This small family owned restaurant is the bomb. Went there for dinner for the first time and I got a baby back ribs, mac n cheese, baked beans and hush puppies. If was so good. From NJ and after hearing about Caino's at the Red Barn, we kept trying to come here when we were down but it the past few times were out of season and the wrong days of the week. Glad we finally got to come when it was open! Shrimp, beef brisket, and pulled pork were all great. Large portions and nice and juicy. The sides were classic southern sides done right: green beans, collard greens, mac and cheese, potato salad, cole slaw. Hush puppies were light and delicious. My brother put Pappy's Sauce on everything. Everyone there was super friendly and made everyone feel like family. First off, the people were so warm and welcoming. Secondly, I want to say that this is the absolute cutest restaurant I've ever been in! And as for the food, it was great!!! I had the small rib platter, and got potato salad and collards as my sides. Everything was definitely 10/10 and we're even going back tomorrow as it is only a couple miles from the house. This place is insanely good! Fair warning: it is a good bit out of the way, and it is on the way to absolutely nowhere. But, Caino's is worth the drive. The thing that makes them stand out is the fact that their food is smoked. Brisket, ribs, chicken pulled pork and sausage are the main options. Our party opted to purchase a couple of the sampler platters so that we could try it all. The samplers were HUGE - enough to feed 2-3 people (depending on how hungry y'all are). Side include fries, mac and cheese, collards, cole slaw, baked beans and more. You get two side dishes with each meal. The next time I visit, I am going with a plate of the brisket. It was the best I've ever had in a restaurant. The pulled pork seemed a little on the dry side to me, but I was impressed with everything on my plate. I dragged my husband out of the house not telling him where we were going. We pulled up to the big red barn and we were warmly welcomed and we sat ourselves almost immediately. The owners are so friendly and it felt like we were at home. The restaurant is tucked a bit of the beaten path but it is so worth it. Our food was delivered quick. Both of our meals were cooked to perfection. I had pulled pork and my husband had the beef brisket. We will definitely be back for some more BBQ. Oh and ps, pappy's sauce is life. I really wanted to like this place. It's close to our home and we so want to find some non fast food carry out (worthy of our uncle bens) from time to time. I called to place our order but was left on hold for 4 minutes. I hung up and a lady with a 252 number called me back. She said they were busy with only 2 on staff. I asked if they had a family pack or something. The lady suggested a 3 or 5 meat. I asked for the 3 (sausage brisket and ribs) with Mac n cheese and slaw plus a gallon of sweet tea. I0-15 minutes...awesome. I got there and 1 taller bossier lady was prepping meals and another lady was expediting and ringing people up. I asked to add the "special" peach cobbler without ice cream. 2 small parties were eating and I was in line so it was pretty slow IMO). Pat (lady at the register) took a few minutes to figure out the prices and all that but by the looks of the bags, I did not get a family pack. It was a tray/container and I saw when the taller lady passed it to Pat for a scoop of Mac n cheese. I just went with it as it looked like that was going to add confusion. Anyhow, I paid $26 for the 3 meats, 2 sides, 3 hush puppies, 2 ice cream scoops of peach cobbler mush (never seen it served like that before) and a gallon of sweet tea. The sausage was hot pink in the inside and mushy, the brisket tasted oddly "lardy", the ribs looked like they were pulled from sitting under a heat lamp for a very long time (think old lady from Something About Mary), the slaw was good, the hush puppies were undercooked, the Mac and cheese was forgettable, the peach cobbler was a little too sweet but good to taste and the sweet tea was awesome. Ok service. They're trying but have a ways to go. The food truly needs help. I can't say I'll take my Uncle Bens back there. All this pained me to say because we soooo want good non carry out food nearby! read more

We recently moved here and have been looking for a good bbq restaurant and heard so many good things about Cainos. So we finally came and everything we heard was true, it was outstanding, and I have to say, the best I've ever had! I picked the platter with three meat choices, pulled pork, beef brisket and the ribs figuring I'd like one better then the other. Well I loved all three the same, and I think that's the first for me. So good I had to order a dozen to take home. The only reason I did not rate 5 stars was because of the use of Styrofoam containers for everything. Our small party of three used a total of 13 separate containers for a dinner that could have been served on three plates, with 3 washable water glasses. I can understand wanting to use disposable containers to avoid the hassle and expense of washing dishes, but there are many more eco friendly options out there. Styrofoam is made from petroleum and is not biodegradable. At all. The food here was great, and cheap. Two people can eat (and be full) for $20 or less. The owners were very nice, and the service was fast. Even though the sauce was different than I am used to in Texas, the BBQ was very good. I ordered a side of mac-n-cheese, and it was homemade and cheesy like I like it. Came across this place on Yelp so my husband and I decided to try it. I'd love to give more than 5 stars! Being from South Carolina, I love my bbq and this place is on point! Best meal we have had while living here. I'm also 8.5 months pregnant, so you can imagine how picky I am. I had the pulled pork dinner with homemade mac n cheese (like grandmas) and collards(cooked with bacon, perfect) and my husband had a pulled chicken sandwich(gone in 4 bites).
