The latte is presented beautifully, a little too sweet though. The coffee is very plain and boring. Anyway, it would be worth revisiting for other items of Benedict, Burger & Sandwich, and properly Scrambles. The owner's website (https://www.lapisaraeatery.com/) is worth reading to learn the store is pronounced as "La-Phit-Sa-Ra" :). read more

We had the most perfect start to our morning at Lapisara Eatery during our girls trip. The whole experience felt so happy, relaxing, and beautiful , exactly what we were hoping for to begin the day. The restaurant itself is lovely and very clean, with such a charming and cozy atmosphere. Everything feels thoughtfully presented and welcoming. The food was absolutely delicious. The breakfast croissant sandwich was soft, buttery, and tasted very fresh. The waffles were amazing , light, fluffy, and perfectly prepared. The avocado toast was also very yummy and fresh, with great flavor. One of the highlights was definitely the ube drinks. Whether cold or warm, they were both delicious and so beautiful. Honestly, almost too cute to drink! Service was wonderful as well. Our waitress was very polite, friendly, and attentive, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Overall, we had such a lovely breakfast here and would happily come back next time we visit San Francisco. Highly recommend! read more
Decent brunch spot overall. We got the avocado toast and the huevos rancheros; both had decent portion sizes and were pretty filling. The flavors were good, though I wish the avocado looked a bit fresher and more vibrant green. We made a reservation since we had a bigger group, but still had to wait a little for the next table to open up. Still a nice spot for a casual brunch with friends! read more

There's often moments in life where you find two things mixed together and you have no idea what to make of it. "Country" and "Rap" ... "Luxury" and "Streetwear" and at some point in the 1960s America "Civil" and "Rights" - which of course proved to be one of the greatest movements. I felt the same thing when I saw the words "Thai" "Brunch" in succession. Has this ever been done before? What could this possibly look like? Is SF ever going to experience the pre-COVID electric atmosphere or will it forever be stuck in its current malaise state of purgatory? My mind was restless; I believe I experienced the mildest of panic attacks. All of these fears were quickly quelled the moment my nostrils sniffed the inside of this fine establishment, and thine eyes saw the dishes. Phenomenal! The drinks were gorgeously made, cute, and even whimsical; highly recommend the Taro tea as you sip it from a little bear. I ordered the pork and rice, and boy was it cooked to perfection! Every bite superseded by the next. If you're a private equity firm or just someone interested in a unique culinary experience, invest in THAI BRUNCH immediately as Lapisara Eatery in SF, won't disappoint. I shall be coming here again and again, perhaps with my son/daughter (once I have created them) one day! read more
