Fried catfish and okra were delicious. Portions were generous, and everything was hot and fresh.

About 90% of the orders are to go. Even during peak lunchtime, the place is mostly empty inside. The amount of to go orders is decent. Only one other person besides myself dines in during noontime. Portion size is big. One could probably share an order with someone and still be okay. Certain items are good and others are not as great. Fried catfish is big and good and I like their tartar sauce. The shrimps are big, even bigger than some other well known places. Fried okra is not bad. The batter comes off on some causing those to be burnt but they give you so much that it doesn't even matter. The oyster has way too much batter inside and the mashed potato is not great. Angie's Fish and Wings is like a semi fast food chain and the seafood is superior to Long John's Silver for sure. I would recommend it over Long John's any days of the week. read more

We had the Fish, Shrimp, Okra and Fries and everything was delicious, it was fresh and perfectly cooked, only reason it didn't get 5 stars was there was a mixup, where I was given shrimp instead of chicken. Price was reasonable and would recommend to anyone looking for some fried fish! read more

I love fish fry's , don't you? I expected a basket of fish and chips, basked with malt vinegar and tartar. But Angie's Fish and Wings was not that. I wanted to cry when they told me they didn't have malt vinegar and tartar to accompany the meal that was coming out. Instead, they had their own real deal. We ordered a couple catfish, shrimp and oyster frys. The breading was thin and crispy, the dipping sauce was like a Cajun mix of some kind...enjoyed the fried oysters! The black beans were yummy. I usually frequent the location on 11th and Harvard but they have since closed I believe. The taste was still the same but they didn't have Angie sauce that the 11th st location had. Catfish and chicken basket with 2 sides is a lot of food! Plenty to share! Catfish was nice and crispy and didn't taste froZen! Fresh! Chicken tender was good but it did have a bit of burnt grease taste, maybe time to change the grease. You know what I mean. Okra did have a freezer burnt taste but some ketchup helped. Food was hot and delicious. Fish is incredible, the fried okra was very delicious. The shrimp is huge and plump.

I believe I have been to this establishment 5x now and not disappointed yet. I usually order my shrimp or fish (tilapia) but I finally ordered the chicken wings and they were gooooodddddd! To be honest I am still surprise on how quickly my order comes out piping hot. The cashiers are always nice and respectful towards me and great with a smile. Even though the restaurant is always crowded when I'm there it never feels cramped and it looks clean. I will admit I always get it to go but from what I see while Im there the staff is on top of it. Had lunch here with a coworker today. This location used to be Sam's Southern Eatery and while the name has changed, the menu looks very familiar. The building is old and could use some TLC as it is rather run down, but I came for the food not the ambience. I ordered the 3 Fish, 3 Shrimp platter which came with two sides. I opted for half fried, half grilled with fried okra and red beans & rice. My friend ordered a 10 piece BBQ wings with fries and okra. Being lunchtime it was rather busy and our orders came out in about 20 minutes. The portions are very generous as my fish and shrimp came on one plate, while the okra was in a basket of it's own and the beans and rice in a small bowl. The grilled fish and shrimp was delicious and had a savory seasoning. It was so good I finished that before moving on to the fried portions. The fried....two fillets and 2 huge shrimp. Mmm good. My friends wings also looked great. He was hesitant to come here, but left satisfied. Give this place a try. While the decor is lacking, the food makes up for it......and if that's not enough, you won't leave hungry. read more

Short answer is great food at a great price! Now for the details. While very unassuming from the outside and a bit beat up on the inside, the Place is clean, the food is really good, and the portions are large. when I first arrived there was a menu on each table of Mediterranean/middle east cuisine and I thought I had gone to the wrong place. The family who run it are from that area and also offer this cuisine and it smells amazing. We were hunting for fish and gizzards though and we were not disappointed! The fish was fresh, perfectly breaded in corn bread and had perfect texture and flavor. The gizzards were top notch. most places brine their gizzards to tenderize the meat which makes them salty. I am not sure how they do theirs, but for just a touch more chewiness the flavor was amazing. The breading was flour based, and fluffy. The red beans and rice was really good also especially with a dash of Louisiana brand hot sauce on each table, just wish there was more. The fries were hot and fresh also which is the closest thing I could come to a complaint. THE FOOD WAS HOT! It took a while for it to cool, all was made fresh to order and we had to sit there and blow and wait while smelling amazing. It was torture. This was at a great price too. 6 fish fillets, and about three pounds of gizzards each with two sides with water was $30 with tip fed two adults and two kids I am a heavy eater and we brought home two fillets and some gizzards. I had fried fish and bbq wings. Both were good, especially the wings. Fish could have been cooked a little longer. The downside is some cleaning issues. Tables and floors were very clean, but we were the first ones there upon opening and all the trash cans were still full from the night before. The trash door on the trash can in the eating area was filthy and I didn't even want to touch it. Both bathrooms were filthy and hadn't been cleaned in a long time. Trash cans in the bathrooms were totally full as well. I always feel if the areas I can see aren't clean, then just how bad is the kitchen. Food is good but I worry about the overall cleanliness and food handling. read more

I wanted some wings. Drove over to Angies Wings on sheridan. Give a new place a try that is not a chain. I was blown away. Service was excellent. I ordered 8 fried oysters, 10 sweet chili wings. They were fantastic. The oysters went quickly, sauce with them was perfect. The sweet chili wings needed nothing more on them. Great food and service. Definately going back. I've eaten here a few times before. The food was normally good. And the staff was pleasant and friendly. Tonight I wanted fish, so we went and placed our order. 5:12 the order was complete and we waited. And waited. And waited. We waited 53 minutes for our food. It takes SIX minutes to fry fish. Less than that for that tiny excuse for a cheeseburger they finally decided to send out. And on top of it, the fries were cold! Next time I will bypass Angie's and go somewhere else. read more

you want hot fresh seafood in tulsa. Go to Angie why cause they make the food fresh so you don't eat cold seafood when you get home. Also you have to wait a little but trust me the wait is worth it. because it fresh and hot. Not greasy at all. Also you want chicken or a burger or hot wings then this the place. This is one of our favorite places for take out. The owner and his daughter are incredibly hospitable and already knows us my name. The catfish is the best I've had anywhere- hand battered and fried. We have eaten @ Sam's Southern Eatery now Angie's fish & wings many times. This food is so exceptional and tastie, the same amazing quality perfectly seasoned and cooked every time. I tried the grilled shrimp for the first time tonight and O M G WOW totally Blew me away with flavor. Perfect grilled onions and seasoning mix seared into the shrimp with a lemon to squeeze over the top. I must have more and the shrimp are extra HUGH don't miss out definately try this Restaurant. read more
