Imagine my luck when, in a new construction home (2025, but close enough), the airgap started to leak when my dishwasher was running a normal cycle. It was a Saturday, so... not a great start to the weekend, and also, not a lot of (decent) plumbers available! Anyway, I posted a project on Yelp, and Homeservice Plumbers were fairly quick to respond after my other Project options (not to be named here) either demanded a phone number or made wishy-washy timing range options (which were not amenable to my schedule). Homeservice Plumbers was quick, to the point, and not pushy or demanding at all anytime I was talking to them. I scheduled for Tuesday between 12-2pm arrival, and Xavier, the first person who came out to see the problem, showed up in a timely manner (just before 12pm!) as he had another service call in the area. He was respectful of property (brought his own shoe coverings!) and was also pleasant to work with. Unfortunately he didn't have the tools, but he was the one to call in Nick who had the requisite tools for the job. He confirmed the service would be possible, and off he went. The next person, Nick was great to work with - he arrived promptly at 5pm (the quoted range was 3-5pm, which was perfectly reasonable), respected the property (brought his own shoe coverings, asked to use a small bowl to capture the grease drippings from the p-trap, and cleaned up after the work was done), and was able to provide a fair estimate for a high value of quality work. He finished by 6:30pm and confirmed the drain was working, and verbally confirmed (it's not on the invoice but I hope I never have issues again!) that there's a one year labour warranty - great deal! I never caught the phone "operators" name (my bad, she called me THRICE and I still never caught her name), but she was cordial, polite, and quickly handled my concerns for updates on when the plumber(s) would arrive. Scheduling through Yelp was simple and easy - and having no "service call" fee means there's no obligation to go through with anything you're not comfortable with. Anyway, short story (really) long: this company is on my list of "high quality work at a fair rate", because (1) they don't charge for service calls, which is a bold move in today's service-oriented environment, (2) they are reasonable with pricing given that I'd done some research beforehand, and (3) they verbally offered a warranty for their services, which means that they're willing to stand by the quality of their work. Call them today for your plumbing issues. Fair, honest, trustworthy service is hard to come by - the companies you see on the billboards aren't the only options in town! read more

I had a faucet leak in my kitchen sink. Called and scheduled, I was told they would be out the next day between noon and 2:00. I got a phone call in the morning at 8:26 saying they would be here in 20 minutes, I was still sleeping. Got out of bed and there was a knock at my door- 2 mins later! I was not prepared. He said they would be back between 2 and 4 to do the repair, they didn't get here until after 5 PM. I was severely overcharged. I was told I would just be charged for parts and labor. They charged me $250 for a $99 faucet, I looked it up. And charged me $500 for less than 20 minutes of labor. Obviously, the timeslots mean nothing to these people. And again, I feel like I was severely overcharged. read more

Homeservice Plumbers did great work for us on a clogged downspout drain. We had success clearing the first portion of the drain, but needed professional assistance with clearing the rest of the blockage. Eli did a through job up to 50' limit of his auger tool. Based on what I've recently learned with roots growing through drain pipes, I would opt for clearing drain pipes with a mechanical auger rather than a hydro jet since something is needed to cut out the roots. After the initial drain clearing, we paidfor an additional service to get a camera into our drain to see if there was any additional blockage. Hudson answered our questions about whether there were any additional blockages up to 100' (there were none), the path and slop of our drain pipe, and the location of low points in our drain pipe with a tool that identified the exact location of the camera. Though the cost of the appointment to use the camera was not inexpensive, I appreciated that we did learn useful information from the use of the camera. read more

We recently had several bathroom sink faucets replaced but had one remaining in our powder room that didn't need replacing at the time. That faucet recently started to leak, so I purchased a replacement faucet and reached out to Homeservice to come out and give a quote. The price the technician quoted for a simple faucet swap was incredibly high. The price I paid before, and was quoted by another company on Yelp, was $300. Homeservice's technician quoted $1000, but said that they would discount it down to $900. I pushed back stating that was 3x the going rate, and he kept haggling it down and going outside to "talk to their manager to see what they could do". They got down to $400, but that was still higher than I'm willing to pay. In summary, if you enjoy the experience of buying a used car from a salesman that keeps going back and forth to their manager to "see what they could do" and wish you could recreate the experience with a plumbing company, Homeservice Plumbers will be happy to oblige. read more

Jared came to helps us assess if we had a outdoor plumbing leak.. Our water bill was extraordinarily high for July. He came promptly on time, and helped us find the correct outside water gauge, and did quick tests to determine it was NOT an outside. leak. So easy to book a service with them through Yelp. I didn't need them out quickly but they happened to have good availability. My drains are unclogged and the service tech they sent out was friendly and knowledgeable (I think his name was Eli). I was very impressed with the value I thought I was going to have to pay an arm and a leg for unclogging the toilets but they were just $99 each drain and only one ended up needing it. They could have charged me for both but are fair and trustworthy. I will be using them again next time I need a plumber! They also didn't drip toilet water all over my house so no mess was made in the process. Very impressed with this trustworthy company. read more
