Shisha: You name it, they have it, I prefer Al Fakher but if I wanted to smoke Naklah, they have it, Fumari, they have it. Show of inventory! Costumer Care: from the girls constantly checking to make sure you are having the best experience, to the guys packing and serving with such a great handcraft style, adding to that the fact that you can smoke a clean authentic Khalil Mamoo/Egyptian hookah. It sure feels like Cairo! Just saying... Atmosphere: great decor, the light fixtures from Egypt. Amazing... Beverages: the coffee, OMG I love it! Used to be Carthage hookah. Since the new owner and name change, not to mention the remodel, this place is legit. Typical hookah bar setting with music in the background (not too loud so conversations are easy, top hits). The hookah is on point almost every time. Request the coconut charcoal for better hits. A must do at the end of a night out. Parking is a bit of a pain but totally do-able for what you're getting out of it. read more

Great new find in chicago north side. I travel often to the Midwest, specifically chicago and always struggled to find a good hookah lounge that serves Fumari tobacco and stays away from the easy light coals. Cairo has a good selection, coconut cube charcoal, and small dessert menu which does that job. I was impressed with the ventilation, the ambience and lighting could use some dimming. Layout is very good and organized, service was immaculate and the staff was very friendly. Keep up the good work as that would be my place to go when I'm back in Chi-town. read more

This place is amazing!! New and renovated place. Seating is good, ambiance is amazing, and service is top notch. This is my new favorite spot to go in Chicago. Staff Is very nice very accommodating. Parking is available as well. Most importantly, their hookah is great. It's always packed perfectly and long lasting. The coals they use can be either natural or instant lights. The hookah is great - however the service is ok. We always catch ourselves waiting and waiting for someone to attend to us, change our coals or order. This one girl there has very bad attitude, she just sits in a corner and looks pretty doing nothing. Plus gratuity is already included and service is whatever. read more

Let me start by saying I drove an HOUR to this place for some good hookah - yes I know that sounds crazy. However I thought it would be nice to smoke and get some work done. Will start with why I am giving this a low review. I looked through a lot of help reviews to find the place I wanted to go as I am picky about my hookah. In the photos I saw that they used the all natural coal - something that many hookah bars apparently don't do. When my hookah was brought to me with instant coal I was immediately disappointed. I asked him for the natural coal and he kept insisting this was the best one - so I just went with it. Of course it still ended up being disappointing. I do nt like iinstant coal because of the charcoal flavor it adds to the smoke- it ruins the whole thing. This maybe would have given it a 4 star however about 35/40 min in some other guys come in and what do they get? The natural coal I had asked for. This bothered me A LOT especially as this is what I KNEW I wanted and wasn't given. And even more so because I drove the hour for one of the very few hookah bars around here that use natural coal. I've smoked a lot of hookah and know what I want. Needless to say I didn't stay for very long. Now for the good things that kept this at a 3 star. The place was very clean and had lots of outlets! The girl there was very nice. Most importantly the smoke was very smooth! Just sad that the flavor was tainted by the awful taste from the charcoal. I would say the best hookah bar/cafe in Chicago. I come here maybe 3 sometimes 4 nights out of the week and the hookah is always great. The atmosphere is super chill, alive, and friendly. The staff always greets us and the service is super fast. They really make an effort to remember their returning customers. The pricing is extremely fair and they do not overcharge you for anything. Compared to other places in Chicago and surrounding suburbs, they do not rip you off with charcoal tasting hookah. read more

This is the best hookah lounge in Chicago. It is very clean. Nicely remodeled. Not very smokey. The service is exceptional. The music is enjoyable and at the perfect sound level. They are also open late everyday for the night owls like myself. I always have great experiences at Cairo Nights. They have a huge parking lot. This used to be Carthage hookah. I stopped going there because they made weak flavorless Hookahs. It's been remodeled since and looks completely different. Much more open and brightly lit. The TVs on the walls are tiny. Music was okay. The juice options they had sounded and tasted like jumex, but having them delivered in a glass made it look dirty and cheap. Rather have the unopened can in front of me. I do give them credit for having disposable hoses. The choconaras didn't have the clear taste. Menu is lacking. I'll stop bye another time read more

This place was horrible. On a Saturday night.... EXTREMELY LOUD and way over prices and automatic tip is included. Our server barely came over to us, and every time she did she had a terrible attitude and didn't speak english at all, the run down thrift store decor was not comfortable enough to sit in for a long period of time. The music was so loud I could not hear the people next to me and I didn't feel it was well suited for the establishment it was being played at (this is not the time or place to try and be a night club). My party of 5 was not well informed of exactly what costed what and ended up being charged astronomically for a short night! About the hookah: if you know hookah, all you care about it is how it is packed, if the hookah it is Egyptian, the coals are coconut coals, the hookah it is clean and you can see it... It was a Sunday night during a holiday weekend and my habibi and I came to check this place out. We were not greeted by a hostess and seated ourselves. It took over 15 minutes for a waitress to acknowledge us sitting at a dirty table with beer bottles and used hookahs. Once she finally came she had a bad attitude. When we asked about the tea selection, she only replied with "I'll get you a menu." After almost 40 minutes of waiting, we inquired about the juice, tea, and hookah we ordered. She didn't remember our order and asked for us to repeated it again. The decor is nice and modern, but there is absolutely no ventilation. The guys sitting next to us we're blowing exhaled smoke right in my face. Poor service left a bad taste in our mouths so we left. read more

I was in Chicago for the weekend with some friends and we decided to go to Cairo Nights. Since none of us were from Chicago, we relied on Yelp reviews to determine where we would go. Since Cairo Nights had 5 stars, we decided to go there. When we first arrived, no one was at the door to seat us. My friend and I walked to the back of the lounge to ask if we needed to seat ourselves or if someone would seat us. We finally got a seat and ordered a hookah. The hookah came out without coal. We informed our server and she said someone would be right out.. We waited and waited and waited. After 15 minutes, the group seated next to us asked if we would like to take one of their coals since we still hadn't gotten ours. We took one coal to get us started. The coal was nearing the end and we still hadn't seen our server and our coal was never delivered. The people seated next to us gave us another coal. After the second coal, we decided to leave. No one ever came out with out coal OR asked if we needed anything. I'm giving them 2 stars because it really is a cute place...they just have horrible customer service. read more
