Every type and brand of Cajun seasoning known to exist is available to purchase. A freezer and refrigerated display case has other food items to go. Start your meal with the fried Boudin balls. The best item on the menu. Big balls of spicey deep fried Boudin with a smokey remoulade dipping sauce. These are addictive. I ordered the combo. A half, fried catfish Po' boy and a small bowl of Chicken and Andouille Gumbo. I was hoping for blackened catfish, but the waitress said "no can do." They don't do blackened anything. The Gumbo was very greasy, not a lot a flavor. A good application of Slap Ya Mama, brought it to life. A good size piece of catfish with a little shredded cabbage and the smokey mayo made for a tasty half Po'boy. It was a good combo meal. My wife had a nice small side salad with a cup of the "Low Land Gumbo," It was generously filled with crab, shrimp, chicken and Andouille sausage. She liked it. It had a strong fish taste. This place has been around since I was wee little and I have never gotten around to try it so tonight we did just that! The store itself was decorated in Mardi Gras and southern Louisiana decor For apps we got the boudin balls. I didn't find it had much flavor. 1.5/5 We both got 6 raw oysters. A couple of them had a hard middle that I wasn't able to chew. But the other 4 were just ok. I would give those 3/5 I got the crab cakes which were $9 and they were pretty small for the price. Not very flavorful. They were mixed with shrimp. I'd give them 1.5/5 My boyfriend got the Nola po boy. To me, it tastes like a crock pot roast. I love a crock pot roast but I didn't like it in po boy form. 3/5 For dessert we got the stuffed beignet with chocolate and it was the best thing we had out of all the dishes! Cajun Ed's Hebert's Specialty Meats is located diagonally across from a Marriot Hotel with its own parking lot. My husband and I decided to come here on a Friday afternoon for a late lunch. We came in a little after 2 pm and were greeted by a friendly employee behind the counter. After looking over the menu, we ended up ordering the following to go: Signature Salad, $11 prior to tax + Grilled Chicken, $3 prior to tax- So happy to have a salad made with the a nice spring mix instead of that cheap iceberg lettuce. This salad also had avocados, strawberries, tomato slices, cucumbers, nuts, red onion, crumbled bacon and feta cheese. I added chicken to round out this salad and thought the portion was great for one meal. I requested for my salad to be placed on the side. For some reason, my ranch was packed in the same box as the okra (not sure if ranch is served with okra or if my dressing was just placed in here). Side of Fried Okra, $4 prior to tax- I am actually surprised with the amount of side of okra this came with. Perfectly fried and quite tasty. Build your own boil: Crawfish, 1 lb, $8.95 prior to tax- Lightly seasoned, this was pretty tasty. Had a kick to it (for me since I don't eat spicy food but my husband said it was pretty mild for him). The employee taking our order said he would give us butter and lemon wedges but it wasn't in our to go bag. Crawfish Tamale, $2.50 prior to tax- These tamales are pretty small but actually pretty good. There is crawfish inside these small tamales. So this weekend (Friday) 4/24 hubby and I stop by Cajun Ed's ordered some food, paid $61.81. Get home ( from out of town) and found two more service charges by this restaurant under the name Danica B Daneele for $189.00 and another for $98.00. I don't know what kind of shit this is but my husband and I will never return to Cajun Ed's and we will make sure all of our friends from out of town know that the staff at this restaurant like to steal people money when you use your debit card. read more

Went to pick up a Turducken because our family always wanted to try one. I'll update once we have it. While there I decided to have a covered fish. It was catfish with crawfish etoufee. The side was a court maux (medley). The catfish was good so was the etoufee. I was not found of the corn. I was also surprised there was no bread with the meal. The waiter was very nice. The atmosphere is decent. The prices were fair. I saw a family enjoying crab clusters. They looked good and they said they were excellent when I asked. Gumbo, alligator, frog legs, shrimp, crawfish, and catfish was just some of the well-known Cajun delicacies that this place featured on the menu; oh by the way, since it's a specialty meat store, if you choose not to dine in you can also select a variety of meats to take home and cook yourself. Party of four for dinner. Tables were all dirty but the server quickly cleaned off the one we chose. Place is nothing fancy but nicely decorated and matches the menu and pricing. We ordered a variety of drinks including their premade Hurricane Daiquiri. Most of the table was there for crawfish and they made their own boils with their choice of ingredients. It was early in the crawfish season so the mud bugs varied greatly in size but they were well cooked and nicely seasoned. The spicy wasn't very spicy but the have a nice array of liquid hot sauces and dry spices. My friends are self proclaimed crawfish connoisseurs and they said they were really good I opted for the red beans and rice with two stuffed chicken wings. Cooked perfectly and lots of flavor. I would have liked the red beans to have had a little more "gravy" but that's personal preference. The stuffed chicken wings were boneless except for the wing tip and very unique. We all split 3 desserts and I would highly recommend the bread pudding. One of the best I've ever had. Chocolate peanut butter pie was a little rich and sweet for me. The bourbon pecan pie had a great finish of bourbon and was perfect amount of sweet and salty. Price was good for the value and everyone was happy overall with the meal. It is so strange that Tulsa does not have many crab boils considering it's not that far away from Louisiana. Cajun Ed is one of the few. Inside the restaurant, you'll find that they also sell ingredients and frozen foods, some of which are homemade which is nice. I almost considered buying their frozen gumbo but the size was too big for myself. I really came in for the boil though so I got the build your own boil with 2 lbs of crawfish and 6 shrimps. They serve their boil in a metal tray which is okay but the problem is that it does not taste like a boil. I don't know how they make their boil but it looks like they boil them in hot water, take them out, and put them in a heating device to keep them hot. When someone orders the boil, they would take it out and sprinkle Louisiana powder on top. My guess is based on the how dry the crawfish and shrimp are. All the boils that I love been to, the crawfish and shrimps are WET, not dry. The shrimps are medium size and very dry. They taste like grilled shrimps honestly which is not bad. The crawfish are also dry. The flavor does not soak inside the meat, again because it's DRY. What you are tasting is the Louisiana powder on the outside. $33 overall which is okay if I was FULL. Left the restaurant still feeling hungry and I am a small person, 5'5 and weighing 146 lbs. I didn't want to order anymore food because I am on a budget. Okay, that's it. The corn and potatoes would be complimentary if you order three pounds of crawfish. It was the first time I ate boiled crawfish, and I really enjoyed it. I was hoping to taste boiled crawfish ever since I saw Ugly Delicious on Netflix. It is quite a hassle to be peeling off all the shells if you are not used to eating shellfish though. This was the worst experience I have ever had. The only positive was the lady at the register. We ordered our food and being hot we didn't order much. The Hispanic woman who brought us our food was not polite at all. We didn't get all our food and when we said something she went to the trash can and started digging through the trash for the receipt for our $3 item they forgot to bring out. The lady behind the register even confirmed that we ordered it. The food had a chemical taste to the crab. We had to ask for crab crackers. We had to ask for forks. They never gave us napkins. We wanted oysters on the half shell and were told they were only available for dinner.
