Absolutely delicious and fresh !!! I went in to get some freshly baked goods for the family while I was in town. I could not have made a better choice. Even during Covid 19 - the shop was just adorable. I ate a Almond Croissant- hands down the best I've ever had!! So moist and delicate - the almond slices where soft with just a lil crunch. The croissant itself was so soft and so delicious and buttery to the Gods - I enjoyed it sooooo much. Grabbed the baby a dinosaur cookie and mom grabbed a Peach muffin.... I will say - I didn't actually see any peaches in it- but she enjoyed hers too. Win win

The train to NY destination in NJ was down so I went as far south as I could go which took me to South Orange Train Station. I was a little early, and saw a Dunkin' Donuts and figured I'd grab a breakfast sandwich and a coffee and hang out there for a bit before grabbing a cab to my hotel. Fortunately for me DD did not have seats and do I heard towards the Starbucks, and instead, I happened upon this wonderful little gem of a bakery which was right across the way - in fact, I had walked right by it when leaving the station, and didn't notice it at all. I'm so glad I did! I love quiche and there were 5 different choices of quiche. I opted for the classic quiche Lorraine and it was really good. Having made quiche more than a few times myself, I always found it hard to include too much cheese without it losing integrity, but these guys cracked the code. Very cheesy yet still firm. Just the right amount of ham. The crust was light and flaky with just a hint of sweetness. The coffee was good, not great, but good. $7 all in, which is definitely a lot less than I would've spent at Starbucks. They also had a delicious looking selection of cookies and pastries, and there was a fairly steady flow of what appeared to be local customers, which is interesting for the middle of the day on a weekday, so it appears it's popular here If you happen to find yourself at the South Orange Train Station, give this place a try!

Zoom in to see the rat turd!

DO NOT EAT HERE! My fam goes to this bakery every morning and orders the same thing, Almond Croissant. This morning her Almond Croissant came with rat feces. Now imagine how she felt having almost finished eating her breakfast today, let alone all the times she previously ate this Fakery's Almond Croissant. Do not eat from Cait & Abbys or you, too, will be in the emergency room. If you decide to ignore this warning and still eat from this establishment, make sure you inspect what you're eating...you'll be in for a shitty surprise! Note: Taking down this honest review will only make me repost it. Here's a piece of advice to the owners of Cait & Abby's, since the time you took (and probably will take in the future) to have my review removed could've been spent sifting through the flour yall use, to ensure there aren't any rat feces present. Stop stalking reviews and bring your store up to code. Priorities.

they have the best bagels in town by far, you just have to get there early in the morning because they usually sell out by 11am!

I came here at 8:30am on a Friday morning to get some desserts. Got some at 9am and told myself I'll at least wait until lunch to break into it. I lasted all of 10 minutes before the chocolate cake started taunting me. So naturally I took a taste of the cake and the snicker doodle cookie, because being an adult means I can have sweets for breakfast. Both works of art! The chocolate cake is rich and moist and just melts in your mouth. There is vanilla icing and caramel sauce which really adds to the experience. I don't like caramel and even I was kicking my fingers. The snicker doodle cookie was also delicious and would purchase again because it was so cinnamony and perfect, but I'm a chocolate gal through and through. I'm taking on the challenge to not eat all of this before my guests arrive this evening - but I may fail and that's ok. Izzy is the only one working there and she is so lovely! She opened this space because she outgrew her home kitchen. Excited to keep trying the new flavors!

It was very clean and fresh inside and everyone was friendly. I tried shakshuka for the first time, and I loved it! It wasn't too heavy, and the sauce was super flavorful sauce. I enjoyed seeing all of the mediterranean-inspired options they had on the menu. I also ordered a plain iced latte which was great! The espresso was very smooth. We went around 9 am on a Monday, so it wasn't super busy, but I've seen this place packed! The lunch menu also seemed super interesting so, so I would love to come back to try more!

My most consistent go-to is the Matcha Latte with Rosewater Simple Syrup. Sometimes you can actually taste the rose and it complements the matcha nicely. One thing I will say for the women, if you are into cycle syncing, there are so many options here for us. Fave foods to order are the cauliflower pita & lentil soup. The salad is quite filling and fresh. Actually all of their food is fresh. I like the falafel bowl although it can be a little dry. I typically drizzle olive oil on it. The tahini is good, but it's only enough for the falafels. The falafels are good as well; authentically flavorful. Def try the meze options. I've never ordered something and didn't get it a second or third time. I eat predominantly vegan and this spot gives me options galore like I'm back in NYC. Amazing for dine-in and the best at bagging your takeout/delivery. Stapling the liquids inside a smaller bag to stay in place in the larger bag? The most thoughtful packing I've come across honestly. Would love to see them add a vegan pastry or few. I appreciate that they do digital rewards now as well
