I wouldn't say this was really cajun food per se. But the seafood was AWESOME. came here with my family and EVERYONE loved their food. We all ordered something Different. I had snow crab legs because frankly I Love crab legs and I'll be darned if I can find them anywhere. I understand about wanting locally sourced seafood but once in a while I just want some yummy crab legs! This place didn't disappoint. A lot of the prices were really reasonable. The place was a dive but again WHO CARES? It was good food cheap. Like Arnold Schwarzenegger - I'll be back!

Cajun Corner was just OK. Looking for a new seafood spot that sells live, cooked & fried seafood (they also have Chinese food). My shrimp poboy was good but not anything special. The hush puppies were delicious. The portions sizes are small compared to other seafood places. My son got the steamed plate and it looked like a struggle plate. Overall I'm glad to have them in the area if I need a quick seafood fix.

Just opened up at the corner of airport Boulevard and Cody Road- The butterfly shrimp and fried crab claws and french fries were delicious the hush puppies were one of my favorite I've ever had they remind me of my husband's grandparents recipe did not care for the fried okra or the shrimp fried rice they were just OK- if you want to eat right then you have to eat outside on the picnic tables there's no place to eat inside where you order- no Coke products and that's a big boo! But we will definitely go back for more seafood bold and fried in the future - The price was right!

Make sure you bring your appetite when you come. The food is sooooooooo good and unique. Also, every time we come in, we are pleasantly greeting and receive the best customer service.

The first time I wanted to call it in to do take-out but unfortunately they don't allow that. You would have to order there and wait there till it's ready. So I went there during lunch, the prices are good and they do offer daily specials. I ordered the catfish plate which comes with fries & a side (requested no hushpuppies). The portions were a good amount, I liked the taste of the fish but I wasn't pleased with the batter on the catfish because it flakes off easily. I ordered fried okra as my side and those came out really good. If they have a better ordering system, like being able to pre-pay online for pick-up, I think it'll make the business more successful.

It's shiny a new. I found the portions to be decent and my food was hot/fresh. I wasn't thrilled with the lack of dining accommodations. They have no indoor tables to eat at. They do have three picnic benches beside the establishment to eat at. It's convenient to me so I may stop back by but I doubt it.

Was not impressed with the place. Crab legs over priced for what you get. Not that good. A one and done.

Wintzell's Oyster House 605 Dauphin St, Mobile, AL…read more Visited: April 13, 2026 We stopped into Wintzell's while in Mobile and had a really solid experience overall--highlighted by what may have been the best Gulf oysters I've ever had. We ordered: * 1/2 dozen raw oysters - $12.99 * Fried green tomatoes - $10.99 * Cup of gumbo - $6.99 * Fried oyster po'boy - $16.99 * Total with tax: $52.76 Let's start with the star of the show: the raw oysters. These were absolutely outstanding--plump, large, and packed with that high salinity you want from Gulf oysters. Fresh, clean, and just about perfect. Easily the highlight of the meal. Unfortunately, the rest of the food didn't quite rise to that level. The gumbo was below average--lacking depth and richness. The fried green tomatoes were decent, nothing special, and the fried okra (assuming that's what you meant) was pretty middle-of-the-road. The fried oyster po'boy had a lot of potential. The oysters themselves were fried perfectly--crispy on the outside, tender inside--but the bread just didn't deliver. For a po'boy, that French bread is critical, and when it misses, the whole sandwich suffers. On the plus side, the service was good--friendly and attentive--and the location is great, right in a nice part of downtown Mobile. Bottom line: Come here for the oysters--they're top-tier. The rest of the menu is hit or miss, but overall it's still worth a visit, especially if you're craving some of the best raw oysters around.

The food was hot, fresh and seasoned well. Parking was difficult as the parking lot they have available was full. I ended up circling the area for a few minutes then finally found street parking. Overall great experience and we enjoyed the atmosphere and our time together!

The Server took our order and I ordered an oyster basket with sweet potato fries. My guest ordered Fried shrimp and fried tilapia with fries. The food was fried to perfection however what I received was fried shrimp and regular fries. Although still good, it was definitely not what I ordered. The music was not great, The alternative music doesn't really fit with the seafood decor. Our drinks were not refilled but the Server did offer us a drink to go.

We ordered the fried crab claws for an appetizer and they were SO good! The restaurant has a seafood themed decor. You get bibs and gloves to wear to protect your clothing and so you don't get filthy. Cracking those crabs up can be a little messy! But it's worth it! My only complaint is that our waitress this past time told us that they were too busy to add the sugar to the sweet tea in the kitchen! I thought she was joking but she was not! She said they had made tea but didn't have time to add sugar so she asked him if there was another drink he wanted. Hindsight, we should have just asked for the unsweet and added sweeter ourselves. We spoke to the manager and he tried to rectify the situation. I think he was a little embarrassed by her actions. This situation won't keep me from coming back!
