I met with my kids for lunch. There was only a 15 minute wait. The restaurant was bright and clean. Our server was Katelyn and she was great! Our food was soooo good! Don't expect fresh made food to come out like you're in a fast food drive thru-expect it to take a minute-it's worth the wait. It was a wonderful experience and we are definitely going back!

So nice to have something new on this end of town. The decor is airy and inviting, the staff is friendly and attentive, and the menu offers a wide variety with higher quality, nourishment-minded ingredients in opposition to the typical Sysco garbage being served everywhere else. We went just after lunch on Good Friday and the place was packed so we dined at the bar. Everything our party ordered was fresh and delish and a welcome change.

So excited bcz I love the Lemon Ricardo multigrain pancakes. Came in about 215 on Saturday was very busy at the bar took a minute for the attendant to acknowledge me but once she did, she came and wiped off the bar gave me a menu. I ordered the sweet tea and the ricotta pancakes. Everything came out nice warm just like normal gentlemen forgot to bring me some warm syrup, but once the waitress asked me how everything taste she went and got me some was delicious. I will be back.Juice

Arrived and surprise, they are gone and now this place has sprung up. We decided to give it a try, upon entering the smell was delightful and the fella that greeted us was bland. Opted for the lunch buffet as a way to get introduced to many of the dishes here. Food was dull and cold, very sparse and almost like we were 10 minutes from the end of the day. It was noon. Tea was sweet and served in copper looking glasses nice and cool, would have enjoyed refills. Dude working front was only person we saw and may have been there alone, didn't see any real activity from kitchen area. We were the only seated customers. Several folks came in and got take out orders ordered ahead and one guy got 2 buffets to go, never saw any more (fresh) food make its way to the buffet while we were there, odd. For the price and quality I may try the menu but the buffet is a no from here on out. May just be me but this felt like we were allowed to dig through leftovers but charged a premium price.

My photo isn't particularly pretty, but you can see I got 2 bites of everything I could fit in my first buffet trip so I could decide what dishes I wanted to enjoy more. (Which I did!!) Enjoyed the sweet cultural music videos that played on the TV. We don't live here, but would definitely eat here again if we were in Mobile!

I had the "3 for Me" Smash Burger, which comes with a burger, fries, salad, and a drink. I was excited to have a Sprite, but they were out of it. I then asked for a lemonade, as I don't like any other soda, but they were out of that too. I had to settle for a fruit punch, which I took one sip of and couldn't drink. I was severely disappointed with the lack of drink options on a Sunday afternoon. To make matters worse, the waiter passed out drinks with his hands on the rim of the glasses, which is both gross and unprofessional. Unfortunately, the inadequate service didn't stop there. I received my side salad about 15 minutes after ordering, but we didn't receive any updates on the rest of our food until we went up front to ask about it. Our waiter was not managing expectations well. It's not a big restaurant and it wasn't packed. Forty-five minutes after we placed our order, we were ready to leave. The food finally came out at 1:56, and while the fries were warm, the burgers were room temperature. We sent one back but ate the others. I was so hungry I forgot to take a picture of my food. The burger was just okay. It was not worth the wait at all. To top it off, a bug was flying near our food while we were trying to eat. The food was affordable, but I will not be returning anytime soon. Overall, the experience was pretty bad. My cousin was late to work because the food took so long. If you're looking for somewhere to eat lunch on a Sunday afternoon, I do not recommend this location. Rating: 1.8/5

Anna was the server/cashier working the take walkin / takeout area. Definitely she was swamped. I ordered an Oldtimer w/Cheese cooked Medium. Imagine to my surprise when I returned home this burger was well done. I specifically wanted medium after she said "well done, no pink". I stated no Medium please. I called back up there to speak with the on duty manager but I was on hold for over ten minutes and decided to send you an email instead. I can only imagine what a Friday evening at your establishment must be like. I am not making this up, call yourself and ask to speak to the manager on Duty or better yet be an undercover owner visiting your own establishment to gather information with your own eyes. Looking at all the other reviews I would honestly suggest you address some of the restaurant short coming. The bottom of your receipt states you team takes Pride in providing a great guest experience. Well it wasn't great a leaves a lot of room for improvement. In most cases it starts from the top down! You ever walk into a place and immediately think, "Yep... this is either going to be amazing or I'm…read moreabout to make a terrible decision"? Welcome to Judy's Place. Because this spot is not pretending to be anything. This is full-on, unapologetic dive. And I mean that in the best possible way. You walk in and it's like the '70s, '80s, and a little bit of someone's '90s basement bar all got together and said, "Let's not change a thing." Old banquet-style tables, a bar top that feels like it's hosted a thousand stories, and walls that have clearly seen some things. I loved it immediately. Now let's talk food. The folks next to me were deep into the chicken and dumplings and talking about it like it was a life event. You know that kind of table chatter where you start reconsidering your order mid-bite? Yeah, that. I went shrimp po' boy... and no regrets. Shrimp fried just right. Crispy, flavorful, doing exactly what it's supposed to do. Solid sandwich. The fries... eh, they showed up a little tired. Not terrible, just kind of there. A little cold, a little soggy, like they'd already had a long day. But here's the twist. You don't come to Judy's for perfection. You come for personality. For the feeling that you just discovered a place that doesn't care about trends, doesn't need a remodel, and definitely isn't chasing Instagram. It just is what it is... and somehow that works. Fold this into your expectations. If you need polished, keep driving. If you want real, pull up a chair. It's fun. It's different. It's got character for days. Four stars. And honestly, half the star is just for staying exactly the same all these years.

I had the seafood basket with a side, Caesar salad. I think the menu had it listed as six shrimp and two catfish fillets. Mine came with two fillets and four shrimp, the shrimp were quite small like 36-50 size, and very chewy. The fish was greasy but fairly moist, with decent crunch. To clarify the issue with the size of the shrimp, most restaurants in the area will serve 26-35 or larger with an entrée. The Caesar salad had great flavor and plenty of crunchy croutons and romaine stems, there was a few brown and wilted leaves mixed in so it was kind of off putting once I found those. The bread that came with the platter was lightly toasted but flavorless, took one bite, left the rest. Service was fairly lackluster, which is unusual given their high level of service at the downtown location. My side salad came out with my entrée at the same time, which is kind of a pet peeve of mine, but maybe I should've asked that it come out ahead of my hot food . I just usually assume that most restaurants do this so maybe that one's on me. Neither my fish or shrimp were very warm, almost like they were waiting on the salad? Also, it was kind of creepy that a lot of the servers and staff were just standing around leaning on the walls at the back of the dining room, just seemed off. I actually came in here, wanting to have their tuna sandwich, which I've had in the past at the other location and it was phenomenal. Sadly, it is no longer on the menu. We'll definitely come back here and give it another shot because i do like the menu options and atmosphere.
