Now I've pervious performed at and attended over 100 open mics, at different bars, venues, houses etc, and believe me when I say this was one of my all-time favorite. All the musicians were super talented, the host was a pro's pro, and the audience were incredibly supportive & engaging. The space just felt warm, friendly and had a calm yet electric buzz the entire evening. Also, the bartender, Penny, really seemed to set the tone for the entire bar. She is extremely welcoming, witty and just an all-around positive person. You can tell she really enjoys her job and makes sure that her patrons are having a good time. I was sticking to non-alcoholic ginger beer all night and she only charged me $2 each, how kind is that?! All in all, a true gem of a bar with an open mic that I will 1,000% return to.

He informed me that there is no set time for collecting the fee and that it is entirely at his discretion. I respectfully asked him to clarify how that policy is determined, but he refused to provide an explanation. When I asked for his name, he responded that he "doesn't have one" and immediately ignored me, turning his attention to the next customer approaching the entrance. I found this interaction to be extremely unprofessional and discourteous. My concern is less about the entrance fee itself and more about the lack of transparency and the dismissive manner in which my questions were handled. Customers should be treated with respect when asking reasonable questions about a business's policies. Since he refused to identify himself, I have attached a photo of the individual. Because of this experience, I intend to share my concerns with management. Unfortunately, this interaction has left a very negative impression, and I do not plan on returning.

I've been to Main Street Patchogue a few times before and I'm always amazed at how it's now like Huntington, with tons of eateries, bars and places to hear live music. It was a busy late Spring Friday night and my cousin told me if we were there just two weeks later (ie, post Memorial Day), there would have been lines to get in anywhere. So make resos! I made one easily earlier that day and when we arrived around 7:30, it was not packed, but it is pretty loud in there even half full. Our waiter, Jonathan, expertly took such great care of us from start to finish, even taking my father's dad jokes in stride. There's a solid cocktail menu, but I had a couple glasses of a better-than-decent prosecco. My cousin loved his espresso martini. For food, count on a couple respectable vegan entrees and I went with the Japanese eggplant with cashew ricotta. The eggplant is delicious, slightly sweet with a creamy rather than chewy (thank god) texture. The cashew ricotta is also tasty, but I do think it needed to be blended a bit more to remove the slightly grainy texture (the cashews might have needed more soaking). My father loved his French onion soup and pastrami sandwich. Separate paragraph for the fries. They deserve it. I'm glad we ordered these to share- it's an enormous platter of them. I appreciated that they were salted perfectly. I appreciate restaurants that can make satisfy a variety of preferences and dietary restrictions. The vibe here is festive and vibrant and a great choice for groups and families.

As a seafood fan I had to try Cajun Claws as soon as it opened! My favorite items that I ordered included the seafood tower for 2, brussel sprout appetizer and the tangy chili chicken wings. The seafood tower was prepared perfectly and it was all extremely easy to eat, which makes your seafood experience that much better! Additionally, the brussel sprout appetizer was cooked perfectly and the crispy bacon was incredible. The last thing I need to rave about are those tangy chili chicken wings. They are the juiciest and most flavorful wings I have ever had, a most welcome surprise from a predominantly seafood based restaurant! Will most definitely be returning. read more

My girlfriend and I have been coming here for over 8 months. The Service has been excellent, the hosts have been getting my order correct, there hasn't been any issues. A big thanks to the kitchen staff for making my ultimate boils. Good prices for excellent food. 10/10 food service, cleanliness as well. Our waitress tonight was Carissa, she was awesome, she made sure, we were good. We were celebrating my birthday and we had a blast. She recommended us the blueberry Margarita, which was great. This is not In my neighborhood. I did not plan to come here, but a friend of mine wanted to try because it's new. We went to try the crab and the shrimp and they were amazing! I hesitated at first because the way they serve it, it really didn't look like much. Everything was thrown in together in a plastic bag. But once we started eating, WOW!!! IT was like an explosion of flavors! The sauce was spicy, but it was also tasty. I would come more often if this wasn't too far from where I live. Never had a Cajun Boil before, our waiter, Joe, was knowledgeable and helped walk us through the process. Food was very delicious. It's seafood, so be ready to get messy. They had plenty of napkins available, so that was never an issue. I'll recommend the Spicy Cajun sauce, which, if you like spicy stuff, you'll totally enjoy. It is nice place for relaxing and enjoying the food. The food is so delicious and the spices just use in right way. Usually I don't like to eat lobster, because the lobster meat is very hard to get tasty, but here you can taste it and your tongue will have parties which the seafood flavor and spices combine. Delicious not weak drink but not super strong to knock you down. Perfect balance. The tostones were the star my ancestors were proud . The Mac n cheese was ordered by my friend who did not enjoy it but then again she wasn't really hungry. I enjoyed the buffalo egg roll. Will comeback and try entrees when we are actually hungry.

By the time a server finally checked on us, most of us already had drinks, and we placed our food orders. I had the chicken and waffles, my boyfriend ordered the steak and eggs, and we also ordered a bottle of mimosa.. but the food took forever, and the bottle of mimosa never arrived. We had to go back to the bar for drinks again. Food arrived slowly and out of order, and the staff didn't seem to know which dishes belonged to whom. When my boyfriend finally got his steak and eggs, there were more eggs than steak, and the steak was completely bland. My chicken and waffles finally arrived, and I had to wait an additional 10 minutes just to get syrup. The chicken was tasteless and inedible. Everyone at the table agreed the food was bland overall. The only highlights were the mimosas and tater tots. This place has potential, but they need more staff and much more attention to the food quality. You can change the name a bunch of times but if you can't change the quality of the food and service it's going to fail every time!
